Dla waiting times march 2022

Hi everyone,
Anyone waiting for a decision for march guys .. I am so stressed about the outcome it would mean a great deal to my DD to get this award.

@Mynotsoperfectlittlefamily thank you for your reply. I received the exact same letter again lol. I only got that letter 2 weeks ago and now I have another. Hopefully that doesn't mean there is too much more of a delay. Although if it's backdated to when I filled it out, that would be nice , but also we are kind of counting on it to be able to sort my son's room out finally! 😫

@CMED88 I spoke to them last week on the phone mine arrived mid oct they said at least 3 more weeks. It does get back dated to when they first received it 😊

@Mynotsoperfectlittlefamily oh that's great, fingers crossed I'm not too far behind you then. Silly me sent it off too late didn't I as I lost the bit of paper saying the deadline 🤦‍♀️ lol

Hi can someone help me please if you can , 21st of November last year my sons dla claim had been received and scanned , anyone no when I will get a decision?

@Katiewolx sorry it's not the best news but most likely won't be put for decision until early march and then a couple of weeks later they will let you know how much. Mine was scanned 29th Nov and they told me I won't know until near end of march.

Hi every one. Can someone help me with my question please. My 3 year old qualified for the lowest element of Dla due to a chronic rare disease. She is my third child and does not qualify for child tax credit. Does recieving Dla qualify her for child tax credit. Tia

Hi thanks for you message . Just to let people no on waiting , mine was scanned 21/11/2022 for my son and got the decision 27/02/2023 long wait but got there in the end x

@Katiewolx that's great news , do you know if you got the amount you originally went for?
My son was middle rate before so hoping it's the same this time. Mine was scanned 29th Nov, so hoping that maybe it will be with decision maker by next week , fingers crossed 🤞🏻

@Iryn Hiya, I'm not sure if it works like that with tax credits unfortunately where you don't get tax credits for her already. It may be worth contacting those at Universal Credit as if you have a disabled child then you do get a disability element as well as the standard claim. I hope this is helpful

Just a data point: I applied a few days ago and called to check the forms had been received. After an hour waiting on the phone, I got through to learn that they had (phew) and that current processing times are 14.5 weeks (!).

@OxfordB Yeah my form was received on the 29th of November and got our backdated payment only last week. I think it's due to the huge backlog over Xmas and with all the postal strikes as well. Fingers crossed at some point they catch up and hopefully you'll get a decision sooner x
