I'm straight onto it now, i'm doing it in writing as gathering more evidence although I sent plenty and don't feel it been considered properly given the response. I've just today had the outcome of our EHCP which although we've not been given one the summary of needs does say "the Authority acknowledges that _ has social, emotional and mental health difficulties' - I mean if that's just a "normal" child then 🤷‍♀️. Feel so so down, why's it always such a battle to get your kids the help needed 😢 x

I totally get you. You have to fight for everything, it just gets so overwhelming.

I got told ours is with the decision maker, just waiting is like urgh! Is that person actually going to understand ?!

Jazzeybabes89 · 20/10/2022 15:01

I'll keep everything crossed for you 🤞🤞🤞x

Ask for a mandatory reconsideration. My son also get DLA due to chronic lung disease etc I was moved from high rate care to medium rate even though I do his IV antibiotics, physio, nebuliser he still wets the bed has learing difficulties and on a ventilator I asked for mandatory reconsideration and it was declined so after speaking to an advisor she has sent me a new form to fill in and reapply so I'm nervous waiting for decision as I only sent the form yesterday. If I where you I'd go to tribunal if you have evidence and the schools on board.

Anyone for change of circumstances, they are working from 6th of June. Hope this helps x

I called yesterday scan date 18th July , my daughter has been awarded lrc no mobility, cause wearing a back brace and foot wedge and being in pain all the time is normal apparently, my question is if I ask them to look again the award she has right now will that be stopped until new decision is made ? .

sof0301 · 20/10/2022 16:59

How long did it take for an outcome once with the decision maker ??

I think I am the point of no patience 🙄

Jazzeybabes89 · 20/10/2022 18:19

She doesn't attend school due to the issues, I physically couldn't get her to go more often than not due to the severe anxiety, her attendance was 60%. The EP based his findings on her grades at the time she left (March this year) which showed she was working at age 7-11. She now goes to an alternative provision 2.5 days a week, but even there her attendance is currently 70%... all of this was evidenced but yeah she's normal for age according to decision maker 🤷‍♀️ x

Helenmari · 20/10/2022 18:59

Ours was declined to my son is 15 x

Jazzeybabes89 · 20/10/2022 19:15

Oh no 😢 Do you know why? I don't see why we should be penalised due to their ages, it's not my fault it's taken years to get her to this point i've been trying and trying to get the help! x

Angeldust12 · 20/10/2022 19:24

Oh wow well I posted my change of circumstances yesterday guess I'll be waiting quite sometime then

Nickisli1 · 20/10/2022 19:39

Sorry to hear about declines 😭. Hope you are able to appeal. I'm hoping we hear soon (end July scan date) x

stressbucket1 · 21/10/2022 08:23

Hello, I believe we are due a decision soon. We had a mid July scan date. Does anyone know how they tell you? Is it by post? I've never got any texts from them so presume this won't be by text either.

Depends some have had money in their account before anything has been said. But most seem to be a text or letter

Angeldust12 · 21/10/2022 11:35

I just got backdated money paid into my account and worked out the rate myself and when I got back off holiday letter was there stating what rate and for how long

stressbucket1 · 21/10/2022 11:46

OK thanks thats great. Hopefully will hear something in the next week or so.

Pooki82 · 25/10/2022 10:54

Our renewal Scan date was 27th July. I'm realy hoping we hear something in the next week, otiginal runs out in 3 weeks :( . Anyone else waiting on those dates?. I've been watching the chat on here a while it's so frustrating that we all have to wait this long. I dont think they realise the huge impact the not knowing has on people. The anxiety especially with the huge increase in cost all around. 😞

donna123321 · 25/10/2022 14:06

just an update on times for you. mine was scanned June 21st and i got decision September 23rd and back payment September 28th (letter took a further 2 weeks to arrive so worth once you get to 8 weeks ringing once a week twice if with decision maker!) so in all took 13 weeks 3 days. worth the wait though as award high care rate (no mobility as too young so got to add that on next January) good luck everyone!

MotherOfCat · 25/10/2022 15:57

My scan date was 21/07/2022, awarded today.

Nickisli1 · 27/10/2022 12:51

Hi all, I called today, they are working on claims for 24/25th July. We are 28th and still waiting to go to decision maker - she said it should be next week

Pooki82 · 27/10/2022 13:37

Thank you . I was going to ring myself but I just cant face it. I dont get a text message either so it'll be least another 2 weeks for letter plus with postal strikes. I will pull myself together and ring next week. 😌

Weez88 · 27/10/2022 13:45

We got awarded on Thursday, payment went in Tuesday and received a letter today xx

Nickisli1 · 27/10/2022 17:28

I also asked about text messages as I have not recieved one before (only letters with scan date and confirming delays), and she said we will get a text with decision- they no longer send texts to confirm letter recieved but they will send it for decision. She said the claims get given to decision makers in piles of 30, so depending on where you are in the pile will determine how soon you get the decision from that 'batch' ie she said I could be early next week if I am top of the pile!! But who knows!!

Ssabb90 · 27/10/2022 20:45

Don’t mind me asking, are you doing coc or new claim? Thanks

Nickisli1 · 28/10/2022 08:58

New claim
