They received my new application 9th August and I'm still waiting (13 weeks)

shadybaby · 08/11/2022 00:46

I’ve been waiting 13 weeks now still no answer any one know if that’s good or bad?

Weez88 · 08/11/2022 17:33

Hello everyone, I've had a letter from a decision maker from uc, they are backdating my daughters disabled element at high rate to July, do they put the money in with your next uc payment or do they send it out separately?? Any help would be much appreciated xxx

CatherineArthur · 08/11/2022 20:55

Hey Mike went in 16th august and rang yesterday and she said it’s going to DM this week and will hear within two weeks. She’s the first person to be helpful after many calls. I think it depends who answers the ohone. X

Angeldust12 · 08/11/2022 20:58

I've been dealing with the same issue they told it would be in my next payment but it wasn't so I contacted them yesterday to ask why and they put it into my account today

Does any one know how long it takes to hear back when you disagree with decision and have them look at it again

Angeldust12 · 09/11/2022 18:25

Mine took not even 4 weeks and the upgrade there decision ☹

Angeldust12 · 09/11/2022 18:25

4 weeks on wednesday new application I recieved a letter stating they have recieved my application judging by all these comments think it will be after the new year when I hear anything

Rox121 · 14/11/2022 12:20

Hello everyone, I used quids for kids to help me fill out the application she was amazing 3 hour phone call. I sent mine off and they were received on 6th September 2022 had a letter 24th October saying sorry they haven’t made a decision yet but they will back date me if I get awarded. I only sent letters from my nurse and a cater that helps us in her own time , autism report, melatonin prescription and a sleep diary for 3 months. Anyone with the same type of claim been accepted? It’s coming up to about 10 weeks.
thanks

roxanne

Mine went in on 26th august and called today as it’s been 13 weeks and it’s not even with the decision maker yet. I was told a week ago it would be within two weeks if that helps with the dates x

mrsc93 · 14/11/2022 16:18

Im at 14 weeks and I still haven't heard anything, my scan in date was 9th August x

Khadija2022 · 17/11/2022 12:10

Hello,
Anyone waiting to hear from a change of circumstances claim? My scan date was 1August. Rang yesterday and was told possibly in the new year i should hear from them.

Angeldust12 · 17/11/2022 16:09

I am but my scan date was 22nd October so god knows when I'll hear from them maybe 2024 🤣

Tashty10121012 · 17/11/2022 17:27

Hi I'm a change of circumstance, rang last week. I was told could be another 3 weeks wait. I'm on 22 weeks on Tues, my sons renewal is on the 21st of Dec, he also said they could roll it into one. Hope this helps.

CatherineArthur · 17/11/2022 19:17

Hi, does a change in circumstances take longer than new claims? I’m a new claimant and mine should be due in told any day.
thanks x

1977s · 17/11/2022 19:17

Hi everyone money goes in separate to UC but write in journal that you have been awarded or of any change so they can adjust your money , hope this helps , and on my personal experience I would call most days

Ssabb90 · 17/11/2022 19:19

Hi yes unfortunately change of circumstance takes really long. It’s around a 23-25 week wait. It’s a lot longer than a new application x

CatherineArthur · 17/11/2022 22:50

Thank you very much, that’s really helpful. Mine is due any day and really need it like everyone else. I think this is the longest benefit to make a decision at the moment! Hope everyone gets sorted quickly! X

Ssabb90 · 18/11/2022 08:27

It most certainly is, we have another thread for change of circumstance. Lots of useful updates xx

Hey guys, just wanted a bit of advice put my claim in July they said it has been put on the system on the 11th lf August. Still have not heard anything. Sent all relevant information of diagnosis and other health care plans. Phoned them today and have been told it hasn't even got to a DM yet. Do u know how long more it could take.? Tia.

I have the sane scan date and have heard nothing yet

Dee1618 · 20/11/2022 10:33

Child DLA scanned on 18th October, I believe we will have to wait for about 15 weeks 🥴 not expecting anything before end of January 2023 🤦‍♀️ good luck to us all 🙏🏻

Dee1618 · 20/11/2022 10:35

@Angeldust12 we have similar scan dates, 🤣 lets see when we will hear anything. 🤞🏻

Angeldust12 · 20/11/2022 11:31

Last time I had coc I had a decision within 4 weeks as they had lowered my rate so maybe if they are going to increase it it takes ages and if they lower it its quick that's my optimistic theory 😂

Dee1618 · 20/11/2022 11:51

@Angeldust12 oh no! Good luck! Ours is a new application, we’ll see what happens 😂
