Our scan date was thee 19th, can't believe it's taken so long! My son was awarded mc lm and it took 8 weeks! My daughter has the same condition but is worse than my son, I'm dreading them turning her down 😬

Tinker231 · 17/10/2022 13:48

Told me this morning that this week claims is from the week of 12th July.. just seems like the all say different very frustrating

1978mindy · 17/10/2022 13:53

Think they do all say different ,think it’s just waiting game really

Weez88 · 17/10/2022 13:53

I think it depends on who you talk to as to what they tell you, it's very frustrating

1977s · 17/10/2022 15:53

i know it’s a pain but you must phone them every day if you can my claim took 15 weeks and I had to phone them everyday as they were telling me different things daily

Ssabb90 · 17/10/2022 16:19

Hiii I applied for my sons when he was two, unfortunately he didn’t get the mobility element as your expected to carry them around like babies. My son is none mobile and is a big boy so they said he was eligible when he turned 3. He got HRC but no mobility. You can apply for mobility 6 months before turning 3. You will find this rule applies for a lot of things and it’s so frustrating.

Has anyone had any updates yet ?

Weez88 · 18/10/2022 16:05

1978mindy · 19/10/2022 10:48

did they give a reason ?

Jazzeybabes89 · 19/10/2022 11:58

I called Friday PM and was told they were working on 11th July, our scan date is 13th and they've noted I would like a call with decision - not had anything yet so 🤞

So sorry to hear that some of your claims have been unsuccessful 😢 Feeling very anxious about ours! Daughter aged 15 has had behavioural problems since approx age 7, but only in the last year has been referred for ASD diagnosis as her issues have become more apparent at school over last couple of years. She has rigid hygiene and food routines, cannot cope with changes, suffers general anxiety and severe social anxiety, can be aggressive (smash things, physically violent) and has recently been assessed by an EP as working at key stage 2 level (age 7-11). I've included with my claim; GP's ASD referral, paediatrician report and their referral to ASD panel, letter from counselling, Social Services Early Help letter, EP report and Connexions letter. Has anyone else's child struggled similarly and been successful with their claim? TIA x

I called yesterday and the lady wouldn't give me a date they are working on and just simply said it's a waiting game 😶 everyone seems to be told differently 🤷🏼‍♀️

sof0301 · 19/10/2022 12:43

I called today.

Scan date 18th July was told with a decision maker and should know this week. Also they said they some decision makers were calling for clarification so do answer 0800 numbers. 🤞🤞

Scan date 11th August. We are so nervous. Our little boy is 2 and has development delay. Latest assessment by his portage practitioner come out as understanding of 4 month old. We are pretty certain he has autism, but obviously he is not diagnosed yet as waiting lists are horrendous! He struggles with everyday life and he really does deserve this. He is non verbal and has no understanding of words (he can’t follow any verbal instruction). We are really hoping we get across how much he struggles. We just worry, because he is so young, they will just turn it down :(

Angeldust12 · 19/10/2022 18:38

My daughter has lots of sensory issues with clothing and food, has ocd with tidying her room and has learing difficulties she is 10 years old scan date was 15th June was awarded middle rate care low mobility beginning of September

Lissysmum21 · 19/10/2022 20:49

I have the same scan date for my 1 year old. She had heart and kidney defects plus waiting for genetics appointment but she's also now started to show a delay in her development panicking I haven't sent enough evidence of her care needs

Jazzeybabes89 · 20/10/2022 07:01

This is the same with my daughter, she has extremely rigid hygiene routines, sensory issues around noise, food and clothing. And that is all documented in the evidence I've provided. So your reply has given me some hope 🤞

Good luck to everyone. It's so stressful playing this waiting game 🤯 x

Tinker231 · 20/10/2022 10:34

My daughters scan date was 14th July and just received a text saying she qualifies. Good luck everyone hopefully some good news to follow for you and your families x

Leanne12321 · 20/10/2022 11:22

I hope you all get a decision soon.I have waited 5 years for a autism assesment for my 8 year old he does get dla now though after fighting it

Jazzeybabes89 · 20/10/2022 13:27

Just called again to chase and ours has been declined 😢 apparently everything she does is as per her expected age. I can't see how when an Education Psychologist has said she is working at the age of 7-11 for a start, amongst all the other evidence. Really really frustrated and upset by this decision x
