DLA WAIT TIMES THREAD 83

Made a new thread for those of you who need to discuss wait times and ask questions!
Please post your scan dates etc

NC = New Claim
MR = Mandatory Reconsideration
SC = Scan Date

Im waiting on outcome of my DD's renewal due 29/09/2026

I am going to call today, I was on training the last two days so ran out of time to call. When I spoke to the DM I said I would send it next day recorded delivery, and he said it would still take up to ten days to reach him? Even though it would arrive there the next day.

Oh 10 days is a long time! I thought it was uploaded for them to see! Hopefully that’s not the case and he has it now

Yeh that’s what I thought but he corrected me and said it can take much longer for him to look at it. 🤦🏽‍♀️ it was May when I called for the forms so it feels like aaaaaages

Just go through to a lovely guy. The DM received the extra evidence on the 9th and she was awarded on the 15th, MRC and LRM for two years. We will have a back dated payment to a date in May I can’t remember what he said think it was the 25th. Good luck to all of you waiting to hear. This took a long time and although the waiting is anxiety inducing- at least it is backdated.

I just called for my DDs and its still waiting to go to a case manager. Her SD is 27th July. The waiting is horrible!

I have the same scan date. Im thinking back end of next week but did see some 23rd July being awarded today on facebook!

Hi scan date 24th July. Rang today for update spoke to a lovely lady. Who advised it with a case manager its all registered and waiting for decision maker . So I am guessing I am in for a long wait. What exactly does the case manager do ? Thanks

Hey everyone, just after some advice. My claim is currently with a decision maker, I’ve just had my daughter’s surgery appointment letter come in. Shall I send it DLA? She born with an ENT disorder so it’s about another surgery to help fix it. I sent them the appointment brief for her pre assessment where we spoke about why she needs it but this does says the date and what the surgery is for? Thank you

I would, it might make the decision take longer but could also impact what they decide. If ring first to let them know your sending it

From what I understand just from what I've read, I think they are the ones who initially review the application and evidence and can write to school GP etc for further info. I think once a case manager has signed off that the evidence is complete etc then it goes to the queue awaiting DM to review it all and make the decision.

I'm not 100% sure but that's what chatgpt told me and what Google told me haha. I think DM can still decide they want to write to school or GP but it's rare if already been through case manager without doing so x

I’m ringing for an update. Scan date is 27th July ( I think ) not rang for a few weeks.. not sure why I’m bothering ringing as they always just say it’s in a queue but can live in hope lol xx

Hi all,
We submitted NC at start of May 2026. Got rejection within a few of weeks. But the things listed on the rejection letter (of why they give DLA) directly applied to our son.

So submitted MR 20/06/2026, confirmed scanned 25/06/2026.

Not heard anything back, so I rang up today but was told it's not with a decision maker yet.

Which is frustrating.

I just called up to see if there was any new as I have seen alot awarded around the same time.
The women was so rude basically said dont call back until the 25 weeks are you. 🤪

I will probably call back Friday. 🤣

The wait is awful. On Thurdays it will be 9 weeks for me.
I wish there was some sort of online tracker.

I’m 14/07 and heard nothing, just got completely fobbed off when I called yesterday.

But I’ve seen so many 13/07 being done over a week ago and 14/15/17 quite a few 20th dates as well being done. I know there’s often extenuating circumstances in why it takes longer but it’s really tough to keep waiting when everyone else’s is done.

Plus they just don’t text or send letters, and my post is 6 weeks delayed as is. So is probably not get a decline through if it is one.
