Let me know how it goes lol!

I’m 14/07 and heard nothing, just got completely fobbed off when I called yesterday.

But I’ve seen so many 13/07 being done over a week ago and 14/15/17 quite a few 20th dates as well being done. I know there’s often extenuating circumstances in why it takes longer but it’s really tough to keep waiting when everyone else’s is done.

Plus they just don’t text or send letters, and my post is 6 weeks delayed as is. So is probably not get a decline through if it is one.

I will keep you updated. 😁
My post is also awful.
I have seen so many done for the last 2 weeks of July. I hope I hear before Friday.
Good luck to you 🤞🤞🤞

Mumto4and5 · 16/09/2026 18:10

When I rang she basically said nothing has changed in the past 3 weeks since I rang. No update and no movement. Just need to have patience and when it’s decided it’s decided.. she seemed like she was having a real bad day lol xx

AlertSloth · 16/09/2026 18:11

I have an awful feeling I am going to be declined. I wait has be so anxious 😟

I phoned again yesterday I have the same scan date as you 16/07 and they said it was still waiting for a decision maker 😭 I also have a feeling my son will be declined. It’s giving me bad anxiety I’d rather just know, hope you hear some good news soon 🤞

Do they know on the phone the last time you rang? X

They must do. She said nothing has changed since I last rang, there’s been no progress and it’s not been picked up by a decision maker or anything. X

MyLifeHasChanged · 16/09/2026 21:08

@NewBlueOP Well done! A big worry off your mind!

UPDATE

Renewal due 29/09/2026

Called today and all renewed same rate MC & LRM for 2 years (as still on diagnostic wait list since early 2023! - South London) These are not mild symptoms of ASD either, its just an absolute shambles of an NHS wait list. My child is now 10 and has had very obvious issues since 2 years old.

I had my decline through the post today 😩😅
I’ve rang and requested the statement of reasoning to be sent out since I only have the generic reasoning of not requiring an hours care or intermittent help with a bodily function…..my sons oxygen can drop to 85% at the drop of hat, I’m pretty sure breathing is one of our most valuable bodily functions 😂
good luck everyone 🫶🏼

MyBoysMyEverything · 16/09/2026 22:18

Update -
called for forms 27/05, sent 04/07
SD 10/07
Decision made 10/09
extra new evidence sent recorded 11/09
payment received 14/09
called today about the extra evidence and the lovely lady said she would email the DM to review new evidence so could possibly change reward which is MRC/LRM currently.
Good luck ev1!

Ridiculous, I’m sorry. I’d do a MR immediately.

Lulubells95 · 16/09/2026 22:31

I've only been waiting just over 6 weeks and although I feel impatient I've been fine with the wait but for some reason it's consumed me today 🙄 I felt like I was genuinely nearly having an anxiety attack thinking about it just because I don't think I could take it if he didn't get an award as I know he should qualify but I'm panicking I've not put enough in the application. God this is the worst lol I wish they'd just let chatgpt make the decisions 😂😂 haha xx

That is awful, honestly I don't think breathing issues get enough recognition at all or are understood well XX hope you can do an MR and get what your little one should get xx

What did you send over with the form? Can you send any thing else

I've sent his current SEND monitoring support plan from secondary school, his ASD referral form from primary school (from a year ago but it's really good and detailed), his acceptance onto the waiting list for assessment, emails to school regarding toilet accidents and masking and emails from school confirming he will be on a gross motor skills intervention and social skills ones. The statement was from my mum who often cares for him ..and my son is himself around her completely so she sees exactly what his needs are ....I did that as it was summer hols when I sent it in and no reply from school to do it. But to be honest it a very detailed well written letter so even though it's family I do hope it makes a difference overall.

Im just worried it won't be enough. I have found a few more emails that are good evidence but I don't think they're such strong evidence that I want to risk delaying things x

It's usually how it's worded on the form I find. With my eldest I send only a copy of referral and a daily diary my friend sent loads of evicencd with her child and she was declined and I was awarded. She didn't have a clue how to do the form, it can be frustrating etc. I did a MR with my son and went from MRC to HRC and all I sent extra was a daily diary they really help x

Does he have a care plan at school that shows what support he has each day? This is what I sent over as well as her safety plan. Anything that breaks down exactly what the adults are doing to support him. Does he do any sport ? My daughter’s gym coach also sent a statement to show how it impacts her there, this showed that she is affected at school home and at lesuire activities. It also helped that her gym coach is a school senco so she wrote a really detailed report. We also printed the GP appointments that related to her needs, you can get the receptionist to do this, it can prove how long it’s been going on for. Fingers crossed for you x

Yeah I wish I did one now. I am a social worker with adults and I do assessments around people's needs etc so I'm hoping I'm good at wording it seen as it's my job to explain people's needs properly haha, hopefully I've done it how they expect it to be worded 🤷🏻‍♀️ xx

coc SD - 16th July

hey everyone,
is there anyone here who’s been done around this date? How long did your coc take?
my daughter was formally diagnosed with Autism yesterday morning, she’s only 4. Ehcp sent and she has a specialist school placement starting next week. Non verbal ect. Should I call them and let them know we have diagnosis or wait for report to come and just send it 🤔 On middle rate care atm but she’s cognitively at 11 months of age so we are gonna fight it and get what she really deserves hopefully.
