Hi everyone I’m new here. Scan date is 13th July I called today no decision still as of yet. Hope you all hear soon with positive outcomes x

That’s exactly it, the anxiety was stopping me from calling before but now the impatience outweighs the anxiety if that makes any sense 😂

🤞🤞🤞 xx

🤞🤞🤞 xx

I got through quite fast today, spoke to a lovely woman named Tracey and she said it’s with a decision maker but no decision yet, she has popped a note on the system for me to receive a text when it’s done because all my mails delayed at the moment, not our time just yet 🤞🏻

Wahoo well it could be today you never know 🤞🤞 I’m tempted to call but they only received the birth certificate on Friday and I’ve already called about my MR this morning tried to sneak an update but was told I had to call one of the other lines 🤣 xx

I’ve just got off the phone with a lovely woman and she said that a decision has been made, payment has been approved. One down one to go.

I waited approximately 8 weeks

Congratulations 🎉 my SC is 20th so hopefully will hear something soon but at the same time feel anxious knowing I could hear something soon in case it's bad news. The waiting is horrendous good luck everyone who's still waiting

Becks2026 · 15/09/2026 15:11

Hi all, just following the thread and hoping people aren't left waiting much longer. Some helpful info I was told by a few people ( ex workers, ai and current staff) to explain why dates aren't in order. You get your scan date and then it goes into a queue to be checked ( missing details or blank pages) this is also when they might request id. If you are missing anything or waiting on birth certificate your application is technically paused until they receive it and then others scanned the same time as yours moved to next queue. This is one of the reasons some are completed before others with very different dates. Another reason is depending on the evidence supplied or the complexity of it all the DM might either have to wait for medical/ school professionals to write back or input from another colleague. This can also delay your decision by 4-8 weeks based on Dr/ school response times. While waiting for the responses the DM will do other claims which again might be why other dates overtake you.

None of the above helps anyone I know but I just wanted to clarify incase someone is feeling anxious at why dates after theirs have been done. It might not be 100% correct but it's what a few people shared with me and it helped my anxiety a bit to know it doesn't mean yours has been denied if other people after you have been awarded.
My son is 16 months, none mobile with development delay and a hie grade 2 brain injury, our scan date was mid august and the anxiety that we will be rejected is immense.

Md234 · 15/09/2026 15:23

My scan date was 28/7 and it’s waiting to be picked up by the decision maker! So hopefully not much longer to wait x

Morning all - is it looking more like a 9 week wait now? When I sent my forms most were getting decisions within 5-7 weeks😫🤣

Good luck to everyone still waiting and I hope you hear good news soon! Xx

I noticed this too. A few weeks ago it seemed most people were getting decisions around 7 weeks, but now 9 or 9 1/2 weeks seems the average 😞

themoirarosee · 15/09/2026 15:53

I caved and called today, they just said they’ve got high amounts of applications and cannot give an update. And that they’ll write to me when a decision is made, it’s 9 weeks today. I’d hoped to have heard something by now.

Md234 · 15/09/2026 15:56

My friend applied for her little boy her scan date was around 26th June and it took 7 weeks for it to be accepted and payment was in bank within that 7 weeks! So does seem a bit of a longer wait at the moment, fingers crossed for us all🤞xx

For renewals you’ll usually get a decision around 1-2 weeks before it’s set to end, they don’t go in date order for renewals I’ve heard, it’s more of a case by case situation

That’s just what I’ve seen on Facebook etc, I could be completely wrong🤷🏻‍♀️ they don’t seem to go in any order for new claims these days so it’s better than nothing I guess🤷🏻‍♀️🤍

Forgot to mention that I didn’t send much additional information they do have his previous information and add diagnosis on the system so even though it was technically classed as a nc they were able to access the previous and also he got the same as last time hc and lm. My brain wasn’t working properly earlier lol

I have seen a few of end of June on Facebook, has the decision maker given any updates on the mobility you sent evidence for? Fingers crossed he makes it soon!

That’s a long time, I’m at 9 weeks which is bad enough. I would definitely call for an update. Never mind if they get mardy on the phone!
