SD 5/8

Rang again today ... why not 😂😂

In queue for CM 🤞

Mines 6/8 and been told was waking for
DM twice, once in-between
still said was on cue. Is a DM who decides final decision after a CM has looked at it? X

Yes so first time I called it was still waiting and can’t update further, second time I was told it’s with a dm I called again and they said they don’t know why I was told that then I called again and they said they don’t get told that info and that it’s just gone up in the Que and can take upto 25weeks 🙄🤯

Wow 4 calls today, don’t think I could handle the music 🤣
Well that’s rubbish. I wouldn’t take too much notice of the 25 weeks, that’s just a fob off, been watching it move forward through dates - we’ve seen in the 20s of July. I think some are just awkward jobsworths and it wouldn’t be surprising and also fairly normal from a system perspective if there’s different levels of staff with different access, so some can genuinely see more info than others. Xx

Mumto4and5 · 28/09/2026 18:46

i do find when I’ve rang I usually feel worse from ringing , as I feel more anxious. I’ve been trying to avoid unless really need to speak to someone. Hoping this whole wait will be over soon xx

I believe so , I think the Case worker does all the admin side. Check the forms, check ID etc basically prepare the claim for the decision maker to then look at it and decide. Xx

Seeing lots of payments on groups for 20th/21st! Anyone around those dates had anything today? I’m the 22nd of July and it’s just playing on me terrible! I’m losing hope lol x

Horrible isn’t it! I’m happy for people getting decisions but it puts me on edge for my claim x

Md234 · 29/09/2026 08:55

Just got of the phone he said it’s still waiting to be picked up by a decision maker and to call back in a few weeks. But what I chose to hear was…. It might be it might not be so just call again later 😂

I honestly wouldn't ring multiple times a day your just annoying yourself.

Mummyof2under4 · 29/09/2026 09:46

what options are people pressing when calling? I haven’t called at all since I requested the forms in June 🤣🥲 but tempted now! Just worried they’ll be arsey 🤣 x

Md234 · 29/09/2026 09:48

@Babybell8 I would be the same though! I hate getting told different things lol! @Mummyof2under4 option 4 I press and they’ve been quite helpful to be fair it won’t hurt to give a ring just for an update xx

I’d definitely call , sounds like you’ve been waiting a while. Hopefully you get some good news . I know people say to press the option 4 at the end but I’m not sure how much difference it makes. I’ve only rang a couple of times to see if extra evidence is there and also birth certificate xx

Mummyof2under4 · 29/09/2026 09:50

@Md234@Mumto4and5thank you ladies! ❤️ I’ve been waiting forever lol! My friend got a decision within 3 weeks back in May! 😭 it’s a risky claim as my daughter is only 2 but is GDD and suspected ASD with delays across every domain and didn’t walk until she was 27 months. I have ALOT of evidence but I know it’s hard as most 2 year olds need a lot of care. X

Hopefullyitcan · 29/09/2026 09:55

Just be mindful of repeatedly ringing DLA for updates. If your claim says caring for your child takes up virtually all your time, spending hours in phone queues and regularly posting online about the claim could potentially raise questions about whether the overall picture is consistent. It doesn’t mean contacting DLA is wrong, just that I’d avoid unnecessary chasing.

Mine is for a 4 year old who I know myself has high care needs due to multiple medical conditions etc. it’s just the anxiety of whether I expressed it well enough on the forms. We must all be getting close to a decision now xx

Md234 · 29/09/2026 10:05

@Mummyof2under4 my little boy is only 2 also. So I don’t hold out much hope but we could be pleasantly surprised x
@Hopefullyitcan yeh i mever thought of it like that I can see what you mean. I only ring once every week or couple of weeks just to see if there’s been any update x

Exactly this. My daughter has a 1:1 for playgroup and can still only attend 1 hour 30 minutes of a 2 hour 30 session because of her needs being so high. Every day it’s a huge battle but it’s in someone else’s hands to decide if it’s enough 😭 x

Mummyof2under4 · 29/09/2026 10:10

@Md234hopefully we are! I see a lot of people with 2 year olds getting it but I don’t know the circumstances all I know is my daughter should meet the legal test for middle rate care based on the guidance I’ve read for assessors but it’s down to them to decide 😭 x

Someone contacted my little girls school yesterday. She only started 2 weeks ago so I was worried how much they could tell them in such little time . He’s done a report for me which I’ve posted today , which basically confirms everything I’ve said . Did playgroup do a statement for you as well? Xx

playgroup didn’t do a statement however early support in my area did which stated she was approved for targeted support aka 1:1 support in playgroup! (They work closely together). And they were trying to address her self regulation skills before addressing any other developmental concerns. As far as I’m aware the DLA haven’t reached out to the playgroup and I’m sure they would’ve by now if they were going to. X

that sounds like really strong evidence to support your claim. I have a 5 year old as well and the difference in care is huge between them. They couldn’t be any further apart. X
