We have been awarded the same as before mrc lrm.
I am really considering asking it to be looked at again because his night time needs are high!

Can not sleep on own, wakes up 3 times a night for at least 20 mins screaming!
Has melatonin already which does help but not to keep him to sleep.
Has to be woken up every night to use the toliet as he will wet the bed which if he does is hell but he wont tolerate pull ups.
I can not leave the bedroom as that makes him get up screaming as well!

Just not sure if it is worth it or not.

I’m on the phone currently waiting to get through🤣 couldn’t help myself just out of curiosity! I feel I’ve got another couple of weeks yet but at least I’ve phone like you say instead of spending the weekend wishing I had!xx

Did you get though lovely? Xx

themoirarosee · 25/09/2026 13:55

I just called per their request on Tuesday after the whole form not registered for 11 weeks debacle.

Got through on option 4 after 34mins to a really lovely man who listened to me waffle and reassured me, then told me they’d made a decision and issued backpay of £1593.90 for 29/09 and that my son is on HRC and LRM.

Next payment of £579.90 on October 27th.

I know right I’m so relieved! He was so nice to me, even reminded me about updating UC and gave me the dates to do so.

Good morning everyone just randomly checked my bank account on the off chance and saw payment from DLA looks like be awarded HRC no mobility as little one is only too. I'm still crying and shaking thank you for this group you have been amazing. My scan date was 20th July and it's been backdated to day I called for the form if that helps anyone. Good luck to everyone still waiting xxx

Absolutely amazing congratulations

Md234 · 25/09/2026 14:27

@Friends94 yeah I did, just as expected still in the queue to be picked up by decision maker! She said they are taking some time at the moment but it’s all in the correct place so I guess it’s just wait and see! I’ll be ringing again next week at some point just to see if any update xx

Are people actually receiving texts to inform them a decisions been made?

Nhsworkingmum96 · 25/09/2026 17:37

So fed up of waiting.. scan date 10th August. I know I haven't been waiting long but we've been told by the council, we cannot get an additional room on our bedroom need unless our son gets middle rate, so now I'm worried about that. Even though we have many supporting letters stating why he needs another room, but our council states this is a requirement. No pressure at all :(

It seems pending payment or managing to call before a decision goes out seems to be what I have heard

I feel you, I've been waiting 14 years for an adapted property with my council, I've got 3 kids with additional needs too and I'm only aloud to bid on 2 bed properties. Life's hard enough without all these extra issues that shouldn't be adding to it.

Hi all,
We submitted NC at start of May 2026. Got rejection within a few of weeks. But the things listed on the rejection letter (of why they give DLA) directly applied to our son.

So submitted MR 20/06/2026, confirmed scanned 25/06/2026.

Not heard anything back, so I rang up today but was told it's not with a decision maker yet.

Which is frustrating.

my MR is the same scan date as you 25/6 i’m still waiting to hear hopefully it’s soon xx

3kids84 · 26/09/2026 12:38

i got a text to say it was received on 22/9/26 is this the scan date?? First time doing this for my second son, when I was applying for my eldest there was no texts etc was just a waiting game. Im
planning on not hearing until dec

Incase anyone is waiting for a renewal, my sons was due to end on the 10/10 and this morning I had a random small payment of £37 so I called them and they said it’s because his care rate has increased to HRC. They sent to money 3 days ago so means he was awarded around 22/09 so they seem to be doing the renewals a little earlier than I expected. Hopefully others will hear soon but if your around my sons renewal date it may be worth a call to check. When I called last week I was told to call back on the 8/9th so glad I did today

il still waiting to here- my scan date for a renewal was july 6th. Current award runds out october 6th still waiting to hear!

I haven’t had a letter or text from them yet. I only found out as I had a random payment of £37.90 so I rang up and used option 4 and they let me know that it was due to my son going from MRC to HRC and told me the date of the award. It might be worth you calling Monday and checking with them
