Made a new thread for those of you who need to discuss wait times and ask questions!
Please post your scan dates etc

NC = New Claim
MR = Mandatory Reconsideration
SC = Scan Date

Im waiting on outcome of my DD's renewal due 29/09/2026

Good morning everyone just randomly checked my bank account on the off chance and saw payment from DLA looks like be awarded HRC no mobility as little one is only too. I'm still crying and shaking thank you for this group you have been amazing. My scan date was 20th July and it's been backdated to day I called for the form if that helps anyone. Good luck to everyone still waiting xxx

@ShyRedCrow congratulations really happy for you! My son is also 2 so I’m a bit hesitant on weather we will get rewarded but I suppose only time will tell x

Seen on here and on Facebook that lots of people with scan dates of 20th July received money into their bank accounts this morning and yesterday.

Looks like a lot of the claims at the moment must be being decided at around 9 weeks, then money arriving in banks within 3-5 working days after that (although most people are only finding out by the money arriving).

My scan date is 29th July, so I'm at 8 weeks 2 days. Hoping mine will be processed next week and payment the week after?

I’ve not long spoken to someone as I needed to check my evidence has arrived and added to the claim as I couldn’t remember if I put the reference down or not. She was really nice and was explaining at the start of school holidays there was a huge rise in claims submitted. So that’s why people are being told a long wait from 23rd July ( approx ) scan dates. She said it doesn’t mean it’ll be the 6-8 weeks longer people are being told but just to make them aware the wait time has increased from then. X

Oh I hadn't heard this. Hopefully they're just saying 6-8 weeks longer to put people off phoning for updates 😂

Hoping the wait goes quickly for everyone.

I was told back in the school holidays, they have more staff absence holidays taken for school holidays etc so takes them a bit longer with less staff xx

Incase anyone is waiting for a renewal, my sons was due to end on the 10/10 and this morning I had a random small payment of £37 so I called them and they said it’s because his care rate has increased to HRC. They sent to money 3 days ago so means he was awarded around 22/09 so they seem to be doing the renewals a little earlier than I expected. Hopefully others will hear soon but if your around my sons renewal date it may be worth a call to check. When I called last week I was told to call back on the 8/9th so glad I did today

My sd is 28th July sort of want to ring to see if any update but only rang beginning of the week and just get told it’s waiting to be picked up by decision maker lol x

lol it can change in a day so you never know. If your anything like me, probably better to call than spending all weekend wishing you had 🤣

Definitely ring if you feel it’d help , it’s their job at the end of the day . If we didn’t ring they wouldn’t need to be there lol xx

Definitely call as it's the weekend and at least you won't be saying "wish I had called now"🤣 my SD is 23rd July I call every Wednesday for an update but I'm intrigued to call today as a lot of 20ths are done so hoping mine would be with a DM (probably not🤣) xx

I’m on the phone currently waiting to get through🤣 couldn’t help myself just out of curiosity! I feel I’ve got another couple of weeks yet but at least I’ve phone like you say instead of spending the weekend wishing I had!xx

Ahh that’s why it’s taking soo long! my friend had a decision in 4 weeks back in May! X
