I’d take that with a bucket of salt 🤣🤣 I’ve been calling almost weekly since May now, always been told can’t give timelines. Going by what everyone is reporting, they are well into July dates and it looks like batches rather than clearing day by day x

Edited

How annoying - no point me calling, I'm the 23rd and was going to call Wednesday but probably still the same and in a queue 😔 seems the waiting time is going up each week 😫

I’ve seen that it’s their published aim/target. Think it depends who you get when you call, some don’t tell you info, others are really helpful and clearly some are plucking figures out of the air. I think it’s more important what the status is for an update. There was a lot of people getting payments last week up until 17/7, but those decisions must have been made the week before as the payment processing is 3-5 working days x

MarieR91 · 21/09/2026 13:07

SD 17th July and received a text today to say that she qualified! Such a weight off my mind. I’d convinced myself her claim was going to be rejected

SilverGlitter26 · 21/09/2026 13:09

So my daughters scan date was 4th august. She said its still waiting to be assigned a Case worker & from the scan date its taking about 2-3months. So august dates we are looking at November time

Haha no worries! Yeah I'll probably call Wednesday, as I call once a week usually on a Wednesday 🤣 did you have to send a bc or anything else off or did it just go straight through to the DM queue? I didn't have to send anything of and has been in the queue for about 6 weeks now 😫

Usually a case worker registers the claim - did she say if it has been registered? If not, she might mean it's waiting to be registered.

I sometimes get confused as they told me case worker does the registering and asks for further rinfo if needed and a decision maker does the final decision. But I have seen DWP mix the titles up xx

Castiel07 · 21/09/2026 13:16

How close to the end date are people getting there renewals looked at?
I hope I have sent enough evidence, letter from schools SENCO,paediatrician,EHCP, evidence letter documenting 1 to 1 full time and all the support he gets.
All the meds he is on,OT report.

@Emz73 replying to both you! I actually managed to get through by some luck✨ my daughter has been awarded Higher rate care and low rate mobility, the lady on the phone said she could literally hear my voice shaking my anxiety had well and truly got ahold of me😵‍💫 for reference, my daughter is 6.5 years old, has suspected ADHD and anxiety, no diagnosis as she’s not old enough to be put on the pathway where we live, I submitted her sensory evaluation from 3 years ago, I’d accessed her medical records to retrieve the notes from many paediatric mental health appointments, a physiotherapy report, speech and language report, no recent evidence from school, only from reception (she’s just gone into year 2), school wrote that “she struggled previously but currently doesn’t show any concerns”, which me and them know is not correct but clearly the evidence I’ve gathered outweighs what they said, I honestly don’t remember what I’d wrote because I’ve been so focused on what her school wrote and thinking it would get her declined, so glad the decision maker saw straight through it, feeling so lucky and grateful today, a really pleasant end to a really dreadful day, our scan date was the 17/7 btw to anyone who got to the end of this very emotional paragraph💖
