Made a new thread for those of you who need to discuss wait times and ask questions!
Please post your scan dates etc

NC = New Claim
MR = Mandatory Reconsideration
SC = Scan Date

Im waiting on outcome of my DD's renewal due 29/09/2026

From what I’ve seen on here & Facebook a lot of 16th/17th have been done so hopefully moving on to 20th. It’s driving me up the wall

I’m the 14th and still waiting 😬 pretty certain that means it’s a decline and I’ll need to wait for the letter. Which could take months, post here is every 6-8 weeks. Had a huge bundle on Saturday so not expecting anything else for a while, for some reason they didn’t and don’t text me

@Mumto4and5 my scan date is also the 28th! Anxiously waiting ahaha x

Same, hoping be decided within a few weeks. I’m ringing tomorrow to see if they got my extra evidence yet x

My scan date is 20th July so hopefully won't be much longer. Here's hoping we all get some news 🥰

Rang for forms 30th june. Scan date 4th august

My SD was 16 July. Hoping I hear today. Don’t want to ring again as only rang on Friday. I know it’s with a decision maker.

What number should I be using to check on my claim?

It’s 0800 121 4600 then enquiries is option 4 on the last set of options x

similar to me, I’m going to call Wednesday if I don’t hear anything.

Mines the 17th July I haven’t heard anything yet either, debating calling but even see the point now just get told something different every time x

My scan date is 28th July so I’m going to wait to ring as probably got a couple of weeks yet x

I’m on hold, been 49 minutes so far. Bet I’m ringing at the worst time on a Monday morning though . X

So I just spoke to someone to see if they had the evidence. It hasn’t arrived yet and they said will take 2-3 weeks to arrive and be scanned on due to the amount of claims they have at the moment. They received my forms on the 28th July when I got the text but my scan date is definitely 6th August when I received the letter. He was really nice but said he’d expect probably another 4-5 weeks before the decision maker is looking at the claim. For every claim date it’s taking approx 4/5 days to work through that scan date at the minute . So definitely could be a while x

Just wondering if people who have had decision or been told it’s with a decision maker had a text and that’s the date of their scan date or if they received a letter after this with another date on? X

So what I’ve been told is when you send the form it goes to the mail room, it’s opened and scanned into system 1 thats when you get the text. It then goes into a queue for a caseworker to register it on system 2, that’s when you get sent a letter that says they’ve received on whatever date etc and if they want birth certificate or anything that’ll come in a separate letter. Once fully registered it joins the queue for DM. So the date in the letter is the received/scan date, the date that the letter is generated on the top right side of the letter is the registered date. I had birth certificate request with both of mine and the letters for both are dated the same as the registration date if that makes sense. x

I applied for my twins -

rang for forms 10/06/2026
scan date 14/07/2026
pending payment for one twin was showing in my bank 15/09/2026
pending payment for other twin is showing in my bank today 21/09/2026

letter for the first payment arrived on friday (18/09/2026) , awaiting next ones letter

we have been awarded for 2 years.

I made no phonecalls to check on status of application as based on everyones experiences it looks like most of those calls are pointless as you seem to get told different things each time you ring. The waiting is awful but if you can try to relax and just wait. phoning most likely wont change the outcome.

just to advise we sent forms, along with statement from teacher, sen support plan the school had printed out, dianosis letter and report from clinician.

I havent had a letter to say they have recieved forms but I have had a text. Why havent I had a letter?

When did you send your form? My letter took approx 4 weeks x

I rang for forms 30th june. They sent me a text to say they had recieved the forms on 4th august. I have since rang and asked if they recieved the extra evidence and she said yes she could see the other 26 pages I had sent and said it had all been scanned on the system.

Did you ask if it had been registered? Maybe that might be worth asking? As once it's registered it goes i to a queue for a DM, providing they don't need anything else x
