@BrightYellowTrain thank you, that's really helpful. There's a different provision which specifically mentions the Connexions service, which no longer exists, to help her 'clarify her thoughts about careers and/or further study. As Social Care have said she doesn't meet the eligibility criteria for assessment in terms of the EHCP I'm looking into the criteria for her to be assessed for the Independent Futures Team. Would you think this is something I could go back with on the draft report re their suggestion for the Connexions service? I fear if I just allow it as is, she'll be left with standard college careers advisors who have zero understanding of her additional support requirements and ongoing limitations to career opportunities.......we've literally just been in this situation and the emotional toll was huge.

@Runtus13 the LA will have a careers service even if it is a private service they commission and don’t publicise well. Careers advice is something that should be covered from someone with training/experience of supporting DD with SEN.

Although PfA provision, which is special educational provision and belongs in F, goes well beyond that.

Any health (including things like OT, physio, SALT, MH therapies, hydro/aqua therapy, rebound therapy…) or social care provision that educates or trains is actually deemed special educational provision and belongs in F.

Social care lied to you. You could complain about that. If you need to appeal the educational parts of the EHCP, you can appeal social care provision too. As part of this, you could seek an assessment from a independent social worker.

They've specified a sensory diet and regular sensory assessments by 'key adults' but we're still waiting for her OT Assessment to be done......I've chased it 3 times (including today on receipt of the draft plan) so I'm def going back on those Provision points.

Thanks for all your help, it's really appreciated

@Runtus13 “a sensory diet and regular sensory assessments by 'key adults'” is nowhere near good enough. DD needs proper direct input. There needs to be time allocated for things like planning, reviews, report writing, attending ARs, attending MDTs (DD is clearly going to need some MDT input), staff training… Regular needs defining, as does ‘key adults’, who is going to devise the sensory diet…
