Hi the Second thread ended because when it reaches a 1000 comments it will close I thought I would set this up so everyone can talk again

Anyone had any news, mines in a pile for a DM still apparently on the 12th Oct..

I'm going to take a break today lol. Do some wrapping, drive around and see some house lights with the kids.

Then tomorrow, I will put my battle armor on and call lol.

Aww that's nice.. my neighbour has a lovely light display, we didn't do much as we was meant to be in the canaries from next week. I dread wrapping pressies..
A manager will be calling me back at some point today so I'll keep you posted.. x enjoy your day

Saw the Christmas Coca Cola lorry!

I called this morning out of curiosity. My form was scanned onto the system on 18th October. They said they are currently working on 12th October so maybe next week. I asked if I should be realistic and its likely going to be January and the lady said yeah more then likely :)

In a call queue, feeling hopeful but I'm guessing it's going to be the same answer as I haven't had a text or anything... 😔

They are waiting for medical services still. I asked if I could speak to them and was told 'no, they don't do call backs'.

Somebody please help me 😔

@Alk19 when you got careers allowance did you need to tell them or did they automatically get updates? i don’t know if i need to tell them or not

Have you asked to speak to a case manager? I did yesterday and they called me back in 2hrs.. no further forward apart from very apologetic, will investigate the rude gentleman I spoke 2 the other day. She said they are working all weekend and upto Friday next week, so she is very hopefully ill have answers. They should be on 13/10 today. Definitely ask for a manager

@SBParker99 no it automatically updates UC once you have your backpay through carers they will take it from your UC straight away though they took £292 of my UC within a week of getting my back pay then now I have 292 a month deducted for carers and then they take £50 a month for the backpay I now owe them x

@Alk19 but carers allowance don’t even add up to 292 so why are they deducting such a high amount? it’s 268 a month roughly isn’t it?

@SBParker99 it's because it's worked out over 52 weeks then divided by 12 mines paid weekly but obviously sometimes you may get 5 weeks in a month x

@LovingLanz5 spoke to a lovely lady called Jo, well I broke down, it's at that point I just want to be heard, because on this side you don't know what is going on and you feel like your claim is just there, dormant.

She was ever so nice, I explained he has a rare disability, missing the bottom of his spine and that I've even had doctors Google it in front of me etc. And she said that is why it's stuck at medical services as they will be wanting to make the correct decision.

She did say what she can do is get in contact with her manager, discuss our situation and get advice. Whether it be chase medical services up, or getting a better understanding as to why its there.... She will be calling me back today at some point!

It just feels nice for someone to actually listen to me, and not fob me off. She was so sweet and empathic too, which help my emotional break down.

By the way, both calls got answered about 10 minutes in, so not too long at the moment, so get calling if you're able! Lol.

Okay. So, lovely lady, Jo, got hold of her manager, who advised her to approach our case manager and said that I will get a call from the case manager.

Couple of hours later, Jo calls me and updates me that our case manager can't call as she is currently working on and prioritising our claim! I guess she looked into it and saw how long we had been waiting.

Our case manager is working overtime (I did apologise, but was told she regularly does lol) and hopes to have our claim finished tonight. If not tonight, definitely Monday, as she is in all next week and is making sure our claim is done!

I think that's good news, now hoping for a positive outcome!

Decision was made this morning.

Our boy got awarded MRC and HRM!

@jneill2021 the weight off of my shoulders, the woman who picked up couldn't believe I had been waiting since Sept!

But it means we can get on the motability scheme and get a wheelchair adapted car too! I'm so happy, I could cry.

@DeludedWench its so amazing for you and to have it sorted before christmas must be a big relief, will make everything alot easier now for you getting about, yh im ok just put a mr in for mobility as my sons portage worker was shocked he didnt get it even though he got the hrc, so just another waiting game now as going out lately is so hard with his meltdowns and refusal episodes i just hope my mr is enough for them to change there mind xx

@DeludedWench im not to sure i remember doing one when my daughter was refused and it only took a couple weeks to get a reply but knowing my luck it will be the same sort of time scale lol just hoping they read it proply and really considerate how hard it is for hunter to acsess the outside world just got my fingers crossed lol xx
