I've returned to SW this week.

I lost 6 stone 3 years ago and have gained three back.
Despite my best attempts at calorie counting, fasting etc, SW is the only thing that I can stick to consistently and that works

So I am back to it, having a great week good wise and feeling very motivated
Gaining so much back has been awful and I miss how good I felt when I was slimmer

So if anyone is joining or a member maybe we could have a thread where we can share ideas, keep each other motivated and offer support ?

Still on although a very very bad week, celebrated wedding anniversary wed and DS birthday thur so indian takeaway and more wine ever this week, hardly any exercise so hardly suprising i have gained 4 pounds! Giving myself a stern talking to and will be back on plan for next week so hope at least some of that will come back off. I miss the energetic feeling iwas getting by exercising so need to get back on track, i do wish that bread and wine had never been invented though 🤐

Teddypicker · 09/04/2021 14:21

Well we’ve got lives to live as well Smile Sounds like you’ve had a lovely week!

I stopped counting syns when I got to 146 Shock. Had a 3/4lb loss which was a shock tbh.

Let’s get back on it now and get some good results next weigh-in Wink

RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard · 09/04/2021 18:57

I had my first dose of the Covid vaccine yesterday and am completely zonked today. Felt fine when I woke up, but was struggling to keep my eyes open by lunchtime. Husband told me to take a nap when he had a break between phone meetings, I meant to have 20 minutes but slept for over 2 hours. He cooked me a small portion of syn free curry which I just about managed to eat, got no appetite (that’s not a bad side effect tbh!).

Don’t think I’ll be getting my bronze body magic award next week if I feel like this over the weekend. Zzzzzzzz....

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 10/04/2021 08:23

That doeesntsound good Raider, but hey if you are sleeping you aren't eating every cloud and all that 😁
Teddy thats great, bloody unfair but great 😁 yep back on it, need a loss next week or it will all go to pot.

S111n20 · 12/04/2021 12:28

Hi ladies, hope your all ok !

Fresh start for me today been on and off sw lately. One thing after the other me been ill, kids ill, food shop, planning, laziness 😳 ect ect. I feel so much better when I’m on plan eating well and even going for a little walk. My stomach feels so bloated. On wards and upwards and all that 😂

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 12/04/2021 12:48

Fresh start for me too, lets do this 👍🏻

RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard · 12/04/2021 19:07

Good luck you guys!

Weigh in day, 4lbs off and feeling almost back to normal now. Managed a slow stroll around the park with the dog and had 3 actual meals.

S111n20 · 12/04/2021 19:10

@RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard that’s brilliant. Some fab user names on here.

RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard · 12/04/2021 22:52

@S111n20 I changed my username to this a couple of years ago when I was last trying to lose weight. Unfortunately my grandad died and I lost my motivation completely and put what I’d lost back on. I’ve now realised I need a plan to follow and support/someone to throw money at so I will stick to it.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 13/04/2021 11:53

Well done Raider, 4lbs is brilliant. Do you allow syns and HE? Are your portions quite small? Thats a good amount i only seem to manage one sometimes two

Invisiblewoman1 · 13/04/2021 12:00

@zenasfuck and all!!

Can I join?

I lost 5 stone on sw 4 years ago to do ivf. Ivf failed, marriage ended and I’ve gained it all back. I want to feel as good as I did back then! So rejoined . I’m not on Facebook so missing the support of a group

RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard · 13/04/2021 13:04

That 4lbs was a one-off Eccles, I had no appetite over the weekend thanks to the Covid vaccination. I’ll be plodding along at 1lb a week probably. I do try to have my HE’s (sometimes it’s only 2 out of 3) and have some syns every day. Trying to get out of the habit of thinking “I’ve got 5 syns left, what can I eat?” at 9pm when I’m not really hungry.

Welcome Invisiblewoman!

Teddypicker · 13/04/2021 13:27

Hey nice to see people coming back and getting back on it!

Well done @RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard, and a pound a week going forward is a good amount to be losing.

Hello @Invisiblewoman1, welcome to the thread!

I’ve been good since Friday, but the chocolate cravings are getting stronger every day Confused. Need a good loss this week or I might cave by Friday

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 15/04/2021 10:06

Hi invisablewoman. I got back on the walking this week too so im feeling a lot more positive this week than last.
Not the best way to lose then raider hope you got over the side effects, i felt a bit tired and headachey after mine but only one day thank goodness, sadly no loss of appetite 😟
Dont listen to the chocolate witch Teddy you can do this 👍🏻

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 16/04/2021 08:36

Yayyy this mornings weigh in was a big success, i have lost all but a pound of the weight i put on with my bad week so almost back to where i was, all in all a good result for a weeks blip, just need to stick with-it now. I intend to stay off the wine tonight to try to reduce my intake and also as i am up early tomorrow for a walk with DH over the moors. I doubt i can go all weekend without but might give it a try.

S111n20 · 16/04/2021 11:06

Well done that’s great 👍

mia22221 · 16/04/2021 12:36

Hey!

Hope it's okay for me to join
Just had a baby 2 months ago and really wanting to lose weight
Has anyone had any success with SWv

Teddypicker · 16/04/2021 16:37

Hey everyone Smile. Well done Eccles, great result! I managed to have a good week and lost 1 3/4lbs.

Hello mia22221, welcome! Yes lots of us have had good results on SW. I’ve been doing it for 6 weeks now and lost 12 3/4 lbs. Read through the thread and see others results Smile

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 16/04/2021 17:18

It works for me too, best bit is no counting points or calories, just good healthy food and plenty of it 😁

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 16/04/2021 17:20

Good result Teddy 👍🏻

RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard · 18/04/2021 13:28

Nice one Teddy!

I bought myself a fitness tracker watch and tried it out for the first time yesterday. A lap of the local park is approx 1000 steps, my poor dog isn’t going to know what’s hit her, lol. Forgot to take it off while I strummed a tune on my guitar and it registered about 600 extra steps, haha, oops!

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 19/04/2021 09:30

I have an app on my phone that measures the route taken on a walk, the distance and the calories used. Came home after one and it said congratulations thats your longest walk yet. 10 miles or so, wow i thought, didn't seem that long, then realised id not turned it off in the car coming back and it recorded the car journey too.... dohhhh

Teddypicker · 19/04/2021 16:12

Haha brilliant tracker incidents Grin

mia22221 · 29/04/2021 23:38

@Teddypicker hey! Thanks so much for the warm welcome 🥰
I'm exclusively bf so constantly hungry as baby is 11 weeks 😩 but on my 2nd week now, that's amazing!!! I hope that's me in 10 weeks aha

Well done you xx

RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard · 30/04/2021 19:15

Good luck mia! I’m trying to lose the baby weight too, but my youngest turned 4 in Feb... 🤦‍♀️

Brushing my hair added 120 steps on the tracker, lol. Have switched to wearing it on my left wrist and it feels weird (I’m one of those weird right-handed people who wears a watch on the right wrist).
