I've returned to SW this week.

I lost 6 stone 3 years ago and have gained three back.
Despite my best attempts at calorie counting, fasting etc, SW is the only thing that I can stick to consistently and that works

So I am back to it, having a great week good wise and feeling very motivated
Gaining so much back has been awful and I miss how good I felt when I was slimmer

So if anyone is joining or a member maybe we could have a thread where we can share ideas, keep each other motivated and offer support ?

Red thai fish curry tonight with Jasmine rice. Just done a walk which felt like an effort today, going to do some meal prep then hoover and then hog the bathroom for a nice soak, at least that will keep me out of the kitchen 😁

S111n20 · 24/03/2021 11:31

Red Thai fish curry sounds bloody lovely 😊

picklemewalnuts · 24/03/2021 13:16

Are you still an SW member? They are doing a kind of programme at the moment, doing the details of the scheme and looking at recipes, shopping etc.

I hope I've quoted correctly!
I've heard a few various rumours regarding what SW are doing going forward, do you know? Nothing in my group has been mentioned but I've heard things being mentioned in another group (through a friend) that they will be starting a 6 week trial of something soon? But they've not been told any details

picklemewalnuts · 24/03/2021 20:38

I had my first session of it today, a detailed look at the plan and booklets. She mentioned taking recipes apart and making healthy substitutions, wise shopping etc.

It was quite good- several members had missed key things, not realising the impact it could have.

RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard · 25/03/2021 07:48

Was that the unmissables thing? I saw it advertised on the site but the times don’t suit me this week.

picklemewalnuts · 25/03/2021 11:10

Probably. I only heard it trailed by the group leader. It's a sort of boot camp, I'd say. Extra emphasis on planning, logging and comparing the two.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 25/03/2021 11:25

That all sounds good, i am not a member now, just following based on what i know from last membership, the magazines and online stuff. I expect there are some things i am getting wrong but so far its working for me when i am using my knowledge common sense and willpower.

picklemewalnuts · 25/03/2021 13:06

Yes, I think it's probably a good refresher for those that need it.

picklemewalnuts · 27/03/2021 15:16

How are you all doing?

I'm disappointed to find Forrero Rocher are 4 syns each!

I made a pudding yesterday, like a strawberry mousse/cheesecake, with cottage cheese and sugar free jelly. I'll do it again, but a smaller amount in cups, as a full six servings is more than I want, and my men would prefer proper fattening puddings Grin

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 29/03/2021 15:22

That sounds interesting, i am grumpy as this week, i stayed the same on friday weigh in despite walking 4 days in a row. I have stuck to the food really well but its the flipping wine, not like a weekend without it but i cant just do one glass....
really will have to cut back if i want to lose some more.

picklemewalnuts · 31/03/2021 07:58

That's a shame Eccles. I long ago decided calories were too precious to be drunk. It's the chocolate and crisp calories I miss!

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 31/03/2021 08:44

I need to tell myself this 😁 DH reminded me that every other time (and there have been many) that i lose weight after a few weeks i get a stay same or small gain for no apparent reason and that every time if i stick with it i go back to losing again, it helped as its easy to lose motivation and let things creep back in but i am staying strong. Fingers crossed for a loss this friday 🤞🏻

Teddypicker · 04/04/2021 11:34

This thread’s gone quiet, I’ve only just found it! How’s everyone doing? Lots of good results being logged hereSmile

My story so far: 4 weeks in now. Started at 13st 6 1/2 (heaviest ever weight). I’m 5’6” so only average height. Week 1 lost 4lbs, week 2 lost 3 3/4lbs, (first mini target to get under 13st achieved). Week 3 lost big fat Zero even though fully on plan Shock. Last week (Friday weigh in day) lost 2 1/2lbs. So now I’m at 12st 10 1/4lbs. My next mini target is to get to 12st 7lbs.

Does anyone else set themselves mini targets? For me the end goal sometimes seems so far away, need to pat myself on the back for small achievements.

So it’s Easter Sunday and there’s a chocolate egg with my name on it! Hope to make it last a few days (but realistically will gorge on it). Easter egg choccy is soo much nicer than ordinary.

Having roast chicken dinner but with mash not roasties. What’s everyone having for dinner?

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 04/04/2021 12:12

Hi Teddy, i managed a pound loss on friday even after a weekend of drinking! Sticking to plan still apart from the wine, dinner tonight will likely be a salad as only me and DH in for it so easy meal. My first target is getting to 12 stone, started at 14.3, currently 12.9 so a few weeks to first target. Ideally id like to get to 11 or 10.7 if i can.

Teddypicker · 04/04/2021 12:42

Congrats on the loss Eccles, especially with the drinking. It’s funny how it works like that sometimes. I stuck to plan religiously the other week and lost nothing at all, week after accidentally drank a few vodkas Blush and ended losing.

Love your meal planning activities, you’ve inspired me to get cracking with one. Love being organised and knowing what meals to have in advance. Also writing everything, and honestly everything, down helps me to keep on track.

Happy Easter everyone Easter Grin !

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 04/04/2021 12:51

I do the tracking too, really helps and i am always brutally honest, even on the one day i had a bit of a binge, just a bowl of cereal and extra rye cakes outside of HE but still a bit more than i should partake 😁 i reckon its the planning that keeps me going to be honest, if i didnt i would probably sneak in a few random unhealthy meals 😳 determined to get to target this time

RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard · 04/04/2021 16:27

It’s my 3rd weigh day tomorrow, lost 3lbs week 1 and 1lb week 2. I think I’ve had a good week and I haven’t even sniffed an Easter egg, but it’s my eldest son’s 8th birthday today and a slice of his cake is calling me.

Teddypicker · 04/04/2021 17:42

Well done Raider, good luck for weigh-in tomorrow and Happy Birthday to your DS! Enjoy the Cake

Teddypicker · 05/04/2021 09:06

Morning all! How’s everyone doing?

I’ve had 3 not so good days, only one walk and water drinking levels right down. Not expecting a good result this Friday weigh in, but got 4 days to try and prevent it being a gain.

Making breakfast muffins- love these as they save A’s and B’s for later in the day!

RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard · 05/04/2021 09:19

Lost 2lbs, happy with that. Husband got up at 7am with the 4 yr old and I’ve had a cheeky lie in, happy with that too!

Had a really nice day yesterday, the sun was shining, kids enjoyed an Easter egg hunt and lunch in the garden, the birthday presents were all appreciated and tried out. Probably back to the usual arguments and fighting today, but yesterday was nice.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 05/04/2021 09:42

Well I've avoided any easter treats snacked a bit yesterday but only on allowed food but more than i usually would so not expecting a loss this week especially as its wedding anniversary and DS birthday this week too.
Two pounds is great Raider! I would be happy with that.
Teddy.... tomorrow is another day, lets get back on track enjoy the muffins 👍🏻

Teddypicker · 05/04/2021 14:42

That’s a great result Raider Grin. Sounds like you had a fantastic day all round!

Eccles, if you’ve been snacking on free food you should be ok? I’m always surprised by the quantity we can eat on plan and still lose. The muffins are the SW egg muffins, bit of ham and Parmesan cheese. They’re handy for taking to work too!

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 05/04/2021 15:18

I think i need to add that recipe to my stash Teddy, fingers crossed for a result next friday.

Teddypicker · 08/04/2021 19:03

So weigh in tomorrow morning for me, not too hopeful although I kept it to only one Easter egg Smile

Is everyone else having a break from SW?
