I've returned to SW this week.

I lost 6 stone 3 years ago and have gained three back.
Despite my best attempts at calorie counting, fasting etc, SW is the only thing that I can stick to consistently and that works

So I am back to it, having a great week good wise and feeling very motivated
Gaining so much back has been awful and I miss how good I felt when I was slimmer

So if anyone is joining or a member maybe we could have a thread where we can share ideas, keep each other motivated and offer support ?

Hi everyone can I join?

Feel like I need as much help and kicks up the behind as possible!

I've been a member of SW for a while and the only reason I'm still hanging on in there is my fabulous consultant. She's so motivating and caring but this lockdown has done nothing for my weight loss!!

Time to put away the excuses though, I'm TTC and really really need to lose some weight (quite a lot Blush). Food shop ordered and will be here Sunday. Planning is key for me and I spent ages yesterday going through recipes deciding on some really yummy meals I will actually want to eat next week. Smile

I'm the heaviest I've ever been at the moment and feel shocking for it. I'm looking forward to resetting (again) and getting back into it as I know the plan really works when I stick to it!! X

S111n20 · 12/02/2021 14:30

@wildthingsinthenight that’s brilliant.

@pixiedust21 Welcome ! I’m also the heaviest I’ve even been so I know the feeling.

S111n20 · 12/02/2021 14:31

Sorry posted to soon. Least we are making changes and doing something about it.

S111n20 · 12/02/2021 14:32

What everyone having for tea ? Apart from superstar84 enjoy your takeaway 😉

wildthingsinthenight · 12/02/2021 20:13

Everyone had KFC here so I had a KFC rice box which is 10.5 syns

S111n20 · 12/02/2021 21:31

That’s good to know. I had 28g mayflower curry sauce which is 4 syns with chicken, mushrooms, onions, peas and noodles.

Uninspiredusername · 14/02/2021 11:27

Hi everyone I’d love to join this.
Lost my baby weight on SW a few years ago. Hit target but went off course and now I’m back where I started Sad no thanks to lockdown etc of course.

I’m ok for dinners and lunches but breakfasts and snacks I don’t have much inspiration... and - classic- I eat because I’m bored, lonely, nothing else to do...

I’m 12st 12lb and a size 16.

wildthingsinthenight · 14/02/2021 17:14

S111n20 I love that mayflower sauce. I have it with quorn nuggets, salad and SW chips. Yum.
Not veggie but quorn nuggets are lower in syns. 1 syn each

S111n20 · 14/02/2021 17:17

It’s the closest thing I’ve ever tried to Chinese takeaway curry.

Hello!
I know what you mean about breakfast. I often have cereal but then would like my healthy b later in the day so I've started to make an egg wrap. Basically using an omelette as a wrap. I put Lynda McCartney red onion and rosemary sausages inside it (syn free) and grilled mushrooms and onions. Sonetimes a hash brown too which are 2 syns each. Lovely and filling and you can still have bread/ pitta at lunch.
Also I have started using Lo dough wraps at 2 syns each. Strange texture but you soon get used to them. And great as a pizza base too. I made a barbeque chicken pizza with one the other week. Was lovely

zenasfuck · 14/02/2021 19:34

How's everyone getting on ?
Another 3.5 off for me this week - not sure how as I had a Chinese and a KFC 🙄

I'm down 9 pounds in 2 weeks and I'm pleased with that - I can't see where they've gone yet which disheartens me but I saw my parents today who don't know I'm doing SW and both commented that I looked like I'd lost weight so that was really encouraging

Hope everyone is ok

I just finished day 5! I’ve been sticking to it religiously apart from today when I had some Valentine’s chocolates (who can resist a Hotel Chocolat H Box with heart shaped chocolates, not I) but I’ll be back on tomorrow and weighing in myself mid-week.

I have about a stone to lose Wink

superstar84 · 15/02/2021 07:38

I didn't lose anything this week, starting to get a bit fed up now as it's been 2 weeks and I'm 0.6 of a lb down

wildthingsinthenight · 15/02/2021 13:33

Sorry you're fed up superstar84 Flowers
Do you want to post what you eat in a day on here in case anyone can help?

S111n20 · 15/02/2021 15:38

I ended up having a valentines Chinese last night 😳 so back on it today. WW wrap with bacon, lettuce and tomato then toasted slightly in the pan.....was sooo good. Muller light yogurt..not sure if that’s 0.5 syn or 1. Homemade chips, steak and salad for tea.

MadeOfStarStuff · 15/02/2021 19:09

Hello! Hope it’s ok for me to join you!

I’ve been doing SW for 2 weeks now and lost a total of 10lbs (I have LOT more to lose). I was happy to lose at all this week because I had a rubbish few days at the end of last week. My meals were all ok but I stuffed my face with junk Sad but not gonna buy any more junk for a while, even low syn junk because I clearly can’t resist it and it’s only low syn if you eat a normal portion.

Evening snacking is definitely my weak point! And emotional eating. But I’m proud of myself for getting back on the wagon and keeping going rather than just giving up altogether.

twoticksvix · 15/02/2021 19:18

Please can I join too?? I'm 5 weeks in and 11lbs off so far. Not too shabby and feeling quite pleased but 2 more stone to go. I'm a bit of a bugger for getting on the scales every day, which is absolutely pointless. Does anyone else do this and should I get DH to hide them in between weigh ins??

S111n20 · 15/02/2021 19:26

@MadeOfStarStuff

@twoticksvix

Amazing weight loss for you both twoticksvix I’m also really bad for this and my weight changes so much so I never know where I’m at really If that makes sense. When does everyone weigh there self in the morning or evening ?

wildthingsinthenight · 15/02/2021 19:42

In the morning after a wee 😊 On a Friday.
I do sometimes have a sneaky look on a Weds too

S111n20 · 15/02/2021 19:54

Ok so I’m not going to weigh my self until next Monday morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

ItsTheDramaMickILoveIt · 16/02/2021 07:52

5lb off this week! I was artificially heavier when I weighed myself last week as I was due on my period, which has since been and gone. So I’ve lost maybe 3lb of that and 2lb of ‘real’ weight

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 16/02/2021 10:55

I started on my own, I'm in week 6 and had lost 12lb but last week i over did the wine and had a couple of days of weakness so put on a pound. I have restarted with renewed willpower this week. I went through all my old sw recipe books and magazines and cut out any recipes and tips i liked then stuck them in a big notebook and folder on my kitchen shelf, i went through and picked meals for a week wrote down what we were having each day and what page in the book they were on then stapled a second bit of paper to the list and wrote on everything i would need to make the weeks dinner, did this for 6 weeks worth and stuck on the kitchen board. It makes it easy to plan and shop and i can mix and match if i dont fancy one of the allocated meals as i know the fridge / freezer has what i need, also makes it easy for DH or DS to follow a recipe when i am not cooking. I can keep them and filter out any meals we were not so keen on and end up with weeks worth of meal plans and shopping lists. Saves me from overfilling the freezer with ‘just in case food’ They are delighted that we are having something different every night, most have been syn free and very tasty, lots of new herbs and spices, lots of different veg and salad stuff, stir frys, rice, noodles, meat and veggie dishes too we are really enjoying it. If only i could give up wine and stop my bread and marmite cravings id be skinny in no time 😀
I have 2 1/2 stone still to lose and possibly a bit more if i can make it to first target, wish it didn't take so long even though i know a pound or two a week is a good loss i still get a pang of disappointment that i haven't. Lost more when i do my weekly step on the scales.

Alargeoneplease · 16/02/2021 13:08

Room for another one ladies?
I joined SW in October 2019 and lost nearly 2.5 stone before the first lockdown. Found it so tricky to motivate myself and have put all but a stone back on...
But... I’m back on it and never been more motivated.
Had a cooked breakfast first thing with Red onion and rosemary sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes and baked beans
Lunch is a heck chicken burger, with spicy rice from PON book and a huge salad.
Dinner will be beef curry with rice and sugar snap peas.
Saving my HEa for 2 Aldi benefit bars later 😊

wildthingsinthenight · 17/02/2021 09:09

Alargeoneplease sounds like a great day of food.
I'm hoping to at least have lost a pound on Friday so that I have my stone.
I meant to weigh myself first thing just to see what the scales are saying but forgot.
I'll check in the morning.

My food plan today is all bran golden crunch with raspberries blackberries and blueberries.
Lunch will be a chicken breast and mushrooms fried in frilight with some sort of sauce and a big salad. And dinner is leftover chilli, vegetables and sweet potato mash. Not sure about snacks yet

Alargeoneplease · 17/02/2021 13:45

It was and I felt totally satisfied...

Fingers crossed for your lb and stone award 🤞

Sounds a yummy day of food too.
I had a bacon and egg sandwich for breakfast with mushrooms
Lunch is left over beef curry with rice and broccoli
And dinner is chicken shaslick from new PON book with potato wedges and the pepper/onion side.
