I've returned to SW this week.

I lost 6 stone 3 years ago and have gained three back.
Despite my best attempts at calorie counting, fasting etc, SW is the only thing that I can stick to consistently and that works

So I am back to it, having a great week good wise and feeling very motivated
Gaining so much back has been awful and I miss how good I felt when I was slimmer

So if anyone is joining or a member maybe we could have a thread where we can share ideas, keep each other motivated and offer support ?

Well so much for my fresh start with SW... just found out this week that I am pregnant, it's still early only about 5/6 weeks.

I do need to lose weight (and actually I've lost 3lb this week as have been off my food and just haven't snacked on crap!) so I wonder if it's still safe for me to still follow SW for the next few weeks?

I didn't expect to get pregnant so quickly and had planned on losing some weight beforehand but here we are.

MadeOfStarStuff · 18/02/2021 08:58

Congratulations @pixiedust21

I’m not sure about following SW in pregnancy, I have a feeling they don’t allow it but definitely check on their website or with your consultant if you have a group

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 18/02/2021 09:49

Yes sw will work with you during pregnancy as long as midwife agrees

Alargeoneplease · 18/02/2021 09:59

Congrats @pixiedust21... lovely news 😊
How are you feeling?
You can follow SW when pregnant. Talk to your midwife/SW consultant and they will give you the info xx

S111n20 · 18/02/2021 11:32

Congratulations @pixiedust21

pixiedust21 · 18/02/2021 20:59

Thanks all I will check with midwife :)

To be honest I have been a bit off my food and what I have had has been healthy (literally haven't wanted any snacks or anything) so my focus is just going to be on eating well and keeping fluids up I think :)

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 19/02/2021 07:56

Sounds like a sensible approach pixiedust, you can always rejoin after baby arrives if you feel you have weightto lose, keep up the good habits andcongratulations 😀

Alargeoneplease · 19/02/2021 09:01

I think the SW approach when pregnant isn’t about losing any weight but being healthy so sounds like that’s what you’ve been doing 😊

wildthingsinthenight · 19/02/2021 12:10

pixiedust congratulations xxx

Weigh day for me today and I've lost 1 pound so that means I have lost 1 stone since 4th Jan. Happy with that.
I have been 100% on plan this week but pretty fed up of it! Bored of my food and of constantly thinking about syns etc.
Plodding on though! Wink

Uninspiredusername · 22/02/2021 18:37

Hi guys,
First week completed and I lost 2lb which I’m happy about because I had a Chinese takeaway the other night Blush
Trying to be realistic about my eating habits and not restrict myself too much, otherwise I’ll just binge like I did last time I hit target.

However the reduction of snacking, especially nighttime, makes me realise how much I ate for other reasons than hunger. Loneliness, boredom, all sorts...

zenasfuck · 22/02/2021 18:42

I fell off the wagon big time. Have been really unwell and just lived off snacks and takeaways for the past two weeks and I have pretty much gained everything I lost

I am back on the SW plan from today though so what's everyone eating this week ?
I'm having
Today - chicken and leek risotto
Tuesday - creamy garlic chicken
Wednesday homemade burgers
Thursday - chicken baked spaghetti
Friday - chicken saag
Saturday - fakeaway Chinese chow mein and salt and pepper chicken

Fingers crossed for a good week 🤞🏼

Welcome back, this week is
Mon - veggy meatballs and spaghetti
Tue - sweet and sour salmon with noodles and stir fry veg
Wed - kung pao chicken
Thur - homity pie
Fri - caribbean fish stew
Sat - egg curry
I am in week 7 now and my first stone has gone yayy! Only two and a half to go < sigh>

Lillypup · 23/02/2021 08:21

Well done everyone!

Starting today. Hope to do as well as you lot have done

Lillypup · 23/02/2021 15:52

So today was:
2 weetabix with almond milk and a banana
Batchelors pasta and sauce macaroni with 2 quorn fillets chopped in with veg
2 mini cream eggs Blush

Helps to write it down. I need to lose at least 3 stone Blush

Alargeoneplease · 23/02/2021 17:28

@zenasfuck... hope you’re feeling better? Don’t worry, just draw a line under it! You’ve been poorly so better you ate something!

Tonight is meatballs and spaghetti
Weds - homemade burger and chips
Thurs - pizza pasta
Fri - steak and jacket potato

Not got as far as the weekend yet...

zenasfuck · 23/02/2021 18:24

I am now thank you @Alargeoneplease 💐

Been very unwell for a fortnight so glad to just be feeling better. What's two weeks eh ? Can lost those pounds again I'm sure

Hi everyone, only just back on it properly today after being on and off like a yo-yo!!
Today's meals:
Breakfast 2 boiled eggs
Lunch ham salad
Snacks: hula pufts
Banana/ strawberries
Evening meal home made burgers, salad cheese as my HEA.

Tomorrow will be
Weetabix
Jacket potato with tuna and salad
Chilli and rice
Not got much further than that but I have tons of meat and veg so it'll be roasts I think

About 2 and half stone to lose.

xx

D345 · 23/02/2021 22:17

Hi ladies am I okay to join in ? I'm starting back on sw I have been on and off for years I always make my main meals sw way but the snacking gets way out of control I have put 2 stone on in the last 12 months I really need to get motivated and dont really want to go to group again as I dont find them helpful really i would like to get the 2 stone off buy june do yous think this is possible as I'll be attending a wedding with my partner and I feel like the barbie meme comming out of lockdown with all the chins 🤦🏼‍♀️ my current weight is 13st 5 at 5ft 7 so feeling the pinch and seeing bulge in my clothes 🤷🏼‍♀️

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 24/02/2021 08:47

You can certainly make a good inroad to a two stone loss by June if you work with the programme, a one to two pound loss is recommended every week, if you lose more then its less likely to be sustainable, having said that there might be weeks where you lose more and others less so don't get disheartened if you don't, the main aim should be getting healthier and feeling better, the weight loss will come but it has to be sustainable. Good luck

Moonshine89 · 24/02/2021 13:50

Hi all - is there room for another newbie?! Have done slimming world before but never stuck at it long enough although I do like the plan.
Was at my doctor yesterday and my cholesterol is too high. We agreed that I need to lose 3 stone to be in a healthier place. Hoping to TTC at the end of the year and I want to be as healthy as I can be for that!

Going to join online today so that I have access to the app and most up to date info. My local group is doing online zoom sessions but I wouldn't be a fan of them so will stick to online for nowSmile

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 25/02/2021 07:21

Hi moonshine 😁
Yesterday i planned out meals for the next two weeks and did an online shop for everything i will need, cooking tasty meals has become my hobby i think, tried a pair of jeans on that i bought a year ago that never fit.... they fit yayyy so the loss on the scales is not an illusion. Im going to get DH to get the bags of clothes from the loft that went up there when i couldnt fit into them, i might find a whole newwardrobe 😁

Well done, especially about the jeans! I have so many clothes I kept 'just in case' I ever got back into them so 🙏
StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 25/02/2021 09:09

You will 👍🏻 Once you find the willpower it becomes easier and especially when you start to feel the benefits however small. I keep a pair of favourite trousers that have barely been worn folded in the bottom of my wardrobe, they were with the jeans but are a fair bit smaller, they are my next target 🤞🏻

Alargeoneplease · 25/02/2021 11:12

Hi @Moonshine89 and @D345...
You can definitely make a really dent in a 2 stone loss by June. My consultants shared a photo the other day - I’ll try and attach it - that showed possible weight losses you could have by the potential end of lockdown...
@Moonshine89 I like the app too. Find myself more accountable when I’ve logged all my food!

mumboss1984 · 27/02/2021 22:39

Me please! I started back on January 1st and have lost 1 stone so far.
