I've returned to SW this week.

I lost 6 stone 3 years ago and have gained three back.
Despite my best attempts at calorie counting, fasting etc, SW is the only thing that I can stick to consistently and that works

So I am back to it, having a great week good wise and feeling very motivated
Gaining so much back has been awful and I miss how good I felt when I was slimmer

So if anyone is joining or a member maybe we could have a thread where we can share ideas, keep each other motivated and offer support ?

I've lost 0.5lb, bit disappointed if I'm honest but I was off plan on Saturday

Will start this week fresh and see what I can do

Going to make some soup this morning to save the syns on buying the fresh ones

S111n20 · 08/02/2021 14:03

I had this morning....

Healthy B (2slices)
Bacon with the fat removed
Tinned tomatoes
Eggs
Mushroom

It was delicious. What’s everyone’s thoughts for dinner ?

zenasfuck · 08/02/2021 20:22

I had a massive Chinese so don't listen to me 😂
In my defence I am extremely unwell post covid vaccine and just couldn't be arsed

I had chicken breast cooked in Nando's marinade with a massive salad and some cous cous

Not really what I wanted but I needed to have a low syn meal with loads of speed

Tomorrow I'm going to have shredded wheat honey nut for breakfast and get the soup maker out for some leek, potato and celery soup for lunch

Dinner depends on the dates when Asda arrives but going to plan it will be sw quarter pounders, brown roll and some homemade wedges

wildthingsinthenight · 08/02/2021 23:18

Hello can I please join you?
I started SW on 4th Jan ( the day after my birthday Grin)
I've lost 10 pounds so far. Enjoying it and feel so much better just getting a bit bored with my meals now and want to change it up a bit. Hope to gain and give support, tips and meal ideas.
I had the morrison's melt in the middle fish cakes for tea tonight and they are amazing for 2 syns each!

wildthingsinthenight · 08/02/2021 23:24

Forgot to say I've done SW before and had success with it so I know the basics. I havent joined this time just bought a set of the new books from Ebay.
I have the first PON book and the Chubby Cubs book and they are lovely but I struggle a bit with how to syn the recipes.
Sorry you feel poorly zen Hope you improve soon!
A Chinese sounds just what you needed

wildthingsinthenight · 08/02/2021 23:30

People who enjoyed the PON creamy garlic chicken..what did you syn it as? Just looked and it looks really nice.

Today I had porridge, fruit and syn free syrup for breakfast. Lunch was leftover tomato pasta with salad. Tea was the fishcakes I mentioned with roast veg and rice.
I had a hi fi bar in the evening

superstar84 · 09/02/2021 07:58

I think I make try that creamy garlic chicken too, would be nice with some pasta and a side salad

We've got our food shop coming this afternoon, full of healthy things although there are 2 fresh pizzas that I need to avoid!

I want to get in the habit of planning ahead. We tend to have a Tesco delivery on a Saturday then I meal plan on a Sunday which makes absolutely no sense as then I'm limited to what I've already ordered

superstar84 · 09/02/2021 11:17

With the pinch of nom creamy chicken, how many syns are you using for the 175g cream cheese?

I can't see it listed as an A

superstar84 · 09/02/2021 11:18

Here's the list

S111n20 · 10/02/2021 04:18

I’m not 100% sure but I saw a TikTok video and a lady used Philadelphia lightest 7 syns.

wildthingsinthenight · 10/02/2021 13:22

Half a tube of Primula light is a Healthy extra A. That might work? And keep it low syn
I had museliand fruit this morning. Didn't fill me at all Hmm
Just had prawns, cheese and salad for lunch. Planning a pork bolognaise later with veg.

What's everyone else eating today?

S111n20 · 10/02/2021 14:50

I’ve had toast (healthy b) with light spread.

Leftover chicken tikka masala bulked out with lots of onions and peppers. (Using slimming world masala sauce from Iceland)

Later I’m having chicken, mash and veg with syn free gravy homemade.

I did a homemade gravy following a recipe last week and wasn’t keen on it so this week I’ve done my own using 400ml boiling water 3 oxo cubes and 2 onions. Left to boil then blitzed and added pepper. Must admin it’s a success.

FloatsYaBoat · 10/02/2021 15:44

Can I join? I've packed on most of a stone in the last year. I've done WW in the past so SW seems a bit more complicated with the free food/healthy extras/syns....still getting to grips with it but everyone I know that's done it has had excellent results

wildthingsinthenight · 10/02/2021 19:55

S111n20 what's the SW masala sauce like?

wildthingsinthenight · 10/02/2021 19:56

Welcome Floats!

S111n20 · 10/02/2021 20:00

@wildthingsinthenight it a little watery but definitely worth a try. Quick and easy to add chicken and whatever else you want to chuck in.

wildthingsinthenight · 10/02/2021 20:51

Great I might get some then!

superstar84 · 11/02/2021 09:19

I've had shredded wheat for breakfast, popped the stuff in the soup maker for lunch and going to make chilli with rice for dinner tonight

Is anyone making anything special for Valentine's?! We're just going to have sausages, mash and veg!

S111n20 · 11/02/2021 10:00

I might do steak for Valentines. I watched a video on sw peppercorn sauce which looked lush.
Red onion, some mushrooms, garlic, 100ml beef stock and 2 table spoon of Philadelphia Lightest then add pepper to your taste.

S111n20 · 11/02/2021 10:07

The Schwartz packet peppercorn sauce 4 syns (from what I can find on the Internet) do you have to syn it at 4 syns and also use your healthy A for the milk ? Just incase I’m been lazy 😳

wildthingsinthenight · 11/02/2021 14:50

I had chocolate qeetabix snd fruit for breakfast as my healthy B. Yum it's lovely.
Lunch I had a big salad with salmon and pickles.
Going to have an Aldi Slimwell meal for tea with lots of veg.
Must admit I am getting heartily sick of salad/speed food!
Weigh day tmw and I tend to eat a bit less speedy and a bit more carby on weigh dayGrin
What I really want is an almond croissant...

For Valentines Day DH wants to have a big roast delivered..there is a great place near us. Tricky to syn it though. Might just have lots of lean meat and veg and only a couple of other bits. If I eat low syn for my other meals I should be ok

wildthingsinthenight · 11/02/2021 14:50

Sorry typos

wildthingsinthenight · 12/02/2021 12:54

Weigh day today and I've lost 3 pounds this week. That's 13 pounds since 4th Jan.
Really pleased with that

superstar84 · 12/02/2021 13:04

That's brilliant well done!

I'm off plan tonight, had my COVID vaccine today so going to have a takeaway in celebration 🥳
