I've returned to SW this week.

I lost 6 stone 3 years ago and have gained three back.
Despite my best attempts at calorie counting, fasting etc, SW is the only thing that I can stick to consistently and that works

So I am back to it, having a great week good wise and feeling very motivated
Gaining so much back has been awful and I miss how good I felt when I was slimmer

So if anyone is joining or a member maybe we could have a thread where we can share ideas, keep each other motivated and offer support ?

Well done S111 I have upped my exercise this week and feel a bit better for it, just walking but more than i was doing, i am very lazy and only really did a pilates class weekly and the occasional walk with DH who goes out daily and puts me to shame. I am hoping the scales tomorrow are good news as i actually feel i have lost. Fingers crossed.
Pickledwalnuts, breakfast for me in a bowl of frozen fruit and natural yoghurt, i gave up on mullers when they syned them! I think three meals a day works for me, never got on with the whole fasting trend, it just makes me obsess about food, same with points and calorie counting which is why the SW method seems to suit me best.

picklemewalnuts · 18/03/2021 11:40

I don't get up that early, or get very busy first thing, so breakfast hasn't ever been that important. It certainly was when I walked the dog and got the kids to school by 8.30. These days life is a bit slower paced, so I thought I'd give it a try. We'll see what happens!

S111n20 · 18/03/2021 12:46

Thank you! In all fairness I probably gained it back last night. Enjoyed a few drinks for Patrick’s day 😂.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 18/03/2021 13:50

Ha ☘️ A quick walk will get rid of it, and any hangover 😉 ah well as they say “ tomorrow is another day “

S111n20 · 18/03/2021 15:17

😂 finding it so hard to stick to plan today but staying strong.

Looking forward to a big spag Bol later with cheese on (healthy A) 🤤

picklemewalnuts · 18/03/2021 18:06

Yum! I had a bowl of chilli.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 19/03/2021 11:14

I made chipotle salmon and stir fried salmon twas delish.
3 pounds lost this week so the extra walking is paying off !

picklemewalnuts · 19/03/2021 11:57

Well done, Eccles!

S111n20 · 19/03/2021 12:00

That’s brilliant @StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes.

I’ve had egg and beans on toast. No idea for the rest of the day, need to go get a food shop in. 😥

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 19/03/2021 12:05

Planning is my key to any success otherwise i slip into bad habits, DH and DS laugh at me and joke that ‘ the catering manager has meals planned until next xmas ‘ 😀 not quite true but i do have a two week plan on the kitchen notice board so i can add to my food shop for delivery, that way i know i have what i need for every meal.

S111n20 · 19/03/2021 13:23

Yes, I read that earlier on in the thread. Such a good idea. I’m doing a meal plan now as
I am determined this time to stick at it and shift this weight. 🙂

LadyLazarus20 · 19/03/2021 13:31

Hello, can I join you all?

I've just registered for SW online. This is my first time using SW. Although I do have some weight I want to lose - around 2 stone - I really just want to be and eat more healthily. I'm really struggling with GERD and IBS and so I am hoping that following this way of eating will reduce my symptoms.

S111n20 · 19/03/2021 18:36

Welcome @LadyLazarus20

picklemewalnuts · 19/03/2021 21:48

Hello Lady.

I'm weighing tomorrow, amd feeling quite optimistic! Only problem is, flipping constipation! I think it's cutting out the diet drinks.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 20/03/2021 08:21

Welcome lady, i have never eaten so much fruit and veg 😁 so eating healthier is definitely easy if you are following the plan.

Pickledwalnuts, are you replacing them with water? May help if not. good luck with weigh in.

Ps i did another friday night alcohol free.

picklemewalnuts · 20/03/2021 15:14

I am totally guzzling water. It's very frustrating. I've actually reintroduced diet fizz today, because I really need to heal! Once it's sorted, I'll cut it out again but more slowly and with fibogel in stock!

I've lost weight today, yay. We had oat pancakes with berries and bacon for breakfast. Delicious. Tonight is easy dinner night, so slimming world burgers (which are really nice) and salad.

Prunes and apricots are sinned or a healthy b, unfortunately. You can have a hell of a lot of rhubarb for your syns though, so that tends to be my go to.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 21/03/2021 16:19

Ah its a bugger then, is there a reason you are cutting out the diet drinks as they are free if under 5 calories? Well done with loss its a good feeling to see the work pay off.
I had a Prosecco binge last night and have had a weekend off the walks, tidied out bathroom cupboards, sorted wardrobes and all my stash of make up, did a pile of ironing so feel like i have barely sat down. Beef stew tonight which is sending lovely aromas from the slow cooker.

MadeOfStarStuff · 21/03/2021 19:10

I’m also trying to reduce my fizzy drink consumption even though I only have diet drinks which are free on SW. I’m replacing with sugar free squash so I suppose still having some sweetener but hopefully less and less of the fizz. I’m just doing it to try and be healthier generally because the amount of Diet Coke I drank was ridiculous, it’s also cheaper to drink squash. I’m still an avoider of plain water though Blush

picklemewalnuts · 21/03/2021 20:57

Just to reduce the nasties, Eccles- sweetener, and also the acid/carbonation is a bit dodgy, the amount I drink. I have fibromyalgia, and sweeteners etc. are best avoided.
That said, they're not as bad as the constipation and tearing have been! Blush I'll try again, when I've increased the chia seeds and everything is moving smoothly again! 😂

I'm doing well on general business and activity levels.

RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard · 21/03/2021 21:42

I joined SW online on Monday, first weigh in tomorrow. My period started yesterday so I’m not expecting a great result. Enjoying the plan though.

picklemewalnuts · 22/03/2021 06:51

That's frustrating for you Raider! Still, it will add up next week!

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 22/03/2021 07:12

Hmm yes good point about carbonation, i drink loads of fizzy water.
Good luck with the weigh in raider, as pickledwalnuts says if its not great this week it will catch up next week.

RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard · 22/03/2021 09:40

Lost 3lbs, happy with that. Need to get more organised and plan some meals in advance though.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 22/03/2021 10:04

Well done ! Thats a great start.

picklemewalnuts · 22/03/2021 11:33

Very good!
