Omg @Hartleyhare1206

Mine did the same

I had just gone to bed. Df went down for a cig and ended up in a wet flooded kitchen

Me out of bed mopping up with towels. Thank god I have old towels

Not sure why it didn’t drain and hence flooded

Seems to be working now

Oh sorry to hear that @Blondeshavemorefun ☹️☹️ Mine is still kaput. Ordered another but won’t come for ten days. Loads of washing up to add to my already too full list of daily chores. Maybe it’ll do me good. Cook less, eat less, lose 3 stone between now and the new one arriving? No? Oh ok then! 🤣🤣🤣

cherrybakewellll · 27/08/2020 08:17

Yesterday I ended on 2 syns (for condiments) so I am pretty pleased with that. I've budgeted syns each day for dessert but so far been too full to have them.

Today

B - hifi bar (hexB)
L - Pesto pasta salad (homemade pesto being basil, Parmesan and a bit of yoghurt)
D - Vegetable dhansak (syn free), boiled rice, poppadums (3)

Yesterday's lasagne

Daily menu 3 - please come and write what you eat

JingleAndTonic · 27/08/2020 14:35

Hi all!

L - more spicy lentil and cauliflower soup with a chicken and cheese pitta (HEA, HEB)

T - chilli loaded SW chips with cheese and some salsa (HEA & 1/2 syn)

S - would be some fruit but am in the office today and forgot to bring any, absolutely starving just now!!

Hartleyhare1206 · 27/08/2020 15:46

@Blondeshavemorefun me too! But apparently the BH weekend and good old Covid means deliveries are taking longer 🙄

B - overnight oats (HEB)
L - left over pasta and cheese (HEA) and a satsuma
D - cheesy Parmesan chicken and mushroom risotto (HEA)
S - satsumas, pom bear crisps (5 syns) Cadbury’s little bar (5 syns)

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/08/2020 16:09

@Hartleyhare1206 how do you make your overnight oats

I dislike using my b as like for toast so have been using
Cous cous (tweak apparently)

OP posts:
Hartleyhare1206 · 27/08/2020 16:32

I just chuck porridge oats, 0% Greek yog and a bit of sweetener in a bowl and leave in the fridge. Add fruit as I’m about to eat it - usually half a banana, strawberries and blueberries.
Did wonder about trying it with cous cous as its then technically free food....meaning I can still have bread!

MummyInTheNecropolis · 27/08/2020 19:07

B - mango and yoghurt (0.5)
L - tuna pasta salad (1.5)
D - spaghetti bolognese with cheese
S - 2 hifi bars (HEB), twister (2)

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/08/2020 19:16

Excatly. Not sure why it’s a tweak. It’s cooked the same way

OP posts:
Hartleyhare1206 · 27/08/2020 19:56

@Blondeshavemorefun it’s a weird one isn’t it?
I mean, how does plain Dry cous cous compare to plain dry oats calorie wise I wonder? Or is it that there is more fibre in oats perhaps?
To be honest I don’t find it any more filling having the oats in the yogurt than just having a whole banana in the yoghurt with the additional fruit so I generally just do that and save the bread for a meal later on, I just realised that I wasn’t using my HEB today as lunch was pasta and dinner risotto, so used the oats in my “normal” breakfast for a change.
Just done a mountain of washing up 🤬🤬 this dishwasher can’t come quick enough. Going out for lunch tomorrow and invited myself to my dads for a Sunday roast to avoid making washing up at home 😂 don’t know why I think I’m clever, it’ll have backfired when I weigh myself 🙄

JingleAndTonic · 28/08/2020 08:05

aw hope your dishwasher arrives soon @Hartleyhare1206, honestly i applaud anyone who doesn't have one because washing up is just the worst

lost 1.5lbs this week so think it was actually 1/2 off last week, meaning i've lost 1lb this week, am chuffed with that!

really needed a pick-me-up like that after the week i've had, my good news from last week was our house had sold so we could move but in the process DP decided he wanted to call it a day for us Sad think the stress has contributed to the weight loss this week - and i guess you could say i've lost 220lbs in the process lol

so i'm back living with DM while i sort myself who has been an absolute angel but she's not exactly conducive to the slimming world diet, she's trying to feed me better Grin

L - tomato soup and a cheese toastie (HEA & HEB)

T - macaroni cheese and garlic bread (HEA and probably around 10 syns)

S - chocolate, it's required! (10 syns)

Hartleyhare1206 · 28/08/2020 08:18

@JingleAndTonic
I’m so sorry to hear you’re having such a crap time. You’re doing brilliantly to even think about dieting at the moment, I think I’d just be in a chocolate coma right about now if I were you.
Sounds like your being very strong, and I’m glad DM is looking after you.
Congrats on your weight loss this week, you did brilliantly xx

JingleAndTonic · 28/08/2020 09:10

Thanks @Hartleyhare1206, I was devastated at the time but the more I think about it the more I think well screw him! At least it's a clean break since we've sold the house, can just split the proceeds and go our separate ways. I wanted to get to this weigh-in being really good then allowing myself this weekend to wallow in icecream and maybe a takeaway while watching Bridget Jones Wine

Then from Monday that's it, onwards and upwards and I'm going to be slim and buy a new house all to myself and cook all the SW meals without any moaning in the background Grin

Hartleyhare1206 · 28/08/2020 09:15

Yesssss jingle!!! That’s the spirit!!
I’ll drink to that! (I’ll just syn the wine, obvs! 🤣)

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/08/2020 11:26

Oh @JingleAndTonic. Big hugs. Must have been a hard time

Lost a lb

Eating pizza later. Will gain it next week no doubt

OP posts:
Bluesheep8 · 28/08/2020 11:32

*Hmm today

  • tea with bread and chese
  • half a medium size pizza
  • white chocolate bueno then crisp
  • now i would have tea and biscuits, feel lazy to walk to the kitchen

Yesterday, same except had cheese and onion pasty and one boiled egg for protein*

Half a pizza, chocolate and crisps?
Cheese and onion pasty?
You can seriously eat those on SW and lose weight?
I'm baffled Confused

Bluesheep8 · 28/08/2020 11:33

Bold quote fail

JingleAndTonic · 28/08/2020 15:31

thanks @Blondeshavemorefun and well done on losing!

@Bluesheep8 no if I ate that sort of menu every day I wouldn't lose any weight, I would gain but probably enjoy the food Grin but you could enjoy elements of that every day.. the main idea of SW is low fat, lots of fruit and veg but everything in moderation, so if you fancy the white choc bueno and have the "syns" to spend on it then it's fine. It doesn't work for everyone, but I've lost 3 stone this year with it.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 28/08/2020 18:38

Oops, a takeaway pizza just accidentally fell into my mouth Blush

@MummyInTheNecropolis these things happen 😁

L - bacon roll (HEB, 1/2 for broon sauce)

T - an indian, will have chicken dhansak and boiled rice (12 syns) but also i really fancy some peshwari naan so it might just find it's way into the order!

DM has also gone and bought some nice wine so will have some of that with her, it would be rude not to 🍷 we're going on a long dog walk this morning which hopefully will mitigate some of the syns.. 🤞😂

Hartleyhare1206 · 29/08/2020 11:04

@JingleAndTonic a little of what you fancy does you good!

@MummyInTheNecropolis oops!! 🍕🍕

B - bacon roll with ketchup and a latte (HEA/B) 2 syns for ketchup
L - tomato and mushroom pasta
D - home made burger with cheese (HEA) and Sw chips (8 syns for the roll) and salad and fake mayo (1syn)

S - fruit And Cadbury’s little bar (5syns)

16 syns in total. Wouldn’t usually have a bacon roll for breakkie but I’m at work. And everyone else was. And basically I’m just crap and have no willpower in these situation!

Eaten out three times this week 😬😳 chose wisely and upped my exercise, but not feeling optimistic that the scales will be kind to me tomorrow. Serves me right I guess 🤦‍♀️

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/08/2020 17:42
