@MrsAvocet happy birthday!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳 hope you’re having a fab day?
@TinkysWinky welcome, and well done on your losses so far, great work xx

I weighed in yesterday after my spectacular shit show of a binge week. Staggered to find id stayed the same?! I’ll take that!! Had been very active and walked tonnes last week so maybe that helped?

Today

L - home made veg samaosa (5 syns) home made onion and sweet potato bhajis, tomato, onion, coriander and cucumber salad with Greek yog mint sauce.

MrsAvocet · 27/07/2020 17:33

Well done jingle and thanks for the birthday wishes Hartley
I find the closer I'm getting to target the harder it is. Weight day for me tomorrow and I'm hoping for 0.5kg but that's optimistic.
Today so far
B: Nothing. I had a lie in.Blush
L - 1/2 tin of tomato soup (2) and wholemeal bread.(HEB) Raspberry skyr(0.5)
Snack - small banana and a few grapes.
Going out to eat tonight so goodness knows what I will have. We are going to our local pub that does small portions of quite a lot of meals so I am torn between a little portion of something very fattening or a big portion of something healthierConfusedThey do a fabulous steak and ale pie. And very, very good chips. But also some nice vegan options. Decisions, decisions.....

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/07/2020 23:22

Happy birthday @MrsAvocet

Sorry late. Manic day

B toast b ham egg beans

L quiche salad mayo 1

T ham pasta and veg bake cheese a

@MrsAvocet hope you had a lovely meal whatever you went for!

L - butternut squash soup (1 syn coconut milk) and a ham and cheese pitta (HEA, HEB)

T - either chilli and rice or spag bol, needs to be something i can start at lunchtime and pick up whenever as i'm getting my hair cut for the first time since the end of feb at teatime 🥳

S - more strawberries and choc shot (1/2 syn) and a pear

MrsAvocet · 28/07/2020 13:31

Well I kind of did ok last night, but not exactly deliberately. I chose lobster and prawn linguine. I've never had lobster before but I like fish generally so thought I'd like it. But I didn't, so only ate about half of it. I did have dessert though(rhubarb and apple crumble with custard) but only a half portion.
Today
B- nothing
L- beans on wholemeal toast (HEB) Strawberry skyr (2)
D- spag bol with salad
Probably some fruit as a snack later
Oh, and I lost 0.5kgGrin

Hi I've been a bit awol, life is a bit hectic here at mo... water leaks, wrecked bathroom, damaged ceilings, insurance claims and feral kidsGrin
I've had too many meals out and takeaways.
Hope you had a good birthday MrsA and well done all the losers.

Hartleyhare1206 · 29/07/2020 11:35

@Blondeshavemorefun that looks nice!

@troppibambini that sounds horrible? You must be so stressed?! Hugs xx hope you’re getting things sorted ok? X

B - Greek yog banana and blueberries
L - skinny burger (HEB) and fruit
D - tomato and mushroom risotto with Parmesan (HEA)
S - rest of HEA in coffee visiting MIL this afternoon and I know she will tempt me with cake I can’t refuse so hopefully just a tiny portion!

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/07/2020 15:11

OP posts:
JingleAndTonic · 29/07/2020 16:59

@troppibambini sounds like a few takeaways have been deserved at your house!!

L - broccoli and cauliflower soup with a ham and cheese muffin (HEA, HEB, the muffin wasn't actually wholemeal but i think for one meal it'll be fine as the cals are about the same)

T - pasta bake using leftover chilli from last night (HEA for cheese)

S - apple and pear

half way through the week - woohoo!! Wine

MrsAvocet · 30/07/2020 00:18

Sorry to hear about your problems troppibambini. We had our ceiling come down due to a leak in the bathroom about a year ago and we've only recently got everything completely back to normal so I can empathise. I don't think anyone can blame you for not wanting to cook when your house is in disarray.

I've had a bit of a weird week so far as we ate out on Monday and then have been out at sports activities with my son on Tues and Weds. Its great that things are starting again, but it does make getting meals ready a lot harder and I had to resist the temptation to call in at KFC on the way home tonight, but I did it.
So today:
B - nothing (surprise surprise...)
L - tuna, mushrooms and cheese (HEA) on wholemeal toast (HEB) with salad.

  • Sour cherry skyr (2) D - two frozen quorn burgers (2), new potatoes and peas..
  • strawberries Snack - banana Didn't do any formal exercise today but probably walked for about 30 mins round the place where DS was doing his sport as it was freezing and I needed to keep warm!
JingleAndTonic · 30/07/2020 07:54

@MrsAvocet well done on resisting KFC, it's up there as one of my favourite takeaways

L - broccoli and cauliflower soup with a cheese pitta (HEA, HEB, 1 syn for mayo)

T - birdseye lemon and dill salmon fillet (2 syns) with SW chips and peas

S - apple, pear, a few jelly grapes (1/2 syn)

have been fighting the urge to dive head first into the biscuit tin this week so really must avoid it today before weighing tomorrow!

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/07/2020 09:59

I love kfc. Sod the chicken. I love the skin

B toast b ham egg beans

L Aldi sw pepper risotto 2 salad

T spag bol. Veg cheese a

S crisps 4 bar bar 4.5

Great willpower @MrsAvocet!

B- greek yog, mango and banana
L - toast (HEB) topped with home made hummus (1 syn) red cabbage, cherry toms, spring onion, chicken breast and coriander.
D - pepper and mushroom pasta with mozzarella (HEA)
S - satsumas, some of DDs hula hoops (2 syns?) milky coffee (HEA) and a Cadbury’s little bar (5 syns)

Been a really yummy food day today, looked forward to and enjoyed all of my meals and feel satisfied.
Don’t get to say that very often 🤣🤣🤣

JingleAndTonic · 31/07/2020 08:16

happy friday!

@Hartleyhare1206 your lunch sounds amazing 🤤 might have to copy at some point!!

i lost 1.5lbs this week, woohoo, so hopefully next week i can get to my next stone as only 1.5 to go!

B - toast with peanut butter, a friday fav of mine! (heb & 4 syns)

L - tomato and red pepper soup, couple of crackers with cheese (4 syns & HEA)

T - bbq at a friends, shouldn't be too syntastic as it's all meat and i'm driving so will just have a couple of low alcohol beers

S - fruit & wotsits (4.5 syns)

have a good day everyone! it's set to be a scorcher here 🌞🥂

Hartleyhare1206 · 31/07/2020 08:40

@JingleAndTonic well done on that fab loss! You’ve done brilliantly - enjoy the sunshine and the bbq!
Lunch was yummy - looked like this and was so filling! Did cheat and use granary rather than wholemeal, it just tastes so much nicer but the calorie difference was negligible so I’m sure it’s fine:

B - Greek yog, strawberries and banana
L - left overs of last nights pasta with a sprinkle of Parmesan (half of HEA saving the other half for milk in my cuppas!)
D - tortilla wrap pizza (HEA&B) topped with tomato, spring onion, mushroom and chilli with SW chips

S - fruit; Cadbury’s little bar (5 syns) maybe a mini milk with DD as it’s definitely a paddling pool kinda day!

DD has also asked if we can make “snap and crackle nuggets” by which she means Rice Krispie chicken. I’ve agreed and suspect I’ll be sampling so will include maybe 3 syns for those.

Have a lovely day everyone and hope you enjoy the sunshine ☀️☀️☀️

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/07/2020 21:26

OP posts:
MrsAvocet · 31/07/2020 21:43

Well done on the losses everyone.
I've had a couple of dodgy days.
My DD has gone home today so last night we had her favourite waffles and ice cream and today I have been sad so I have eaten too much. Not masses too much, 19 syns, but I am slightly disappointed in myself. Its been a bit of a flaky week in general to be honest, with my birthday meal out as well. But its not the end of the world and I'd rather take a bit longer to reach target than be miserable.

Hartleyhare1206 · 31/07/2020 22:03

@Blondeshavemorefun sounds delicious 😁😁
@MrsAvocet it’s just one week. And you can’t not celebrate your birthday. You’ve had some Much deserved treats, but you won’t do it every day. I’m sure you’ll be back on it in the coming days.

My friend has just text me saying she has had takeway pizza, garlic bread, wedges, icecream and eaten the lot. She is a size 8.
I hate her 🤬🤬🤬

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/07/2020 22:24

I have friends like that @Hartleyhare1206. Hate them !!!

@MrsAvocet the same. I can’t be totally strict as enjoy life and food

Hence I seem to lose and gain the same few lbs ☺️☺️
