Bit fed up today.
No loss this week.Sad Well, 100g but that hardly counts.
Must do better next week.
I have gained my body magic Gold Award today though so that's something I suppose.

JingleAndTonic · 22/07/2020 08:25

@MrsAvocet sorry you're feeling fed up, motivation comes in waves for me so totally understand that it's disheartening when the scales don't show what you hoped for! Keep going though and you'll get there Smile

I'm lacking in motivation a bit today, the weather has turned to absolute pish and I don't know what I want to eat today and can't be bothered to think about it. So will probably be really simple things like..

L - think I might put on some soup, we have lots of frozen veg lurking in the freezer so will use some of that up, with some crackers (4 syns)

T - red pesto pasta (1.5 syns) with some veg thrown in, bit of cheese (HEA) and I'm thinking about making some garlic bread out of a gluten free roll (HEB, 1.5 syns)

S - fruit, supplies of which are dwindling again, we have one very overripe nectarine, a lime and some grapes that I was saving to make jelly grapes when my jelly crystals arrive tomorrow - might have to pinch a few and just call it a day because I can't bring myself to eat that nectarine 😂

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/07/2020 17:51

Hi guys; Not much to say here other than I’ve been BAD. VERY BAD.

I have not. Stopped. Eating!!!!

Nuff said.

Need to sort my shit out and start again tomorrow to try and do damage limitation before Sunday!

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/07/2020 21:10

Bless you @Hartleyhare1206. Are you ok

OP posts:
Hartleyhare1206 · 22/07/2020 21:26

@Blondeshavemorefun I think so! I mean, nothing especially shit has happened...I’m on my period which never helps and I know this is a cop out but I just feel a bit rough and like I don’t want proper meals just sandwich’s and bowls of cereal all the time 😂 and then I think I’ve gotten a bit silly and thought “well I’m eating crap so I may as well carry on because there’s no point trying now it’s already a write off”

So I’m scoffing DDs biscuits and some crappy sausage rolls lurking in the fridge from a picnic that I’d normally ignore cheerfully and have some strawberries. Except I did have some strawberries...but I dipped them in chocolate first 😳😳😳

I always keep an “emergency” terrys choc orange Stashed in the Back of the cupboard In the downstairs loo! Random I know but when DD has been especially annoying in the past I’ve been able to lock myself in and scoff a bit in peace 😂😂 I brought one the week before lockdown and am proud to say I haven’t touched it at all, even during all those awful long weeks stuck at home missing friends and family and trying to stay afloat working from home and being a slave to a 3 year old simultaneously...It’s been my challenge on the worst of days to leave it alone and not inhale the lot whilst hissing at photos of Boris on google images...I’m really proud that I’ve stayed strong this long. But today I feel it’s days could be numbered. Someone talk me down for goodness sake!!!

And yes; I’m aware that locking myself in the toilet to secretly scoff junk food as an emotional response to stress is mainly the reason I’m in this mess and on this thread, and I really need to tackle that as well as my giant backside! But please be gentle with me today, I’m hormonal!! 😁😁😁

MrsAvocet · 22/07/2020 21:41

Hartleyhare1206 sorry you're having a crappy day, but seriously you are a genius. Hiding your emergency chocolate orange in the downstairs loo is a brilliant idea. Sadly we don't have cupboard in ours, only shelves but I may insist on having one built for this sole purpose. I only hide sweets in the wrong food cupboards - say behind the rice - but it never seems successful!
I also love chocolate oranges. They were always a super special treat when I was a kid, so real emotional comfort food.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/07/2020 00:15

I’m impressed

  1. you haven’t eaten it

2 Hasn’t been found

OP posts:
Hartleyhare1206 · 23/07/2020 07:38

If this helps to know (and manages to elevate my levels of genius even further in your eyes) If I ever get any “nice” chocolate brought for me that I don’t want to share (you know, when you get something nice off a friend, or on your birthday etc) I hide that in the salad drawer under the lettuce and peppers etc. No one in our house would ever rummage through the fridge randomly hoping to find a decent snack and look in there...never gets found. Mind you, the TCO is hidden In a cupboard behind all the cleaning products So that probably explains why no one else finds it either 🙄🙄🙄

Oh dear, I’m taking this thread way off track aren’t I?! 😂😂😂

Thanks for not making me feel more shit about my random binge fest.
Today is a new day!

JingleAndTonic · 23/07/2020 08:36

@Hartleyhare1206 lol I hide things in the veg drawer too, sometimes it backfires though and it ends up under a cucumber or something which gets forgotten about for days (weeks) and goes soggy and risks contaminating the chocs with its cucumber juice. Obviously I have found the best thing to do in that situation is not buy cucumber Grin. At least you had the strawberries, even if they were dipped in chocolate, that's still one of your 5 a day!

I think we all have those days where it just all goes to shit and we eat the contents of the snack drawer and all the bread we can find and it's ok! A few days won't ruin all our hard work up to that point. In the past though those few days have turned into weeks, then it's "oh I'll start again on the first of the month" then something comes up and it turns into another New Years resolution! Determined not to do that this year though!! We can do it.

L - more of yesterdays soup, it turned into tomato and red pepper with random veg thrown in, was nice actually! with a ham and cheese pitta (HEA and HEB)

T - chilli and SW chips with cheese (HEA) also going to endeavour to make my own version of garlic and chive dip using yoghurt, could be a disaster Grin

S - jelly grapes (1 syn I think) and an apple

Hartleyhare1206 · 23/07/2020 15:02

Thank you for your kind and wise words.

It’s one of those weeks I’ll pretend never happened, but you’re right in that it’s just a bad few days and I don’t need to be an idiot and Undo all my efforts, I just need to be better going forward. And not buy cucumber!!!

So today:

B - greek yog, banana and berries
L - beans on toast (HEB) and strawberries and yoghurt
D - roasted veg pasta with cheese (HEA)
S - Cadbury’s little bar (5 syns) and some tortilla crisps (5syns)

I’ve told my husband to eat everything even remotely unhealthy that’s left in the house. So that I can’t! He was unsurprisingly thrilled and happy to oblige 😂😂😂

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/07/2020 18:33

Napped this am as had bad night at work so do the first time ever. No breakie

Brunch ommlette cheese a pepper ham onion sausage 2 beans

MrsAvocet · 24/07/2020 00:07

My turn to be bad today.
Well, actually I wasn't over my syns but it was just a bit of a meh day.
I had a hospital appointment this morning which DH took me to, but of course he couldn't come in. When I got back to the car he had been and bought a baguette which was still warm. The aroma was irresistible so that was 7syns gone before I had got home!
Then I had a fishfinger sandwich for lunch with my healthy B bread and 2 fish fingers(4 syns) and a pot if skyr for dessert,(0.5 syns)
For dinner we had braised beef, boiled potatoes and carrots but the meat wasn't that nice as I'd not really cooked it slowly enough - should have done it in the slow cooker. So I didn't eat much of it and was still hungry at bed time, so I've just eaten some cheese (healthy A ) on crackers (3 syns)
Oh and I had an orange as a snack mid afternoon.
So just inside my syns allowance but a bit of a crappy day really. I do usually get my 5 a day or more most days but today I only had 2. And to be honest I am not sure the carrots were really a portion.
I just can't be bothered at the moment. Normally I enjoy both cooking and eating but it all seems like too much trouble right now. I am under a lot of stress and would normally be comfort eating like crazy, so I suppose at least I am not doing that, but I've maybe gone too far the other way.
I need to look through the magazines and back at old posts on this thread for some meal inspiration as I'm stuck in a rut.

JingleAndTonic · 24/07/2020 09:59

@MrsAvocet at least you were within your syns, it could be worse! It could be like the wild day of food I'm about to commence on Wink

1lb lost for me this week which I'm delighted with, thought it was going to be a gain after last weekend! Having a treat day today and a half treat day tomorrow then will be as good as possible, I only have 3lbs to go until I've lost 3 stone and have decided I'd like to do that by the end of August. I think after that I might go for another stone and then be done, that gives me the from August to November to lose another stone before I put it back on in December Grin

B - toast with peanut butter and banana (HEB, 4 syns)

L - leftover macaroni cheese that everyone else had last night that I was drooling over [2xHEA and approx 3 syns for butter, cornflour and broon sauce)

T - a frozen Tesco meat feast stuffed crust pizza, coming in at 58 syns Blush but it needs to get gone from the freezer and it's going to be my only proper treat this weekend!

S - probably just fruit

MrsAvocet · 24/07/2020 13:11

I had a bit of a boost today. Had a hospital appointment and obviously I haven't physically seen the doctor for ages because of Covid-19. The first thing he did was compliment me on my wright loss and say how much good it will be doing me. Which was nice. I think when you see yourself every day its easy to lose sight of the overall progress.
So back on the wagon today.
B - a cup of tea with milk from HE A and a peach.
L - carrot and coriander soup (2) and wholemeal bread(HEB)

  • tinned pineapple (2) with natural skyr D - lentil loaf (free with cheese from HEA) mixed veg and new potatoes Snacks - fruit, to be decided!
Blondeshavemorefun · 24/07/2020 19:03

Well done for staying in syns

Well done on lb loss

I gained a lb. but rbh knew I would after my birthday binge last week

Hartleyhare1206 · 24/07/2020 19:44

@MrsAvocet what a lovely compliment to receive, you’ve obviously done so well 🥰
@JingleAndTonic well done on your loss both this week, and overall - that was a well timed reminder to me this is about the long game. Fab!

B - Greek yog, banana and strawberries
L - left over roast veg pasta and cheese (HEA)
D - mushroom and asparagus risotto with Parmesan (HEA)
S - skinny latte at costa with DD (3) who apparently really needed a babycino and a marshmallow “because walking is boring and zausting!” - counted this as HEA but just realised that’s 3 HEA today. But I’ve not used my HEB? How I’ve forgotten to eat bread is beyond me...but I’m going to just not have any and hope it offsets the 3 As...reasonable?
Also a great big orange (Not of the Terrys variety!) and a Cadbury’s little bar (5 syns)

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/07/2020 16:10

B toast b egg ham beans

L jacket tuna mayo 2 salad

Hi guys can I join in?
Week 6 here, over a stone off which I'm pleased about. On holidays at our caravan at the mo and can feel things starting to get a bit lax - too many glasses of wine / G&Ts!

B - banana and yoghurt
L - ham, salad and some cous cous
D - gammon, veg & leftover new potatoes from yesterday done in the air fryer with fry light
S - 2x skinny crunch (HEB), sugar free jelly (1/2 syn)
I'm a big evening snacker so will probably have some babybel & low syn crisps or crackerbread later on. Maybe a glass of wine

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/07/2020 14:12

Welcome @TinkysWinky. Fab loss

How’s much do you want to lose ?

OP posts:
MrsAvocet · 26/07/2020 14:55

Hi TinkysWinky. Well done on that impressive loss. Everyone on this thread is really lovely and supportive.
Today for me:
B- Alpen(HEB) and milk from HEA
L- Home made sweet potato and butternut squash soup (1) small piece of bread (1.5) strawberry skyr(1.5)
D - salmon and dill traybake - free.
Trying to be extra good today as its my birthday tomorrow and my grown up daughter is coming home for the first time since Christmas so I know I am going to over eat tomorrow!

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/07/2020 15:13

Afternoon all! Am back with my tail between my legs after being more naughty than planned yesterday! But I guess that's what weekends are for, I'll just keep myself lower in syns over the week!

yesterday -

L - egg mayo roll (HEB + 1syn) packet of wotsits (4.5 syns) a hi-fi bar (3 syns) and some jelly grapes

T - fajita chicken nachos, with cheese aplenty (2x HEA I suppose) BBQ sauce, garlic mayo, and used doritos for the nachos then proceeded to polish off the bag while the nachos were cooking - FFS!

S - 2 gin and slimline tonics, "never drinking again" lasted all of 7 days

today is better!

L - cheese and nduja sausage toastie (HEA, HEB, 1.5 syns)

T - burger off the bbq (4 syns) with cheese (HEA), SW chips and maybe some carrot chips (hopeful that eating a single carrot will undo all the badness..) and fried onions and tomato sauce (1/2 syn)

S - no snacks yet!
