Morning all. Just got off the phone from a fairly taxing call with my union rep but managed to resist hitting the chocolate yet.
Going out tonight to celebrate my son's birthday so saving all my syns for that. Its italian so there should hopefully be something pasta based that isn't too bad. Apart from fish and chips last weekend its the first meal I haven't cooked myself since lockdown so I am very much looking forward to it - though it feels a bit weird to be going in a restaurant! Any suggestions on what my best options would be? I'm normally a pizza person so don't usually take much notice of the pasta menu.Grin

@MrsAvocet ooh yummy! If you're being good I would have thought a pasta with a tomato based sauce couldn't be too bad, or maybe even carbonara since it's basically eggs and parmesan, could use your healthy extra A Grin tbh I would cave and go for the pizza but my willpower is a tragedy lol

my plans have changed, had 30g reduced fat cheddar in my pitta instead of the halloumi which left a bit of a HEA left so I'm currently sipping away on an iced coffee using milk for the rest of my allowance.

tea has also changed, it's a glorious day here which is quite unheard of for my corner of scotland so am now having a burger off the bbq with chips, some cheese and fried onions! calling it 4 syns on the burger since it's from the butcher and obv HEA for the cheese

morning all!

i forgot i wasn't weighing in july 😂 so i'm down 5lbs over the last 2 weeks, but i had a gain before that so really only 2lbs lost which i'm pleased with!

L - same soup as yesterday with an egg mayo roll (HEB and 1 syn)

T - chicken coated in doritos (1.5 syns) with SW chips and mayflower gravy (3.5 syns)

T - fruit and maybe a treat of some crisps seeing it's friday!

Going slow for me I'm on and off. But I'm sticking to it where I can - so that's something.

DD at her dads tonight, so just cooking me. I'm sick of salmon!

Anyone got any quick but tasty meal ideas? Nipping you're supermarket in a bit so open to all suggestions!

I eat pretty much everything.

Gone a bit off piste the last couple of days with lunch out on Friday and dinner out last night 😳 fridays lunch was very sensible but last night involved pizza, chips and the most amazing sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel sauce and clotted cream icecream 😋😋 usually weigh on a Sunday but as I knew last night would be hideous i weighed yesterday instead 😂 1/2 a pound off. I can live with that considering I haven’t been saintly.

Today looks like this:

B - costa skinny latte (HEA) and banana
L - another latte at home (HEA) plus poached eggs on toast (HEB)
D - chicken, bacon and mushroom pie topped with a sheet of filo pastry (4 syns) and tenderstem broccoli
S - fruit, Greek yog and a Cadbury’s little bar (5syns)

Feel so bloated after eating so much last night - it was very rich and stodgy and whilst All it tasted lovely my system had clearly adapted to the slimming world way and it was a shock to my system I think. Not even remotely hungry today and feel massive (my tummy looks huge!) clearly a lesson to be learned there!

god i was so bad yesterday 

for lunch i had a cheese sandwich, a chicken lunchable and a sausage roll then tea was a BBQ which was fine, i had a burger in a roll, some piri piri chicken and pasta salad all of which was ok but i then proceeded to wash it all down with several proseccos, two bottles of wine and then i finished my night by doing shots of disaronno and cointreau 

needless to say i felt like utter shit all morning so my day today looks like..

B - half a slice of toast with peanut butter (2syns ish and i guess HEB) i also had to drink some milk because i had horrific heartburn after those shots (HEA)

L - sleep

T - i really fancy an indian now i'm starting to feel more human so i'll have a chicken dhansak (10.5 syns) with plain rice and a poppadom (2 syns) and if someone else orders a nan bread and a corner of it falls onto my plate then so be it Wink

@autumnredhead sorry i'm a bit late to your question but often if i'm cooking for just me i like to do fakeaway type things, wrap pizzas, chicken pittas with piri piri sauce, egg fried rice and curry sauce, all really easy to make single portions of! a favourite of mine is also fajita chicken with chips, most of the jars of fajita seasoning are syn free and easier to do a single portion with compared to the sachets

@Hartleyhare1206 well done on your loss! your food sounds absolutely delicious, especially the sticky toffee pud - yum

I haven't dared even think about what I've eaten today as I've been out all day with family that I haven't seen all year.. Had an egg mayo sandwich for lunch, then an icecream. We ate out for dinner too. I had fish, chips and peas but I took the batter off the fish and only ate a few of the chips so I hope I've not had way too much. Blush
In my defence, we walked quite a few miles over the course of the day so I will have burned a few hundred calories extra too. I will eat a lot more fruit and veg tomorrow as I actually feel a bit yucky after not eating my usual amount of healthy stuff today. Which I guess is good as I very rarely hit 5 a day before starting SW and I do most days now.
Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

Oh no jingle hangovers are a killer I literally eat the fridge! I hope you're feeling better.
MrsA it's so nice to see family again isn't it? We our parents over for Sunday lunch yesterday it was lovely.
Sticky time at the moment with me and Mrtroppi not really sure what's going to happen but desperately trying not face plant into chocolate and wine Sad

Think I'm going to do lots of cooking today so I've got some meals prepped for when I'm not feeling motivated.

thankfully my hangover has left the building so i can get right back on it and hope for a maintain this week! hoping for a loss after all i drank would be an absolute cheek 😂

L - lentil and coconut milk soup (1 syn) and a halloumi pitta with a wee bit of nandos sauce (HEA, HEB, 1/2 syn)

T - chilli and rice

S - apple and nectarine, have also had a couple of forkfuls of leftover pasta salad from the weekend 😁

L- beans on wholemeal toast (free, healthy B) Sour cherry skyr (2)
D - not sure yet. Will be something out of the freezer with salad and new potatoes as they need eating up and it needs to be quick as I've got a Zoom meetng at 7.30
Snacks - banana, orange. (Free)
Exercise - been for a 35 minute walk.

I've been reading your diaries and I feel like I eat loads compared to some of you! For instance yesterday was:

B: 2 boiled eggs, 1 slice Kingsmill no crust, half teaspoon Lurpak lighter (1.5 syns)

S: banana, cherries

L: 2 slices kingsmill no crust (HEB with slice from earlier), thick cut ham, 40g Lighter cheese (HEA)

S: apple, pear, 2 satsumas

D: tofu marinated in Kitsap Manis (2 syns), stir fried onion, garlic and water chestnuts in spray oil (0.5 syns), with rice noodles, soy sauce, lime and coriander.

S: Milky coffee (HEA) & Alpen Light (3 syns)

Today will be:

B: 3 slices Kingsmill no crust with lemon curd (3 syns), Milky coffee (HEA)

S: banana, Fat free greek yogurt & raspberries

L: Frozen jacket potato (0.5 syns), with coleslaw (2.5 syns), grated chedder (HEA) and salad

D: 5% fat meatballs with tomato sauce (0.5 syns) oil made before and pulled out freezer) with pasta

I may have an options with marshmallows or an alpen light this evening. Or even both as I seem to be syn light today.

Hi vix that doesn't sound loads at all...
I don't tend to eat breakfast but only because I'm usually not a morning eater. Sometimes I make brunch around 11 if I'm hungry like yesterday and then I will just have some fruit or yogurt or whatever between that and dinner.
But if I'm hungry I definitely eat!!
I don't use syns for the sake of it though if I don't need them I don't use them it all calories at the end of the day I'm not going to eat a kitkat just because sw says I can.
If I need it I will if not I won't.

B- fruit and yogurt (I was hungry this morn!)
L-baked potato chilli and salad
D- chicken stir fry

Agree doesn’t sound loads

I don’t always put fruit as a snack but I eat usually an apple grapes pear eveey day
