Well done Hartleyhare that's a great loss!
I know what you mean as I am an emotional eater too. I'd largely stopped it but the last week or two have been super stressful for various reasons so I have slipped back into a couple of bad habits. But I reckon the fact that I actually recognise it now is progress in itself. I will be having a stern word with myself tomorrow as determined to start the new week on a positive note.
Hope you enjoyed your chocolate cheesecake - sounds yummy. I don't think that treats like that are the end of the world. Let's be honest, nice food is great! Nothing wrong with enjoying a treat, its just a matter of balance and making sure that we have a healthy diet most of the time.

JingleAndTonic · 13/07/2020 09:00

@MrsAvocet well done on your NSV! They are so rewarding!

@Hartleyhare1206 well done that's a big achievement! I'm an emotional eater too but I don't think a wee treat for something good can hurt Grin

I was feeling a tad delicate yesterday and ate more crisps than I should've, meals were on plan though so hopefully it hasn't made too much of a dent!

Yesterday:

B - 2 slices of danish bread toasted (6 syns) with peanut butter (4 syns)

L - bacon egg and cheese in a wholemeal muffin (HEA, HEB, 1/2 syn tomato sauce)

T - homemade burger with cheese stuffed inside, fried onions and SW chips (HEA)

S - more crisps than I care to admit

Today:

L - butternut squash soup (1 syn coconut milk) with a cheese and chive savoury roll (HEB and 1 syn for mayo)

T - fajita chicken and SW chips (HEA for cheese)

S - nectarine and some strawberries with choc shot (1/2 syn)

Hartleyhare1206 · 13/07/2020 09:25

Thank you @MrsAvocet & @JingleAndTonic
You are of course correct; and the cheesecake was bloody lovely!

Chuffed to have got that first stone off - did my first shift back at work on Saturday since lockdown started - having not had to shimmy in to my work trousers for 4 months I was crapping myself about that as al my colleagues who’d been in earlier in the week were finding after 4 months at home their uniform didn’t fit. It was a lovely feeling to find my trousers were too big! Made me feel the last two months of SW have been very worth while and helped to boost my motivation to keep pushing on with it. We are hopefully going on holiday to Cornwall mid sept so I’m hoping to get as close to another stone as possible off before then (so I can pile it all back on eating pasties and cream teas and ice creams 🤣🤣🤣🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️)

B - banana and strawberry with Greek yog and a cuppa

L - who knows - going to my friends again for lunch. Bound to be something yummy but hopefully fairly SW friendly

D - trying a new recipe tonight that I saw on the repeat of an old Nigel Slater cookery Programme - it’s for chicken with orange and lemon cous cous with a peashoot salad. It looked so yummy on TV, hoping I can do it justice!
Will report back!

S - fruit for sure; the rest will depend on how syntastic lunch ends up being.

Have a great day everyone!

@Hartleyhare1206 glad the cheesecake was yum, I fancy some now! And well done on your NSV with the trousers too!

@Blondeshavemorefun I'm sure you'll manage to get it shifted!

L - butternut squash soup (1 syn for coconut milk) with a BBQ chicken and cheese wrap (HEA, HEB and 1 syn for BBQ sauce)

T - spag bol and cheese for me too tonight (HEA)

S - pear and strawbs with choc shot (1/2 syn)

MrsAvocet · 14/07/2020 14:47

Another 400g off for me today. As I get closer to my target its definitely getting harder to lose but I guess that's to be expected. And its still pretty much a pound, so I am ok with that.
B - nothing
L - mushroom omelette with milk from Hex A plus 4 bean salad (0.5) and raspberry Skyr (0.5)
D - baked salmon, new potatoes and salad - free
Snacks - fruit, not sure what yet. We have now restored fruit supplies following the Ferrero Rocher incident! ( Why do men do that?!)
Exercise- just off for a walk now.
Hope everyone is keeping well and having a good week. I am having a rough time for reasons that I can't go into for legal reasons. But I am proud that I haven't run to chocolate and cake which would previously have been my go to crutches in stressful times, so that's a positive.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/07/2020 16:02

Sorry having rough time @MrsAvocet. Hope improves

I just made it up, I would say it serves six so I would say maybe 1.5 syns a portion.

A pack of chicken breasts (I used 4 breasts)
A leek
Four bacon medallions
Mushrooms
Chicken stock
Four teaspoons of cornflour ( 4 syns)
Half a small glass white wine (3? Syns)
Spray oil (1.5)
Garlic
Thyme
Mash

Brown chicken in frying pan with garlic and leek, put in a big sauce pan when done.
Brown bacon and mushrooms add to sauce pan.
Wine in frying pan to deglaze for 30 seconds add wine to saucepan
Just cover with chicken stock
Mix cornflour with a bit of water in a cup and add to sauce pan few sprigs of thyme
Cook for about an hour
Add mash then put in the oven till top goes brown. (170 about 40 mins)
I would imagine a bit of cheese would be nice on top but I don't eat it!

To make the mash I add a bit of skimmed milk, mash but then I use an electric whisk on it... my kids call it cloud mash because it's so fluffy Grin

I'm not a massive fan of butter but you could always syn a bit just be careful not add too much milk (I did tonight) it goes a bit sloppy.

Morning all!

@troppibambini the soup is so easy, I get either a bag of frozen butternut squash or half of one and half frozen sweet potato, chuck it in my soup maker with onion, garlic, chilli, ginger, stock and half a tin of coconut milk! I just fill the stock until it's the same level as the solid stuff. Then the soup maker whizzes it for you but if it was in a pan would use a stick blender and get it nice and smooth. The frozen stuff is a game changer, I can't be done with cutting up butternut sqaush, nearly lose a finger every time. Grin

However the butternut squash soup is finished today but I have half a tin of coconut milk to use so..

L - lentil and coconut soup - this one is leek, spinach, turmeric, garlic, chilli, lentils, stock and coconut milk, it's yum. And having with a halloumi pitta (1.5 syns total plus HEA and HEB)

T - not 100% sure yet but quite fancy some ham egg and chips

S - nectarine and pear

Have a good day everyone, Friday tomorrow woohoo! Wine
