@beadyboo you must feel really hacked off. I know I would be 😢

Back from Sunday lunch. It was epic! Bit of a mixed bag as it was slow cooked pork which was delicious but probably not the leanest...filled up on lovely boiled new potatoes with carrots, peas, beans and cauliflower, and managed to shove some of my roasties on to DHs plate so only had two tiny ones and just had a drizzle of gravy. U fortunately also ate stuffing and two pieces of crackling 😳😳 pud was stewed rhubarb (I scraped the crumble off as I just don’t like it which helped!) which again could have been far worse, and I just had a couple of spoonfuls of custard on it. Then a cuppa and some milky way stars 🤦‍♀️ Avoided the wine and stuck to water.

So could be better, could be worse. I think I managed a little bit of damage limitation but to be honest, I really enjoyed it, and it was so lovely to enjoy a meal with my dad again after all this time. I’m so relieved we can “bubble” with him now. It feels like one of those days where life is for living IYSWIM? Had some crap but also avoided a lot of crap but also had a lovely family day.

Breakfast was 0%greek yog with banana, blueberries and strawberries.

Tea....well I’m still stuffed from lunch but know I’ll be peckish later, planning maybe a poached egg on toast and some fruit I think.

JingleAndTonic · 14/06/2020 16:38

well done on losses, any loss is great!

trying to be better today but i'm not on the cooking tonight and oil has been used 😱 but it's still within syns!

L - veggie sausage bean and cheese toastie (1 syn, HEA and HEB)

T - chicken curry (5 syns 😬), rice and 2 poppadoms (4 syns)

S - 2x slice of banana bread (7 syns)

beadyboo · 14/06/2020 17:13

Part of the mystery is uncovered. Trying to be good I declined all offers of Prosecco, champagne and G&T and instead had tonic water with herbs and berries and lots of ice. Turns out that DH had bought me Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic as a treat which is a whopping 9 syns a bottle. Gutted!! Trying not to think of all the lovely things I could have eaten for 9 syns. Still, lesson learned.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/06/2020 17:32

Wasn’t diet tonic then. Bless hubby. He meant well. And if you enjoyed it then ......

One meal of 21 isn’t going to break the bank. Sounds a yummy roast and nice to see your dad

I see mine weekly to drop off food but since open spaces we’ve gone in his garden and played chase etc

Didn’t go in house yesterday

Think he is fed up now. Been in 12wfine if the end but it’s not and he went to sains earlier

Agree he can’t stay in house forever. He’s fit but over 80 but still I worry

New scales arrived. Not sure I like. They still vary in weight. Maybe I now have a wonky floor

mummyof4kids · 14/06/2020 21:52

@Hartleyhare1206 glad you had a nice day, family time is the best.
I'm dying for one of my mums roast dinners but she's still shielding 😢 I think the bubble thing is really good though, my sister and her boyfriend don't live together and it's been hard for them so I'm glad for her that they can 'bubble'
I was at work today until 1.30, the girls at work ordered breakfast so had sausage and egg sandwich
Wasn't hungry at lunch so skipped
Tea was a zinga chicken burger meal, now finishing off the wine 😫
Thought I'd enjoy a cheat day but my tummy is screaming out for fruit I think 😂
Ready to be back on plan 100% tomorrow

mummyof4kids · 14/06/2020 21:53

@Blondeshavemorefun I have a wonky floor too 😂😂

supersalmon1 · 15/06/2020 07:51

Morning! Hope everyone had good weekend. We saw both sets of parents this over the weekend (socially distanced obviously) which was lovely, particularly as I hadn't seen mine since March.
Weigh day for me - 0.5lb. Bit meh about it but I think as I'm so close to my target it might slow down considerably.

Hartleyhare1206 · 15/06/2020 09:01

@Blondeshavemorefun yes I can see why you worry about your dad, I’m the same with mine. I do his shopping for him but then find he took himself to the co-op because he was basically bored.
Shame about the wonky floor, probably cheaper to just assume the lower reading weight wise than try and fix the floor I’d say😄

@mummyof4kids that food all sounds yummy 🤤🤤🤤

@supersalmon1 sounds like a nice weekend, although I understand you feeling dejected 😢

I’m back on it today.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/06/2020 09:15

But now to be told should stay in another 12w ......

OP posts:
Hartleyhare1206 · 15/06/2020 09:15

Oh crap forgot the dressing on the tuna pasta. It’s a mix of 0% greek yog and lighter than light mayo - so 1 syn.

Hartleyhare1206 · 15/06/2020 10:05

@Blondeshavemorefun I can see why he is fed up and wanting to go out. It feels never ending doesn’t it. My dad is on his own too which is why I’m so pleased we can see him properly now.
Sounds like you have a great Father’s Day planned for him. I have no clue what to get or do for mine as it was only his bday two weeks ago and I used any good ideas then 😂

Sounds like a tasty food day xx
