Lost 1.5lb at today’s wi. A bit disappointed because this was probably my best week and I’m away at the weekend for a boozy weekend with friends so I was hoping for a big loss to keep me on track. As DH pointed out I’ve lost 10.5 in 4 weeks which is good, and I have been enjoying food optimising, so I really have nothing to complain about do I. Plan to stay on track for whole week and use as few syns as possible to try and limit the damage at weekend. I’m loving all the meal ideas on here Grin

@JBFletchers don't be dispirited, weight loss isn't linear. There's a thing about the fat cells where when you lose fat for a certain amount of time they refill with water, so you won't show much loss. Then when you lose a bit more - boom! They all empty. Also it's about what you do week on week. Well done on the loss! And your overall loss!

I have to say I am really crap at this, but I feel like I fail every diet - and at least with this one I am keeping on going, whereas usually I give up and put all the weight back on. It's taken me since July to lose a stone. I'm also living in some weird parallel universe where we're trying for a baby so I'm hoping to lose as much as possible before I get pregnant but then knowing that if I do, I won't be able to lose any more weight, is seriously mucking with my motivation. I can't imagine being in a new dress at Christmas, for example, because I sort of hope to be even bigger than I am now!

I'm with you @troppibambini - it's one step forward, one step back at the moment. But today will be a good day x

@JBFletcherismyaunt that's a really good loss well done! You dh is right sometimes we all need to look at the bigger picture.

Tiger totally get that when I was trying to lose in between and during being/trying to be pregnant it was really hard, part of me thought oh sod it I will deal with it when I done with having kids.
I got pregnant seven times (unfortunately not everybody made it) so that was a lot of eating!!

I will never be a food photographer but here's my lunch.
I didn't fancy breakfast so made it into a dessert.
Lentil Dahl, roasted cauliflower with smoked paprika, bit of salad, mint yogurt, ww wrap (heb) a poppadom(2)
Frozen cherries and raspberries heated in the microwave (rebel) Greek yogurt and two mini merengues (1)

Thanks @troppibambini and @TigerJoy. I also usually fail at every diet I try, and have also tried SW many times before too and never made it past the first week. Something just seems to have clicked this time - although I'm only 4 weeks in - but it feels like more of a lifestyle change this time.

Sorry to hear about your babies @troppibambini. I suffered multiple miscarriages and the death of my middle son, I felt like I was pregnant for 6 years, all of which has contributed to my weight gain.
I kept putting it off until after I had kids, and now I’m definitely not having any more! It’s great that you’re trying to lose some before getting pregnant @TigerJoy, hope you have a big, non food related, bump soon!

Oh @JBFletcherismyaunt. So sorry to hear your son died - I’ve always said a parent shouldn’t have to bury their child 💐💐

When dh died my world collapsed , and awful with my mum - but now I’m a mum I just can’t imagine how I would cope if dd died 😢

So sorry for everyone's loss. I've lost a parent myself and it was a downward spiral for me really mentally. Things aren't as bad now but it's been almost 4 years. In a way sw gave me a focus away from the other crap in my life.

Today's food.

No breakfast.

Lunch - smoked salmon, poached eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes.

Tea - 3x linda mccartney red onion sausages, swede and carrot mash, sugar snap peas and gravy (3 syns).

Snacks- white choc kvarg (1/2 syn), blueberries and 2 x alpen light (heb).

Tomorrow is off plan as me and my bff have started going for lunch, cake and coffee after wi and it's also the day my dc does cooking at school. Mac & cheese tomorrow NOT sw friendly in the slightest and I'm the only person that likes it!

Just reading people's posts here, I'm so sorry about your losses.

When I lost my mum and dad within a few months of one another, that's when my eating really got out of control. I never really thought about the connection before now. X

B - porridge (HEA, HEB, 1 syn for sugar)
L - smoked mackerel salad
D - spag bol, currently on the job, 1/2 syn for oil

S - I had a hungry caterpillar moment after lunch. Some of those blondies - let's say 3.5 syn, 3 syn for a hifi, and 3 satsumas after lunch. Sw houmous and peppers, and some prosciutto while I cooked dinner. I'm still bloody starving so might have some peanuts while I wait for the pasta to boil (3.5 syns) plus possibly a hot chocolate after dinner (3.5). Maybe not though, typing all that out it's loads...

Sorry for everyone’s sad losses. My dads death definitely started me off on a bad run of binge eating. Glad to be back on track through, I am at WI now, lost 4lbs this week, making a total of 13lbs in 2 weeks Smile

Hi, can I join you please ? Started about 4 weeks ago and have lost 6 pounds. Have a lot to loose though so really need to change my eating habits for good.
B a banana, a pear and an apple.
Managed somehow to resist the warm sausage rolls being offered round at playgroup!!! It was like torture as I do love a warm sausage roll!!!
L a SW fry up, 4 slices of bacon, 2 eggs, mushrooms, beans and tomatoes and one piece of toast.
D- a bolognaise with rice and a fat free yoghurt with sweetener.
So am feeling quite pleased with today but do feel a bit snacky so may have to just have a banana and got to bed!!!

L: fairy cake (oops) estimating 15 syns

D: pasta, chicken breast, peppers in actifry with salt and pepper seasoning
