Like 1 lb a week should be easy enough but it's just hard to stay motivated... so hopefully this time around I get there... 1 lb a week-really going to try my hardest time and not give in to temptation!!

Can I join please? Newbie who got a very big shock at my first group weigh in by finding out I was 17stone 13. I knew I'd put on a lot but I'd been in denial for about three years. So. Onwards and downwards!!! Any advice much appreciated I'm a veggie who will eat fish and prawns twice a year but I'm thinking that I'll reassess if I can't find enough veggie options. I'm going to group. I'm hopeful I can keep on track! x

Hello all! I've not posted on here for ages! Hope everyone is doing ok.

I've gained 6lb over the school holidays, had a couple of weeks away, lots of lunches out etc. So went to weigh in on Tuesday and I've got a week to lose 3.5lb to get back into target range.Grin

Clearly that's not going to happen! I've got a weekend away this weekend, but I'm resigned to paying for a few weeks now.

Looking forward to catching up with how you've all been getting on.

I want to do 1.5 by Christmas too! First weigh in on Sat but won't have lost anything as I've been away. Stupidly forgot that when I joined! Starting strictly and properly on Sat after my weigh in.

Evening ladies, I’m back. Have fallen off the wagon massively. WW didn’t work, I felt deprived. I’ve started back at group this week, hoping to lose at least half of it by Christmas.

Having two operations in the near future, need it off.

@ALemonyPea that's the reason why I left WW. I just felt so deprived and hungry! A lot of people have been saying that the Flex plan is useless and doesn't work for them so we aren't the only ones

Welcome back lemony :)

I thought ww was a rip off of sw pretty much this days, guessing not then?

Welcome newcomers :) I've got weigh in at 9.30am, can't stop to group though :/

I have a manic week ahead, two parties this weekend, one totally out with my control also involves overnight stay at in laws. Then a lunch meeting on Monday (should be ok as it's a local food network thing) and a friend wants to try the new bubble waffle place on Friday 🙈🙊

I eat a lot of veggie meals even though I'm not, cheaper!

Depends on which plan you follow on WW, there are two. One is like SW, unlimited crumpets, but no A or B.

raisedbyguineapigs · 01/09/2018 07:59

Unlimited crumpets you say? Where do I sign? Grin

Report
ALemonyPea · 01/09/2018 08:20

The thrill of unlimited crumpets last all of three days when you discover you can’t have lashings ofbutter and jam.

I’ve discovered peanut butter powder instead of peanut butter. 1 tbsp of powder makes around 2 of pb, and it’s only 1.5 syns. It’s just as nice as pb out the jar.

Hi all
I find I'm really good some days (like 4 days in row) then have a really bad day of eating 2 bats and packet of crisps in the day!! Without even thinking 🙁🙁 ruins the good days then at weigh in when nothing lost

Report
raisedbyguineapigs · 01/09/2018 11:11

That's true! Where do you get peanut butter powder?

Report
FoofFighter · 01/09/2018 11:24

Unlimited crumpets?? How random!

I tried the pb powder, not a fan unless it's in a meal

2lbs lost this week, 10lb total so far, till on week 3

I got it from Holland and Barrat, but it’s quite expensive there. Asda and Tesco sell it though, but not by the peanut butter, it’s by either the baking section or muscle building stuff. Quite randomly placed.

Lightheart86. I am the exact same but what I'm doing is, for every day I do that, I make myself walk 5 miles. I'm only in my first week & had one bad day already. Forget it, it happens and will happen again to us all. Continue. X

Report
Lightheart86 · 01/09/2018 15:25

Yes binfield your right, it will happen, it's just to make up for it and try not have it too bad. Just had couscous and carrots, broccoli, and peas, nice and healthy and tasty!!

I'm on holiday in Llandudno. I know I'm not going to lose 3.5lb in a week so I'm having a bit of a day off tbh!

Going to get back on it tomorrow and Monday back to work after the summer so will be in a better routine. My birthday in 7 weeks so hoping to be back at target by then.

Ah Groovee, that’s tough. My DS keeps talking about moving away to uni in 3 years time, I’m I’ll just thinking about it.

Lighthearted, one bad meal is fine, you have 21 meals week anyway, try not to sweat the small stuff.

Had a good day, teriyaki salmon with stir fry veg and noodles for tea, very tasty. 5 syns eaten today.

Arghhhh week 2 and I’ve put 1\2 lb on.

I lost 4lb the first week and was hoping for 2 this week. I buggered up on the first 2 days of the week, too many syns, but since then I’ve only used half my syns each day to make it back up. I’m gutted. I know it must be something I did as SW has always worked for me. I’m just so pissed off this early into the diet, don’t want to lose motivation

Haven't been on here for ages, I reached my target mid May, 9st 7, lost just under 2 stone. I've managed to maintain, haven't strayed outside the 3lb allowance either side. It was hard at first, but I allowed myself to relax a bit, and not be so rigid with it all. I don't count my syns regularly now, but if I've put a bit on then I keep an eye on them the following week. Slimming world does work, but you do have to put the effort in to get the results. It was the best think I've done stepping through the door to my first meeting. I still go every week, as I think it would be too easy to slip backwards without the scales to account too!
