We wént to the Toby Cavery for tea last night Shock though I had turkey, a small bit of mash, just 2 roasties and veg, (I know they cook it in butter, but picked mine of the top as it drains to the bottom) I didn't have much gravy and gave DP my yorkie. It was lovely and I had only used 4.5 syns up until then. Today is 100% on plan, as weigh in tomorrow

B - raspberry wheaties and yoghurt
L - homemade soup
D - hunters chicken, SW chips and veg.

BasinHaircut · 15/04/2018 09:48

You’re right calzone, I should just face it and hopefully a (hopefully small) gain will give me a kick up the bum.

I’ve just been meal planning the coming week and I’ve only got 2 things that I need to worry about. I’m having friends for dinner on Friday but I can make something at least vaguely SW friendly and stay on plan if I’m careful. Then on Sunday we are going up to watch the London marathon and I’ve started thinking about doing a pack up lunch and what we could take. DH is trying to do it too, so we can have the same which helps.

boats16 · 15/04/2018 10:00

@ Frozen - do you not get really down when you have a day thats gone off plan ? I do . I start thinking that that will have spoiled my weigh in for the week so why bother the rest of the week .I am the only one that think like this ????? Hmm

tiredwitless · 15/04/2018 10:54

Hi all
I’d like to join you if that’s ok?
I joined slimming world online a week ago and lost 1.5 lb so far sticking to the plan which I’m happy about.I’m worried I’m going to find it very hard to do once the novelty has worn off without some accountability / support so hoping if I post on here a bit that will help.
I’m not expecting huge losses each week because I eat pretty healthily to start with - except that I love bread, cheese and butter and ate way too much of those often instead of meals when tired, esp late evenings... and that has been the hardest bit this week to eat so much less of these. My saving grace has been the fact that you can eat as much as you like of free foods and I have eaten tons this week and looks like it works!
I have about 2 stone to lose but I’m perimenopausal and I know it’s not going to come off too easily ... my motivation is my knee has started to give me trouble and I get heartburn now needing daily medication and really feel I have to get my weight into normal range or it’s all downhill from here!
So today I need to do a meal plan for coming week ( I’m really not a planner but I can see that’s going to have to change! )

boats16 · 15/04/2018 11:03

We come Tired
Anyone know how many syns for Asdas original porridge oats 27g sachet instead of OSS .It's cheaper. I syn my porridge in preference to other things

Worlds0kayestmum · 15/04/2018 11:08

Hi hoping I can join. I started doing SW at home last Friday and lost 5lbs. I have done it from home previously and managed to lose 5 stone but disgusted at myself for putting it all back on. Need to knuckle down.

Only difficulty I'm having is working out how many HEA's I should be having whilst breastfeeding. My friend gave me the guidance page but still not sure how many to have. He's 11 months old but a preemie so 9 months corrected, he eats solids but not a great deal and still feeds around 5 times a day with me and three more times overnight. Currently going with one extra and being a bit relaxed and sometimes having a little more cheese

MyGuideJools · 15/04/2018 14:22

boats j used to be like that, one slip and I would give up and bingeBlush but I'm much better at drawing a line now, I've trained myself to forget and move on.

We are having Chinese tonight. I've had a few night shifts so have no inclination to cook and have friends coming round
I will have chicken and mushroom with boiled rice (9 syns)
I had toast (hexB) with real butter (4syns)

The only asda 27g sachet porridge I can find is the golden syrup flavour 5.5 syns

FrozenMargarita17 · 15/04/2018 16:13

I've decided to stop attending my group and just follow plan and weigh myself. I guess I won't be able to use the app though to check syns but tbh I tend to stick to free things anyway and don't really use my syns.

calzone · 15/04/2018 16:23

How much weight have you lost @frozenmargarita?

I tried to do what you are doing but gained quite a lot back as I seemed to go into freefall......

boats16 · 15/04/2018 16:39

Is 35g kelloggs fruit and fibre cereal ok to be used as a HEB ? Im trying to sort out my breakfasts in a morning Smile

FrozenMargarita17 · 15/04/2018 16:53

@calzone I've lost 1 stone 6.5lb. I'm going to keep track of everything I eat on my meal planner so I don't lose myself. Being on maternity leave has hit us hard this month and Dh was underpaid so £5 a week is too much right now

ALemonyPea · 15/04/2018 17:52

Was having such a good week, then went to my sisters house today to give a birthday pr3sent, and there were cakes galore. Tried to stay on the healthier side ( Ames with fruit in) but over my syns. Tomorrow is a new day though.

mayathebee · 15/04/2018 18:03

I've lost another 1.5lb this week which makes 6lb over the holidays. Really pleased but also realising how far I have to go and how much I need to lose to see a real change. I need to make sure I stay focused and don't lose motivation once I'm back at work.

Frozen - I think it's tough doing it by yourself but you know what you need to do and I'm sure you can stick with it.

World's - I can't help with the hex a sorry but welcome to the thread.

Tired - I'm like you. I worry what will happen when the novelty wears off but I've told me mum I'll text her my weight on a Sunday to make it feel like a weigh in.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

boats16 · 15/04/2018 18:35

Well done Maya 🎉

@ Frozen - I've lost 1 1/2 stone and I have never been a member of a group. You can do it yourself.. There are always people on here that will help . 😀

MyGuideJools · 15/04/2018 18:58

boats you can indeed have 35g f&f as HexB👍
frozen I think you can successfully 'go it alone' I plan to when I've finished my 3 month block.
I've got lots of info squirrelled away! and there's always lots of help on hereSmile

FrozenMargarita17 · 15/04/2018 19:23

I'm quite strong willed and I'm really focussed, plus I have my planner so I record all syns and I can always refer to my book or google if needed. I just can't afford £5 a week right now!

It isn't sustainable for me to attend forever so I'm thinking from now just take what I've learned and go for it. Plus, I just love the food and have recipes stocked up so it's not like I'm out of ideas etc!

OwlinaTree · 15/04/2018 19:32

I'll check the breast feeding book out in a bit world. I love your user name, I should have that on a mug!

B scrambled eggs, shreddies with fruit and yogurt. 1

L tuna jacket and salad (in cafe) 6?
T sausage and mash with veg and gravy. 4.5
S ryvita with cottage cheese and pickle 1

Back to work for me tomorrow. Sad moment making lunch and breakfast ready for the morning.

MyGuideJools · 15/04/2018 20:04

well I've blown it big time tonightBlush
had my Chinese, but didn't stick to the planned meal. had sweet and sour chicken and duck pancakes too.
I've now got the other half of my only Easter egg in my lap ready to be scoffed.
I blame night shifts, they turn me into a dustbin!
back on plan in the morning!

Testarossa1 · 15/04/2018 20:53

Nervous about weigh in tomorrow, thoroughly expecting a gain.

I've stopped keeping a food diary, I know what I should be having now. I still do record my syns though, otherwise I'd go well over. I use an app to do that now, its called slimit. I've found it easier than a piece of paper (plus it's free).

Groovee · 15/04/2018 21:11

Been at a spa day today and been completely off plan 🙈

Hey ho. It's only one day. Back on food optimising tomorrow morning x

OwlinaTree · 15/04/2018 21:13

Did you have a good day groovee?

Kim82 · 15/04/2018 21:16

Hi everyone, can I join please? I’ve been doing SW since Jan and have lost 2st, 4lb so far. I’m planning on doing 5 days of SP this week before weigh in on Saturday to hopefully get my 2.5 stone award. Any meal ideas would be great as I’ll need to do my weekly shop on Tuesday.

MumInTheCity · 15/04/2018 21:42

Welcome to all the newbies and well done to the losers.
Hope you enjoyed your day Groovee.

Today's food:
B - banana
L - sausages (2 syns), butternut squash, mushrooms and tomatoes
D - lamb shank in mint gravy (1 syn), roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, broccoli, peas and homemade yorkshires (1.5 syns)
S - muller light, jelly (half a syn) and 2 hifi bars (HEB)

calzone · 15/04/2018 21:58

B....none

L....golden crunch with muller light and apple

D.....roast chicken, potatoes, parsnips, sprouts, carrots, broccoli and peas. Gravy for syns.

Sliver of chocolate cake.
Red wine
Hot chocolate

Had no syns all week yet so should be ok.

BasinHaircut · 16/04/2018 07:10

Kim82 a nice simple SP meal is steak and stir fry. Obviously a lean cut!

Or omelette/SW quiche and salad.

Just had a sneaky weigh in and fingers crossed will only be half a pound gain tonight. I’d be really chuffed as this week has been more off plan than on.

Back on it this week with Friday night and Sunday being the only obstacles.
