I have been avoiding WI as I was 0.5 over target in the evening. Weighed myself this morning and I am bang on my target weight (9st 12.5).

I have been watching quite a few nutrition programmes recently- The truth about carbs, Turn back diabetes, Get a beach body etc. Lots of these programmes seem to be in line with the SW ethos- stick to low energy density foods, protein and loads of veg.

I tried rye bread this week. 89p a loaf from Lidl (it has a long best before date but it feels like a brick!) Very thin slices that smell treacly. I had a couple of slices toasted with peanut butter and cucumber. It was delicious and very filling.

Diabetes worries me as my dad had type 2 due to poor diet and being overweight. He ended up with a quadruple heart by-pass, kidney problems, foot ulcers, toe then a leg amputation, being totally blind and passing away too early weighing about 8 stone. It is amazing that scientists have found that type 2 diabetes can be reversed in 8 weeks in some cases. Sadly, too late for my lovely dad.

Well done Faith on nearing you platinum body magic.

I am nearing my gold. Had a lovely walk along the South Downs and Beachy Head this afternoon. The water was turquoise and looked almost Mediterranean! I did a 10k Solstice walk on Thursday in my local town along with 170 others. Another lovely evening.

Banana8080 · 24/06/2018 19:20

My first weigh in after a week back on SW...last Sunday I was 14st 3lbs, this week I'm 13st 13lbs!!

Very chuffed and getting bang into it now, looking forward to the week ahead!

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 25/06/2018 07:44

This is yesterday's food diary! I went over my syns a bit but I will pull it back today!

B: Couscous, blueberries, skyr and choc shot(2), coffee (HexA)

L: leftover mayflower curry(4), cauliflower rice, apple, satsuma, 2 Alpen light(HexB), strawberries, hot chocolate(2)

D: 2x 5% fat Aldi beef burgers(2), bacon, cheese (HexA), wedged, cucumber and portobello mushroom

S: 3 Coca Cola ice popsicles, I had 3 which are 3 syns each so that's 9 syns!

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 25/06/2018 07:45

@StewPots that's fantastic!! Well done

Cherrypi · 25/06/2018 09:24

Went a bit off track at the weekend. Meal out switched to prezzo at the last minute and had risotto, a glass of wine and pudding. Had an ice cream out in the park Saturday and an extra hex b yesterday. Hoping to stay on track the next two days and hopefully still get a loss.

nothingworksforme · 25/06/2018 11:17

Hi there,

Just looking for some advice really, I started SW a week ago tomorrow. Before I went to group for the first time to join up I weighed myself in the morning before food, just so I could get an idea of what my starting weight was (10st0.5), as it happens I didnt manage to get weighed in the morning session at SW and then had to go back in the evening and get weighed then, I had been eating all day etc and according to their scales I weighed 3lbs over what I did in morning on mine (10st.3.5). It was my first weigh in today (a day early) and again before I went for my weigh in at SW I weighed myself on my scales (which are accurate) in the morning before food and I weighed 10st0.5, then got to weigh in at SW and I weighed myself there and I weighed (10st.0.5), they say I have lost 3lbs but in my head and by my own weigh ins I havent actually lost anything? Just wondering what everyone else thinks and whether everyone else has also lost nothing at all in the first week?

Just for info I have completely stuck to the EE diet and no slips ups also kept between 5-15 syns a day, so not quite sure what is going wrong : /

Sorry for the lonwinded message but I just feel a bit down about it.

Thanks

Groovee · 25/06/2018 20:07

Enjoying the lovely weather.

Welcome @nothingworksforme, I only weigh in at SW. That way you'll get regularly calibrated scales. I know my home ones vary according to the floor!

I should get my platinum body magic next week! I finish work on Friday for the 6 weeks holiday. Will be interesting to see how my weight goes not being at work. We go away in 2 weeks time.

L: Asian Inspired Noodles from Aldi(2), satsuma, iced coffee(HexA)

D: Lamb Rogan Josh from Aldi(1.5), rice, and wild rocket. Coca Cola popsicle(3)

Ending the day on: 8.5 syns

PositiveAttitude · 25/06/2018 22:32

I had a disastrous weekend. Really not looking forward to WI tomorrow. Oh well, I will take it on the chin. I am already back on it and I will hopefully soon lose the gain I know I will be getting. Blush

StewPots · 26/06/2018 08:07

Thank you @MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup :)

MyGuideJools · 26/06/2018 08:18

well I've not had a brilliant week but hoping to claw a little loss tomorrow🤞
Had that Ikea buffet earlier in the week then went to a bbq at the weekend but only had one bread roll but meat and ice cream.
I've had a hectic 4 days at work so hopefully all the running around will counteract the synsGrin

MyGuideJools · 26/06/2018 08:22

welcome nothing
I always go by sw scales now. I posted a few weeks back that I went to an evening class instead of my usual 9am and I had gained 4lb,
The next week I went back to 9am weigh in and lost 7lbConfused
My consultant says your weight can fluctuate up to 6lb between morning and evening!
Hence I'm sticking to 9am now!

StewPots · 26/06/2018 10:31

I'm off out for breakfast with my friend who's pregnant and craving a fry up GrinI'm going to substitute where I can and then syn everything else and be really good for the rest of today.

Or try to be anyway Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/06/2018 15:06

Told you @jools

The scaldes are diff and you weigh 3 lbs less in am

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 26/06/2018 15:45

B: homemade hash brown and onions, 2 poached eggs, plum tomatoes and 2 vegetarian sausages(2)

L: ham and cheese roll(HexA and B, and 2 syns for butter), Skyr(1), satsuma, coffee

D: Aldi Cajun Chicken Sizzlers, Golden Savoury Rice, roasted bell pepper cut in half with 2 cheese triangles melted(3)

S: watermelon, Alpen light(3)

Ending the day on: 9 syns.

FaithEverPresent · 26/06/2018 16:27

Hope you enjoyed it stewpots!

Hi nothing, welcome. I do shifts and sometimes can only do Tuesday mornings (I usually weigh in at night after dinner). I do see a variation between am, evening and before/after dinner. You’ll look like you’ve lost 3lb according to their scales. My scales are about 2lb heavier than SW ones. Theirs scales are calibrated so it should be fairly consistent time of day aside. I’d just try to get to the same group each week and see how it goes.

StewPots · 26/06/2018 17:24

I did pretty well with my breakfast today in the end. Had poached eggs, bacon no fat, beans and tomatoes, 1 grilled hash brown, 1 Quorn sausage and 2 pieces of wholemeal toast.

Usually I'll have 2 fried eggs, all the bacon, 2 sausages, with black pudding and white toast slathered in butter so good going!

Dinner is totally syn free with a meringue berry natural yoghurt concoction for dessert. I've had no snacks today as haven't needed them. Pretty good day after that!

Solina · 26/06/2018 18:14

I have been posting a lot in the other thread but just wanted to come back to this one to say that I have had a pretty good second week. Stayed on plan every day apart from the day of the party at the weekend. I will have my WI tomorrow and I am really looking forward to it weirdly!

Groovee · 26/06/2018 18:36

2lb gain. Bang on target. No idea where I have gone wrong. Think the heat may not be helping.

Cherrypi · 26/06/2018 19:35

2.5lb off yay. BMI 25.9 which I’m very excited about. Almost there.
