Hi all,

Iv just started slimming world after gaining weight since having a baby. Pretty irritated with myself as I didn't gain much weight at all during pregnancy but I've sat around eating custard creams in bed while bf'ing and managed to gain a stone in his short four month life.

I'd like to lose two stone, this will hopefully put me back to a size eight.

I have a first goal of the end of August as I'm a bridesmaid. I do have a size 12 dress, have just had to ask bride to return the 10 and get me a 12 🙈

I haven't joined a group I've joined online as, also trying to exercise and have started Zumba just at local library and go for walks with the pram.

Just getting my head around SW so still a bit unsure, learning syn amounts of things I like.

Yesterday I had

Granola and a muller yogurt- hx b
Fruit bowl
Scrambled egg with lean bacon medallion, mushrooms tomatoes and sweetcorn.
Beef stroganoff and rice -hx a and half a syn although didn't use the brandy?
Small Skinny cappuccino 3 syns
Alpen light bar 3 syns

Does that sound right?

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 19/06/2018 15:24

@lexiewrites that sounds good! I find that I stay in track better when I write in my food diary daily! I used to order them from eBay but I can't be doing with paying money for it so I just get a basic notebook from Poundland and write in that!

Today's meals are:

B: Swiss Style muesli(HexB), Skyr vanilla flavour, strawberries, blueberries and a plum, plus a coffee(3)
L: Cheese, Ham and Mushroom omelette and wild rocket(1/2 HexA), a banana and coffee(2 for dash of milk)
D: Speedy Chicken Supreme Pasta with some steamed broccoli and the rest of my HexA
S: Alpen Light Bar(3), a pear

Ending the day on: 8 syns.

Half on boo. I’m losing focus. Getting into bad habits again of finishing off kids crusts argh. Any tips for regaining focus please?

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 19/06/2018 19:37

@Cherrypi I always talk to myself! Lol. When I see some extra crust or any other extra bits, I just tell myself out loud "come on, snap out of it! Do not do it to yourself. Don't bloody well do it!" My husband thinks I'm bonkers but it really does work! For me anyway haha! Half a pound is nothing! Stick with it and it will come off again next week!

MyGuideJools · 19/06/2018 20:00

sounds good lexie I also find writing everything down helps keep me on track, even writing down the massive chocolate brownie I had on my birthdayBlush
Keep posting on here, there's lots of support.🍉

Solina · 19/06/2018 20:03

Hi all,
Hope you don't mind me jumping on. I started SW from home in March and lost a stone in about 10 weeks then got really busy and somehow lost motivation because I seem to be eating the same foods over and over. Spent the last 4 weeks like this but somehow have managed to maintain so back on the ball this week.

Looking for some new motivation and people to help keep me on track.

Cherrypi · 19/06/2018 21:45

Ok going give myself a talking to and recording meals here for accountability. Thanks.

PositiveAttitude · 20/06/2018 06:05

Welcome Hellllp

Very pleased with another 1lb off for me tonight. Just another 2lb for my 6 stone award. Very motivated to get there over the next few weeks.

I bought a journal tonight to keep me on track. I find writing everything down keeps me accountable and on track.

Hellllllp · 20/06/2018 06:40

Congratulations! How long have you been on your journey? I have about 6 to lose which I think is part of why I got disheartened. It seems a long way off and the 1 stone I've lost doesn't seem to have made much difference.

MyGuideJools · 20/06/2018 07:20

welcome helllllp
In my personal experience, nobody really noticed my weight loss until I'd lost over 2 stone. I myself noticed looser clothing but like you the 1st stone didn't make much difference.
Keep going! I found it easier to break down the losses into half stone segments. And as others have said, write everything down
Flowers

Hellllllp · 20/06/2018 07:38

Thanks all. I'm going to sort myself out a nice journal at the weekend to write everything down.
I have loads of recipes for dinners but struggle with the rest of the day. I eat a lot of wraps for lunches but am getting bored of the same thing over and over. When Im at work, I don't have access to a microwave so need ideas of cold lunches. I also don't like breakfast first thing so eat when I get to the office and need ideas of foods that will fill me up until lunch as at the moment I'm just snacking all morning.

Groovee · 20/06/2018 07:42

Welcome Hellllllp. I have 8 stone to lose and do also find it a bit disheartening but at the same time I think that if it takes a year or two or three it wont make a difference. I would rather lose it slowly than not at all.

In my opinion previously when I have lost a stone no one has noticed. I think for me after 2 or 3 stone loss people will start to notice.

Tonight will be my first weigh in and I am interested to see how it goes. I have been 100% on the plan so hoping for a nice loss.

JaceLancs · 20/06/2018 08:40

Not been on here for a while
Got my 4.5 stone award last night which for me is a major achievement as I’m a really slow loser
Been on SW 18 months now and am getting there
My target is another 1.5 stone but may lower it depending on how I feel if I ever get there!
I’m trying to lose another half stone in next couple of months before my holiday - which should be do able at a pound a week but I won’t beat myself up if I dont

MyGuideJools · 20/06/2018 14:45

well after my 4lb gain last week, (which the consultant thinks is because I weighed in at 7pm instead of my usual 9am) I lost 7lb!!! so that's 9.5lb total loss in 4 weeks.
I'm not weighing in at 7pm anymoreGrin

Cherrypi · 20/06/2018 16:50

Yay we’ll done myguide.

Meals for today
B berries, yoghurt and granola
L veggie omelette and yoghurt
D lamb potatoes cauliflower and peas
Snacks nectarines, raspberries, alpen bar, mini milk

Groovee · 20/06/2018 17:28

Well done @JaceLancs and @MyGuideJools
