Hmm I find it hard to restrict my B choices! Blush I love cereal and bread! Lots of members at my group like hi-fi bars. I don’t eat wheat so can’t have most of them but I always think that I’d never chose those over a nice slice of toast (albeit GF) or cereal!

Have a look through your book though. As pp say, it’s not just bread or cereal but crisp breads, cereal bars, fruit in dried/canned/cooked forms, nuts and seeds.

I’ve had a good couple of days. We have a ‘treat’ drawer at work but the last few days it’s only had biscuits so I couldn’t eat any those! I need to do a long run this weekend (probably tomorrow) because I have my 10k next weekend). I’ve completed 3 weeks of my platinum award now!

Ninchninch · 26/05/2018 09:47

Hi all, joined the thread recently but didn't come back!
So had an awful week weight wise last week. I weigh in on Wednesday's. Put on 3.5lb! I didn't know you could put on that much weight in a week!
Had a fun time doing it though so I don't feel too bad. I guess it's just life!
Having a better week this week. I was only 1/2lb away from my stone award last week too! So now I am 4lbs away!
Hopefully I can have a better week this week.
I have learned that 5 years worth of bad habits are not going to erase themselves in a few months!

I use my hex b for toast in the morning. I did start using it for the hifi bars but I think toast is better then the sugar filled bars. I would like to get away from processed food as much as possible. I know bread isn't fantastic but it's got to be better than hi-fi bars surely?! They also cost a lot!

Well done on the awards! I think that's the next step for me in terms of turning my life and health around.

FaithEverPresent · 26/05/2018 10:20

Ninchninch thanks Smile It’s easy enough to get the bronze award - 15 minutes exercise three times a week. Since I started doing mine, DD has started school. I do the school run 2/3 times a week which is 15 minutes both ways. Gold award is 30 minutes 5 times a week (and platinum is that twice!). I don’t have to push myself too much harder to achieve the 5 times a week but it’s over 8 weeks so you do have to persevere with it. It’s definitely motivating me and boosts my weight loss in conjunction with following the plans.

FaithEverPresent
Thanks! I didn't realise it was that easy. I could get my silver already!
I walk to school and back everyday that's about 1 hour 45 mins, although often at a slow pace! And I go for a fast paced walk/jog twice a week and allotment grafting about twice a week! I would like to actually set aside a few hours a week for some real cardio though. I quite miss the feeling of burning lungs and legs and the satisfaction of finishing a run!

FaithEverPresent · 26/05/2018 13:29

Yeah that’s why I got started, bronze and silver are pretty easy. I like getting stickers as rewards Grin I decided to push myself for gold when I was training for a 10k - I’ve tried a big variety of exercise over the years but running is the only things I’ve stuck with long-term. I love that post-run feeling too! I always find the first mile tough but then settle in to it. I’m looking forward to getting a nice medal next week! We had our medals in a box (DH runs too) and for Christmas I got us a nice medal display. It’s definitely motivating.

I thought I’d have to do 16 weeks to get my platinum but it looks like as long as I do another 8 weeks on top of the gold I’ve already got, I’ll get my platinum.

MyGuideJools · 26/05/2018 19:03

I never have trouble using HexB as I love bread. As for HexA I usually have cheese of some kind.
I've had a good few days and am enjoying being back on plan.
Got a meal out tomorrow tho.
Can anyone tell me please what is the best thing to have at Prezzo for damage limitation??

Cherrypi · 26/05/2018 20:14

I’ve never not managed to have my hexb. Occasionally missed the last cup of coffee for my hexa but that’s rare. Gone a bit wrong this week as had an incredibly intense work week and husband had taken over the cooking temporarily. Combined with children catching a vomiting bug I’ve not been eating properly at all.

Groovee · 26/05/2018 20:29

I'm forgetting to have the extra HEB's so I may have had a lot of cake...

Prezzo- veggie lasagne or the small chicken pizza and salad is lovely.

Groovee · 28/05/2018 20:26

First day off 5 days a week at work. Survived lol.

Food wise was fine. Just hoping I have gained at least half a pound tomorrow. The only issue is I feel like I have lost inches!

FaithEverPresent · 29/05/2018 08:15

I’ve over-indulged at the weekend too. We went to the dinner (burger and chips) and the cinema (took my own skinny popcorn which was good). BBQ yesterday including gin. Slightly off set by the 5 mile run Sunday but still! Back on it today Blush

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/05/2018 12:24

Gain here too over the bank hol. Literally spent 3 days eating. But back on it today so fingers crossed for a decent week.

MumInTheCity · 29/05/2018 19:03

I've had a fantastic week celebrating the end of uni, haven't given SW a second thought, just enjoyed meals out, cocktails and lots of wine! Back on it today though, won't be weighing in until Monday so I'm hoping I can pull it back a bit! Been good today:

B - strawberries and yoghurt
L - BLT pasta salad (2 syns for mayo)
D - chilli, rice, salad, refried beans, mini tortilla (2 syns) and light sour cream (2 syns)
S - walkers poppadoms (3 syns), muller chocolate dessert (3.5 syns), 2 hifis (HEB), jelly (0.5 syns)

Groovee · 29/05/2018 19:34

I must be the only person who throws a wobbler at losing 1lb.

Drank 750mls of fluid then a banana and got weighed again and gained 2lbs. 😂😂😂 everyone had a good laugh at me!

OP posts:
FaithEverPresent · 29/05/2018 20:31

Ha ha Groovee! Grin

I felt very virtuous today. I went out with DD. I wanted a magnum (12 syns). I had a Fab lolly (4 syns). Still had 15 syns but better than nothing and I managed a 2 mile run. Halo

PositiveAttitude · 29/05/2018 21:18

Pissed off with a maintain tonight. I have stuck to it 100% and have been trying to reduce my portion sizes as I thought that may have been holding me up over the past few months. Angry Angry
So I have come home and eaten my body weight in crap!! Blush Blush Blush
hey ho - start again tomorrow morning!!

Gablexy · 29/05/2018 21:30

Lost 4lbs this week resulting in a stone over my first 4 weeks, hurrah! I’m enjoying feeling that I’m finally taking control of my eating habits and doing something effective to lose weight. Excited by the prospect that I really could reach my target!
B- 2x Weetabix (hex B) with banana and milk
L- tuna salad with mixed beans, red onion, parsley
D- roast chicken with veg
Synned a few pistachios

I usually use my hex B at breakfast but tomorrow gonna save them to try Ryvita spread with quark & marmite :)

Cherrypi · 29/05/2018 21:37

Half on. Need to plan my meals. What are everyone’s go to lunches?
