Ninchninch · 18/05/2018 21:59

Hi, I have been reading your threads for months now! And it's time I join in if that's OK?!
I have been doing slimming world for 6 weeks now.
Started 10st.13lbs
Currently 9st 13lbs
1 stone to go.
It's been great so far but I am mostly terrified about getting to target!
What happens then. I am sure being at target is harder than loosing the weight.
I keep thinking about all the foods I can eat once I am at target then remembering that if I eat all that I will just get fat again!!
It really is for life! Anyone else feel the same? I feel a bit mad thinking about it.

Everyone is doing so well on his thread.Grin
Well done!

Ninchninch · 18/05/2018 22:01

P.s it was this thread that made me FINALLY start going to slimming world! I kept reading all your results and it inspired me to actually join up instead of damaging about doing it!

Ninchninch · 18/05/2018 22:01

*dreaming!

Groovee · 18/05/2018 23:01

Welcome @Ninchninch. Well done on your loss so far. I've been at target for 8 weeks and it's been a new journey but I'm getting there. I've stayed at target so far. Fingers crossed my celebrating doesn't affect it lol x

So I lost 2 pounds this week. Bit disappointed in myself as I went off the rails Friday Saturday. So know I could have done better. Back at it today. Hope u all have a good week.

mayathebee · 20/05/2018 13:02

I lost 2lb this week which is amazing as it means I've finally lost my first stone - 3 more to go. It was a bit of a surprise as I ate loads on Friday and Saturday and had all of my syns or (many) more. I was too scared to add them up! I've upped the running this week and managed to go further and faster than before which is great but I need to have lots of healthy snacks in as I have been ridiculously hungry all week.

I'm starting to see a change in my shape, my face looks less podgy and my clothes feel looser which is lovely. I could do with a few new clothes tbh but my huge tummy isn't shifting and I'm struggling to find clothes that are flattering and fitted but are still long enough to cover my stomach without clinging.

MumInTheCity · 20/05/2018 20:39

Well done sazreed and maya.

I wore a pair of jeans 2 sizes smaller than what I was wearing in February today and it felt great!

B - Apple and orange
L - chicken and mushroom pasta n sauce (1 syn) with salad and cheese (HEA)
D - chicken fajitas (without the wrap) served with rice, salad, retries beans and a spoonful of half fat sour cream (1 syn)
S - muller chocolate fix dessert (3.5), 2 hifi bars (HEB) and some pineapple

MumInTheCity · 20/05/2018 20:40

*refried beans!

Groovee · 20/05/2018 20:57

Well done on the losses.

Day off tomorrow as it's a local holiday. Working all day on Tuesday. We have a taster. Was thinking frozen yoghurt and Weetabix muffins.

Cherrypi · 22/05/2018 06:55

Taster ideas anyone please? Would just bringing some biscuit teabags be too lazy?

Groovee · 22/05/2018 07:08

I've taken juice before when I just had surgery and couldn't make stuff.

Off to do my PVG for my new job and doing my last day in my original role. Bought some cakes for the team to share. I'll have a slice tomorrow.

I had a trial run of turkish delight yesterday, so that if they were OK I could take them for taster tonight, but if they were foul I had time to get something else from the shops. Oh my goodness they are lush!!! I am having to make another batch today as DS and I sat and ate them all!!! I made 30 sweets and it is 8 sweets for 1 syn. Shock

So quick and easy to make:

In 150ml boiling water mix 1 sachet of raspberry jelly crystals and 1 sachet of gelatine, once dissolved add a few drops of rose water.
Pour into small sweet mounds (half filled) and Put in the fridge to set.
In 75ml boiling water add another sachet of gelatine and in another bowl add a sachet of chocolate highlights in 75mls boiling water. Once both dissolved add together and pour on top of the set jelly. Set again.
Yummy!!!!

These are the first sweety type things that I have enjoyed they have to be tried to be believed. Grin

A bit nervous for WI tonight. I have tried so hard and done well, but my body is weird and that doesn't seem to mean a lot when it comes to WI.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/05/2018 09:51

Maybe @groovee. Tho I’m a crap cook

B melon
L jacket and salad
T sw lamb curry and rice

Hope curry tastes ok. I’ve made like the chicken one I did before

Lots of onion peppers carrots

Groovee · 22/05/2018 20:18

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/05/2018 21:30

WEll done !!!

My lamb curry was yummy tho tasted and looked more like casserole 😂😂

PositiveAttitude · 22/05/2018 21:45

I lost 1lb which has taken me into the next stone zone. Pleased with that!! Grin

Turkish delight went down a storm. Everyone loved it (those that normally like turkish delight, that is)

Oldowl · 22/05/2018 22:33

Loved the taster tonight. It was like a feast. My SW group has some great cooks.

The leader made a Pimms style drink. I could not tell the difference and love a Pimms. It was made with 2l of diet lemonade and 2 tbsp of... balsamic vinegar!

Cherrypi · 23/05/2018 02:32

Only half a pound off this week. Think it’s last week’s new scales catching up with me. That and sunburn.

PositiveAttitude · 23/05/2018 07:22

Oldowl We had the "Pimms" drink too and I was quite impressed. I wouldn't feel deprived if I had that to drink through the summer when I would have had Pimms in the past. Plus I can have masses of it and not fall asleep (which is what I do after a few glasses of Pimms normally) plus i can drive!! Win win!!

Our tasters used to be brilliant, but the last one we did nobody bought anything, so it never happened (I had been away the week before, so was unaware until I got there that evening). Last night 3 of us bought something and we all shared it. One lady turned up at group with a large box of delicious looking fruit salad. Her very large tub sat on her chair while she was weighed......she then sat down, opened her box and ate it all in front of everyone before group started......put the empty box in her bag as we started and she was then 1st in line to devour the 3 tasters on the table!! Shock Plenty in there to share and I thought that a bit odd. Hmm

My group has shrunk loads over the past few months. I know it fluctuates. I prefer it smaller actually as we had a really good discussion about recipes and good tips last night due to the smaller group. When there was about 40+ it was impossible to get the same feel from everyone there. Our consultant was away on a training thing yesterday, so it was even quieter as loads of our group wont stay when a stand in does it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/05/2018 11:29

I don’t go to group so what is the tasters. Does everyone each week bring something

B ham pepper onion ommlette
L roast dinner - sadly not sw but will have lots of veg
T aw spag Bol
