Hello everyone! Not sure if anyone remembers me? I fell off the thread (and the wagon) in the Autumn when I got ill. Strong painkillers increase my appetite! I’d got to target in 8 months but regained 2 stone of my 3st 4lb loss Blush Started back a couple of weeks ago. Gained my first week thanks to struggling to curb the sugar cravings but I lost 3.5lb this week Smile Mostly on plan although over my syns today at 25..

OwlinaTree · 13/05/2018 22:09

Looking good groovee! Welcome back faith, that's a great start.

FaithEverPresent · 13/05/2018 22:29

Thanks Owlina! I’m getting back into the swing of it. I’m going for my platinum body magic award too - I’m doing a 10k in 3 weeks so I figured I’m exercising anyway but it’ll push me to do more and lose faster!

Groovee you look amazing! Do you get lots of compliments? I follow you on FB, even when I fell off the wagon I carried on. I admire your determination!

Groovee · 14/05/2018 05:26

@FaithEverPresent I still bump into people who haven't seen me who go 😱 at the difference. But when I saw how tiny my bum was yesterday I was just whoa. I never really see the back of me so it's a shock.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/05/2018 07:28

Wow @groove. And in a few months. Impressive

Groovee · 14/05/2018 07:33

It took me 14 months to get to target. I think because you never actually see yourself from behind it's more of a shock!

MyGuideJools · 14/05/2018 13:07

that's a brilliant before and after groovee I never really had any before photos as I tried my best not to be photographedGrin

I've decided I can't do this alone anymore. massively gone off the rails since my holiday. I CANNOT and will not let this 5 stone go back onAngry
My online membership has just expired so I'm rejoining group next week!

Another one come back to this thread, if you will have me back. Grin I haven't strayed too far off plan - been going to group each week and plodding away, but just not lost as much as I would have liked over the past 6 months or nearly a year!! Last week I put in a concerted effort and lost 3lb, which was huge for me as I am normally a slow loser. This week I have been on it like a car bonnet again but going from my weightloss history it doesn't mean I will have a significant loss, or even a loss at all. Weigh in tomorrow, so we shall see. I am at a 5 stone 8 lb loss, and would like to lose another 2 stone.

We are at the end of having our house done up. We have had the decorators/builders in since July last year and it has made it more difficult, especially when they did the kitchen. We are now at the stage of having new flooring put in throughout, so I will once again not have access to the kitchen for a few days, which will be a pain. It would be so much easier if I had a take-away each evening for those few days, but I will try and be organised and have the slow cooker put into the lounge and do meals in there instead.

Have any of you tried the hypnosis for weightloss to help you? A lady came to our group a few months ago and spoke about it. She then did an offer for one session at half price. I forked out £30 to go and see her with the hope of the hypnosis triggering my brain to actually not eat so much. I am really not sure it worked at all (I went about 6 weeks ago, so not just before the good loss last week) Actually I gained for the 2 weeks after I went!! Blush

FaithEverPresent · 14/05/2018 15:50

Welcome back PA! You should still be proud of how far you’ve come Smile Hope the decorating isn’t too stressful.

I’ve never had personal hypnotherapy but I’ve been using Paul McKenna’s stuff for years with mixed results. It certainly helps me to visualise myself slimmer. My problem was, if you don’t eat a balanced diet, you will get hungry and reach for ‘bad’ choices. For example, he says ‘Eat what you want’ but if you eat toast with jam for breakfast, you’ll be hungry by 11! It’s only following the SW plan that I realised how to make good choices so I don’t get too hungry too soon. Also he says ‘Eat when you’re hungry’ but it’s taken me a long time to realise that there’s a difference between my hunger pangs and my binge desires - that voice that tells me to overeat. Reading Brain over binge by Kathryn Hansen has helped me to get control over that (most of the time!).

MyGuideJools · 14/05/2018 16:05

welcome back PA I remember you! I was Lavender in the old days, you live across the water from me!
After my initial loss of 5 stone in 9 months and puting 3 back onBlush my loss has slowed down.alot.
My body probably wonders what the hell I'm playing at tbh!
So hence I'm going back to group next week. DD gets married next year so i have good reason to get stuck in!

Groovee · 14/05/2018 17:18

Welcome back PA.

MHJ it's the daily mirror that has the free joining voucher this week x

Hi Everyone,

Came back from hols on Friday and back on plan since yesterday. Had a good day and today has been great so far too. Loving the little Philadelphia light pots you can get, brought a couple to work for HEA and snacked with sugar snap peas, carrots and peppers. really helped me. especially as the girls in the office had domino's. Anyway feelin positive about shifting this 20 pounds and getting back to target :) well done to all who lost and maintained. Everyone struggling, don't panic. U will get your mojo back !!

MyGuideJools · 14/05/2018 17:56

thanks groovee👍

BasinHaircut · 14/05/2018 18:18

Put 2lb on which takes me 1.5lbs back over target. And I’m going away in ten days!

I was at 2 bbqs this weekend so I’m hoping it will level out now I’m back on it. Will WI again next week to see how I’m doing. Know I’ll gain whilst I’m away but want to get a head start if possible!

calzone · 14/05/2018 19:23

I was 12 stone 8lbs and I weighed in at 12 stone this morning. 😁😁

Testarossa1 · 14/05/2018 22:33

Have lost another 1.5lbs, so down to 9st 6.5lb. Had a chat with My consultant and have reset my target back to what I had originally set it to which was 9st 7, I'd upped it to 9st 10 as I thought the lower wasn't realistic. She also said to increase healthy fats to get my weight back up a bit.

MumInTheCity · 15/05/2018 07:46

Well done losers!

I put on half a pound this week, I was really happy with that as I'd expected to gain more! Determined to be good this week and get a decent loss.

owlsandbadgers · 15/05/2018 09:07

Hi all, rejoining after faffing around with weight watchers, shake, one meal a day etc etc. Going back to what I know best and what I know works! Bran flakes and bananas for breakfast, jacket potato with beans and salad for lunch! Feeling so motivated! Have a great day everyone!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/05/2018 09:12

Hi all. I'm new just checking in. Came along after groovee asked me to join in. You look amazing groovee, that's an amazing achievement.
My starting weight was roughly 14st. I. 5'3 so need to lose a good 4st. My first weigh in this week and I've lost 5lb. I've been good with planning my meals.
I'm dreading Saturday because I have a wedding to go to at night and I keep thinking of the booze and the buffet. I plan on making myself Syn free chilli beef and eating that before I go even though it starts at 4pm....i just need to feel full before I go or I will give in quickly. I'm going to keep my Syns for a few g&ts and maybe some crisps at buffet but that's it.
It's daunting to think how long it's going to take to get to a healthy weight.

Groovee · 15/05/2018 17:35

Welcome @Martinimonster

Could i join please? I rejoined beginning of February and am 1 stone 8 down with another 15lb to lose. I'm losing very slowly (am breastfeeding so body wants to cling to every oz) but now feel myself slipping off the wagon, and I go on hols in a week!
