Well done mum.

I was so happy to gain half a pound. It could be my time of the month coming though. But I think the new members maybe thought I had lost the plot. There was another target member who was doing the same as me to get back up.

Another pound off. I think the sp week made me hungrier. I think going lower carb without more fat was tricky. This has been my most easy to stick to diet so far.

Groovee · 09/05/2018 12:47

Well done Cherrypi x

I've had the munchies today. Have stayed at 10.5 syns for the day but no idea why as I have had lots of protein.

well done to all that have lost Star

I NEED A KICK UP THE BUM!! please someone give me a talking too!! Since my holiday where I gained 6lb I've just been continuing to eat anything I like at home as though I'm still in an all inclusive hotel ffs!
...Last night after my dinner I ate 2 Magnums and some crisps Blush
So now ive put on even more weight. I know I shouldn't be eating it but yet I still shove it in my mouth!
Help!!

FrozenMargarita17 · 10/05/2018 10:12

@MyGuideJools get someone to hide it all from you, or throw all the bad things away? It's the only way I can suggest. My other thing is I've stuck my certificates on the fridge so every time I go to get something I'm reminded of what I've lost and the work I put in to do that!

Cherrypi · 10/05/2018 10:20

The new rowntree watermelon ice creams are lovely and only 3 syns.

calzone · 10/05/2018 10:27

I’m mixing up Sw with fasting and I’m feeling great.

Plus I’ve started c25k so some good endorphins are happening. 💪🏻

I won’t post here about fasting though as I don’t want to derail anyone.

Groovee · 10/05/2018 12:29

@MyGuideJools sit down and plan your weekly meals. Try some new recipes and get a photo of your weight loss last year to remind you how good you looked.

I've also fallen off the wagon this week. I'm off work sick with a throats infection, feeling sorry for myself and eating everything in sight. Really must try to get back on it. I'm going to order a Tesco shop for tomorrow and do a proper meal plan.

abbaroony · 10/05/2018 13:39

Hi, please can I join!? I’m signing up at my local group tonight, but I’ve been reading into what SW entails and thought I’d try and have a SW friendly lunch today as a bit of a test.
I’m having:
4x new potatoes, crushed
1x individial portion tin of tuna
1x spring onion
1tbsp lighter than light mayo
1 tbsp quark
All kind of crushed up together.

And then about a third of an iceberg lettuce and half a red pepper as a salad to go with it.
Does that sound ok? I think I might swap the tiny tin of tuna for a normal sized one and maybe have 1 less new potato as it feels a bit potato heavy and I’m guessing it’s better to have more protein than carbs even if they are free?

Excited to really get going and to join you all on your journeys!

Groovee · 10/05/2018 14:02

Welcome @abbaroony. Your lunch sounds similar to what I had. Tuna, potatoes, green beans, cucumber, tomato, pickled onions, black pepper all mixed with Tesco light mayo with garlic for half a syn.

10 000 steps ✅

On plan ✅

Water ✅

BasinHaircut · 10/05/2018 15:00

Jools come on! Draw that line, you know you can do this. You know it’s because you haven’t switched off holiday mode that’s all.

Get your book out and read it tonight, front to back. Get on the website and find a new recipe to try this weekend, or plan a SW friendly bbq dinner.

You’ve got this 💪

raisedbyguineapigs · 10/05/2018 15:10

calzone I'm doing exactly the same as you Grin I went 2 months without losing weight, or losing and gaining the same 3-4 lb's over and over again. The only reason I haven't given up is because I was halfway through a countdown, so I'd paid already! I'm now doing it in combination with 14:10. I'm finding it really great! I've done 5:2 before, but didn't lose weight because I really stuffed my face on the 5 days Blush I feel I might get a better result now I'm doing both together. The first week I lost 2 lb, the second I maintained, so now I'm doing a couple of SP days too just to really get me going! Ive also started C25k. I'm on the second run, but I did loads of steps over the bank holiday weekend.

calzone · 10/05/2018 16:08

Ooh raisedbyguineapigs we have a club!!

I’m fasting 2 days a week and eating sw style the other days.

Day 3 of Doing Well.

I can literally stuff myself all day and logistically the amount of calories I’m consuming can’t help me lose weight.

raisedbyguineapigs · 10/05/2018 19:34

Hi Calzone I wonder if we can talk about it on here or if we should go to the fasting thread? I 'only' lost 1 lb this week, which realistically is 1lb a week, so what you should be losing, but I'm now wondering if I'm not eating enough! I don't start eating until 10 and stop at 8, but sometimes if I miss breakfast and just have water and coffee, I'm not hungry, Ill eat at 11, then I'm not hungry again until quite late, so I'm missing one meal! Either that or I should just be happy with 1 lb a week. People in my group are losing 6lb a week, so my chance of being slimmer of the week is remote to say the least Grin

Groovee · 10/05/2018 21:09

Went to Burlesque tonight. My legs are dying. It's a tough routine.

Only had 5 syns and 1 lots of HE's.

calzone · 10/05/2018 22:18

I will tag you on the other group guineapigs......

raisedbyguineapigs · 10/05/2018 22:28

Thanks! Smile if only I knew what that meant I'll look out for the other thread!

mayathebee · 11/05/2018 09:58

My boss noticed yesterday that I had lost weight and said that I looked really slim. Long way to go before that's true but it's really motivating when someone who doesn't know you're on a diet sees a change.

Groovee · 11/05/2018 14:41

I was at a burlesque promoting event and we got chucked out despite having everything in order.

A few of us had a go on a health check thingy and 3 times it got my weight wrong. It said I'm about a stone less 🤔.

OP posts:
MyGuideJools · 11/05/2018 16:10

thanks basin for your kind words of encouragementSmile
I'm on night shifts at the moment which plays havoc with my meals anyway but I'm going to read my book on Sunday and start again on Monday. will do some meal plans and get back on it
I'm thinking that Monday isn't the best day for weigh in so may change to Tuesday.
I can do this!!

MyGuideJools · 11/05/2018 16:16

grooveeShock can't believe you got chucked out! I got on my scales at home this morning. they are posh digital things and I always put them on the same tile in the kitchen.
I stood on them 4 times and got different readings each time 1-4lb difference!Confused

Groovee · 11/05/2018 16:23

Nor can we @MyGuideJools!! The risk assessments clearly showed what we would be doing and has been agreed for months. My Shiny in his polyester suit was a jobsworth.
