well I'm back from my week in the sun and I tentatively stood on the scales this morning and have gained 6lb which tbh I am ok with considering the amount of food and booze I put awayBlush
I've got a meal out tomorrow but will then get back on plan.
welcome newbies!

Cherrypi · 01/05/2018 07:39

I’m thinking of doing some sp days to shake things up a bit. How many do you do in a week?

BasinHaircut · 01/05/2018 07:55

Jools I bet at least half of that is just bloating and will be gone by next week anyway.

I lost 1.5lbsthis week which technically takes me half a pound below target. I paid and weighed then left and no one mentioned that I’d reached target so I’m not sure if it registered on the system? Would it have told them on the screen when I weighed?

MyGuideJools · 01/05/2018 09:26

basin you're probably right about bloating, I've not had much water!
It definitely should show on the system when you've reached target! How long ago did you tell them your target? have you changed it atall? I would give the consultant a ring. well done on the loss!!

Groovee · 01/05/2018 09:30

I missed one week that someone had reached target because it doesn't actually tell you. It just tells you the PAT further down the screen.

I'd message your consultant and ask x

I fell off the wagon a fair bit this week after a disastrous day ended with a kfc and then things snowballed for a few days.. i tried to pull it back as much as i could but wasn't hopeful before weigh in today, however i've still somehow managed to lose 1lb! So it might not be much but i'm really happy lol! 1 more lb to go and i'll get my half stone, should get my bronze body magic next week too :)

Groovee · 01/05/2018 19:34

Lost 2lb! I've gone from half below target to 2.5 below. Need to try and maintain this week!

Wow Groovee - nice to have breathing space?!
How many pounds is a range? I just have a target weight. When does the range get set? Is it when you hit target?

Groovee · 01/05/2018 20:03

You get 3lbs above and below your target weight. Finding it stressful finding the way to maintain.

Thanks guys yes I will message my consultant and ask. It’s definatley on here as last time I was there she said ‘ohh only 1lb to target’

I don’t need everyone to clap me or anything, just bought hey might acknowledge it and give some info on maintaining/go through how often to WI etc

namechanger14 · 01/05/2018 20:57

Hello can i join you? ive been doing slimming world for a number of weeks (17th weigh in on thursday) and I have lost 1st 13.5lb.

I'm a bit confused as I'm having mixed results despite not doing anything different. I know I put on 1.5lb easter but that was because I stuffed my face like a pig, but other than that I eat the same week in, week out but my loses are up and down like a yo-yo and I have maintained twice. My first week I lost 2.5lb but then the week after I lost 5lb, then week 3 I lost 2lb. Last week I'd lost a massive 7.5lb and although this has been put down to being in bed with a fever for 2 days surely I couldn't have lost 7.5lb of water (sweat)?

My consultant is a sweetie but she's very busy and there's never any time to talk through stuff with her.

Would appreciate any advice
xx

BasinHaircut · 01/05/2018 21:09

name weight loss isn’t usually entirely linear and so what you have described sounds absolutely great to me, keep going!

BasinHaircut · 01/05/2018 21:11

Water weight can be much bigger than you realise. I put on 6lb overnight the other week because I ate a Chinese takeaway, was all water retention. Dehydration can work equally the other way and don’t be disheartened if you gain some of that back next week.

namechanger14 · 01/05/2018 21:15

thanks @basin, I wasn't aware I might put some of that back on... I will be happy as long as I've lost the .5lb as then I'll get my 2st award 😁

OwlinaTree · 01/05/2018 21:21

Hi all, you are all doing well! I managed to get back into target range this week and the leader very kindly had let me change my target to 3lb heavier, which is my current weight. I'm feeling good at this weight, and hoping I can maintain better now. Fx.

MumInTheCity · 02/05/2018 07:23

Well done to the losers and those of you who have reached target, I can't imagine how amazing that must feel! Still a long way off for me, though I did lose 2.5lb this week, taking my total to 3st 5lbs. Hoping for my 3.5 stone award next week.

Groovee · 02/05/2018 07:32

Well done @MumInTheCity

Well done Mum. Lost 1.5lbs last night. Trying some sp days this week to see what they’re like and if I can get to the heady heights of a 2lb loss. Can I have turkey mince burgers and bass fish fillets do you think? Excited about a lunch with the extra hexb.

StarlaPriest · 02/05/2018 07:38

Namechanger If you were in bed for a few days unwell you might not have been eating as much? If that's the case then soome of that weight 'lost' could be the erm, physical weight of the food/waste in your system? My consultant said this to me after i'd been ill once x

Welcome Goldensunnydays and anyone else that's joined that i'venot seen yet x

Well done losers and maintainers, and better luck this week for you if you've struggled recently, stay strong you can do this! Xx

OwlinaTree · 02/05/2018 08:33

Well done mum

MabelStark · 02/05/2018 18:49

Ah thanks Groovee that makes it clearer. Well after last weeks -3 I wasn't expecting a good loss but I lost -3.5! Honestly there's no rhyme or reason to weight loss. You just have to get in with it and hope for the best. ☺️
