New thread to see in 2018. Everyone welcome.
Having lost 4st in 2017... I'm looking at target by Valentine's Day if possible.
Look forward to welcoming everyone back and welcome to those embarking on their journey x

Hi all. Am back and ready to focus on getting back to target. DH and I have been taking a break from TTC but we're back on that now too.
Currently sitting exactly 1 stone above the top of target range, 1 stone 3 lbs above target itself. Want to get there by, ideally, my birthday (mid-February).
I am about to meal plan for the week, then head to the supermarket while I'm still feeling inspired. (And for those of you seeking inspiration, my current fabulous consultant is in this month's magazine, starting at page 10).

Tiredtimster, in February 2017 I was you, except I was 53 not 43.
I'm 5' 3" tall and weighed 15 stone 2 1/2 lb.
Since then I've lost 1 1/2 stones which has made a huge difference to my wellbeing. I'm a slow loser by most people's standards but I've had some health issues this last year so I'm happy so long as the trend is downwards.
This is a brilliant thread for giving encouragement.

Tiredtimster, I hope it goes ok today. Take a deep breath and walk through those doors. It's the beginning of an incredible journey.
I joined SW just under 13 weeks ago and have lost 1 and a half stones. Like you, I'm only 5'3, and weighed 15 stone 11 lb when I jumped on their scales. Stay to group tonight and you walk away feeling so motivated! You'll feel even better when you go for your first weigh in and find out that you've lost!!👍🏼
Let us know how you get on x

I want to lose about five stone too - don’t have the meetings as I’m in the Channel Islands, but have a lot of literature on the plan - free foods / a and b and then syn everything else.
I start Sunday
I lost five stone in 2014 doing Atkins but lost my gallbladder then put it all back on
1st goal - lose 20 pounds by the end of March (birthday)

Sillysausage, I had 7 stone to lose when I first started SW. It seems quite daunting at first doesn’t it. Like Groovee said, do it in half stones, younget an award after each one, so aim for each award.
It took my 14 months to get to target, you can do it if you really want it.
ALemonyPea · 04/01/2018 19:25
It come off quite steady. I lost 7lb my first week, then was steady between 1-2 lb a week. During July/August, I’m not entirely sure what happened, but I managed to lose just over 2 stone in that time. The last stone was the hardest, I had an operation in that time as well, but worth sticking with, even though I nearly gave up a few times.
I’ve maintained quite well since getting to target in June. Only been out of my range twice, one holiday and another operation, but found it easy to get back into though. I’m probably out of range atm, but it has been Christmas.

Hi all! I went back tonight for the first time since before Christmas and have put on 1 1/2 lb which I'm pleased with considering my humungous alcohol drenched 10 days or so over Christmas and my complete inaction! I'm glad I went. I was feeling really demotivated and fed up, but now I feel all motivated again. Lots of crappy stuff going on at home, so I'm using SW as my distraction and an hour out of the house every week!
larry55 · 04/01/2018 20:31
I have been doing sw for many years and my weight has gone up and down. Just before Christmas I got within half a pound of what I had set as my target - 10 stone - I am 5ft 3in but put on 3 1/2 lbs over Christmas so 4lbs to go.
I have lost 3 stone altogether and much improved my diabetes. I have decided to join you to get to my target hopefully by the end of January.

Evening all. @Groovee your dinner looks delicious! I made the SW Beans and Rice Burritos with Egg wraps and it was a bit underwhelming to be honest. Bit flavourless. Think I might experiment with making the egg wraps with beef and rice burritos instead, but at that point it seems like I might as well just have chilli without the stodgy egg wrap.
@tweetypie30 that's annoying about the group. Are you going to eat on plan before Tuesday?
Well done to all who are being weighed in this week and finding they haven't gained too much!
I made myself a weight loss chart today, to cross off the lbs to my target. I'm hoping the visual taped to the wardrobe door, next to the mirror, will help me keep motivated. Hoping to be at least 10lbs down by our anniversary at the beginning of Feb.
