New thread to see in 2018. Everyone welcome.

Having lost 4st in 2017... I'm looking at target by Valentine's Day if possible.

Look forward to welcoming everyone back and welcome to those embarking on their journey x

I saw some weird rice stuff made from noodles in the supermarket. It is made by a company called barenaked (you need to be careful typing that into google). It wasn't listed on SW website. Has anyone tried it?

boats16 · 22/02/2018 22:29

:-)

BlooBagoo · 23/02/2018 10:06

Another NSV, looked out my lighter coat for spring (whenever that wants to join us) and tried it on, and it's loose. It's never been loose on me, when I bought it it was tight around my belly (but was the largest size they did in the shop), then I gained so much weight that last year I couldn't fasten it up at all (it's a zip & popper fastening). Incredibly happy with that!

Starting a full SP day today and hoping to keep it up as much as possible in the next couple of weeks to see how that goes for me.

One thing I wondered though, I know you can't have free yogurts on SP days but could you have ones with syns? It seems pretty unclear over that. (Not that I have either kind of yogurt here anyway but was just something I was wondering about.)

Littlepig8834 · 23/02/2018 11:27

Was my first weigh in last night and I've lost 6lbs! Was not expecting that as I've never been a big loser.
Hoping for a 1lb next week as would love to get my half stone award.
Well done to all others on their losses and NSV!

Flutterby81 · 23/02/2018 12:04

Well done little pigs thas a great loss also well done bloobagoo on your nsv Smile

Groovee · 23/02/2018 12:22

Great NSV @BlooBagoo.

You have have the Arla protein yoghurts on an SP day but not normal yoghurts.

NSV for me. Got a Cookie Monster top last year in Port Adventura and it fits well now. I bought a medium but obviously in Spain that means a difference in sizing. So happy as I love it.

Well done little pig!

Thanks Groovee, I'll look for those. Just wasn't sure as it says to enjoy your syns as normal but didn't know if even the synned ones had a free food allowance of some kind.

boats16 · 23/02/2018 12:42

Just been reading through this, I was on right at the beginning of the thread - had joined SW as I had to lose weight for my health, but didn't expect it to work, I'm bad at diets (why I'm so fat).

Well, I've stuck to the plan and Wednesday night got my 2stone certificate, and I've been Slimmer of the Month twice!! - thats since 8th January!

I have more than 10 stone still to lose, and have hidden in baggy clothes for so long that I'm not really feeling any thinner yet. I got my dd1 to take a "before" picture for me, but can't face looking at it yet.

I'm doing it along with my dh, who is finding it hard - harder than me! But he got his stone award, was SOTW and said he felt his work trousers were a little bit looser.

I'm still shocked that it is working. I'm utterly determined to see this through!

boats16 · 23/02/2018 16:08

Thanks everyone [:wee:]

boats16 · 23/02/2018 16:09

Brilliant weegie!

I’ve started doing the sas form on sw online as it’s very simple to do and keeps me on track.

B.....eggs and plum tomatoes
L....pasta with prawns and courgettes and quark.
Carrots and grapes
D....probably leftovers from the week with salad

Cherrypi · 23/02/2018 18:12

Well done Weegie.

Is it best to avoid artificial sweeteners if I can or does it make no difference?

boats16 · 23/02/2018 18:52

Well done weegiemum🖒

MumInTheCity · 23/02/2018 19:08

Congrats to all the losers and thank you for the birthday wishes. I did quite well today I think, went out for a birthday lunch with friends, had a grilled chicken shish kebab with rice and salad, didn't eat the sauce or the flatbread that came with it. Just drank Diet Coke. Everyone else had amazing looking desserts after but I resisted!

Littlepig8834 · 23/02/2018 21:08

Well done Weegie, that's fab!

BlooBagoo · 23/02/2018 21:21

Well done Weegiemum, that's amazing! :D

Happy birthday muminthecity :)

Cherrypi - it's up to you, different people say different things. I can't have artificial sweeteners in drinks so I just avoid them and any recipe using them I use sugar instead and syn it. I'm also one of the weirdos who won't use light spread (butter all the way) or Fry Light (I use spray oil and syn it instead) though. Wink

Cherrypi · 24/02/2018 18:33

Thanks. I think I’ll keep them low for now and leave me somewhere to rebel too when I get bored. This way if eating is really making me think about how I eat. I swapped to semi skimmed milk from whole milk but I think I just use more of it in coffee.

Groovee · 24/02/2018 19:50

Made pinch of Nom's Cuban Beef tonight for tea. Very yummy.

Then made Cheesy Garlic Pizza for watching Ant and Dec. Cheese garlic pizza. Uses your HE A & B. WW wrap. Garlic purée, 55g of Morrison’s saver mozzarella!

So yummy. Also had a malteasers bunny which was 8 syns. But so worth it.
