A brand new thread for 2016.....:)

For old and new members alike....please join in and post food plans, meal ideas, how you use syns, weight losses and gains, how you feel.

I started exactly a year ago on 4 January 2015.
I weighed 14st 3lbs and was a size 16. Bloated and uncomfortable, I was mortified when I saw the scales.
In week 1, I lost 9lbs which has motivated me ever since.
I currently weigh 11st 3.5lbs and just missed my 3 stone certificate at Xmas. Put on 2lbs last week and not really expecting a loss this week but I want to get to 11 stone and then re set my target to 10 stone 7lbs.

I have gone down to a comfortable size 12 and even wore a size 10 Fat Face dress yesterday.

So, let's do this.

I feel quite excited. SW has definitely changed my life......:)

Thanks blondie

I need to get back on plan I'm making two soups, leek and potato and butternut squash and chilli. Snowy here today I've realised that I tend to link situations to food. Snow means hot chocolate and biscuits. Ridiculous really so I'm trying to substitute those things for nice warm soup! and not think about floating marshmallows!!

blondiep14 · 17/01/2016 11:13

Soup and croutons butt! Almost the same...

calzone · 17/01/2016 12:12

Buttwing, you can have an options light for 2.5 syns plus 20 mini marshmallows for 1 syn......

emwithme · 17/01/2016 14:09

JOEYDOESNTSHAREFOOD · 17/01/2016 15:55

B- weetabix
L- potato wedges and Mayo. Rubbish nutrition wise- but perfect for what I fancied at the time.
D- roast chicken, pigs in blankets, cauliflower, green beans, mushrooms and gravy. No roasties on account of having the wedges for lunch.

Weigh in tomorrow, expecting to lose about 1lb. Having done low carb before, when the weight just FELL off, this way seems ridiculously slow. However, I'm hoping that by the time I'm done the way of eating will be so bedded in, I won't fall back into old habits.

SW 14st
CW 13st 7lbs
GW 11st 7lbs

overitalready · 17/01/2016 17:21

D - I have a SW quiche in the oven, which I'm planning on having with lots of lovely salad!

knowler · 17/01/2016 18:22

Evening everyone! Just checking in after a couple of days. I've been on plan for the last few days - weighed yesterday and am 12st1lbs - that's officially a 6lb loss in 12 days! Going to stick to Saturday weigh-ins from now on, and weigh weekly.

Been very naughty today and only had one meal - just wasn't really hungry - but it was a delicious dinner so I thought I'd share! Split a Warburton Thin (5syns) and topped with chicken (1.5syns for Maggi seasoning sheet), onions, mushrooms, HexA cheddar and 1tbsp of red pesto (2.5syns). Served with wedges, tomatoes and peppers grilled in cajun seasoning. SO GOOD!

Have also baked some egg muffins, cooked another chicken breast for lunch in a salad tomorrow and done a meal plan for the week, along with the weekly shop. Hoping that all of the above will lead to another good loss this week! Am hoping to make it to 11st for the second week of March as it's my birthday then but it's going to be hard work...

BasinHaircut · 17/01/2016 20:02

Well done wine!

I'm aiming for 11st by 2nd week in March and that's my birthday too!

BasinHaircut · 17/01/2016 20:03

Posted too soon....

I'm going away for the weekend though so will probably gain a few pounds back Grin

EmilyK83 · 17/01/2016 20:05

My SW quiche from tonight, with a HUGE pile of salad!

Made up the quiche recipe...

  • cooked up thinly sliced onions, green pepper, chopped bacon and chopped mushrooms - enough to line the base of a 20cm flan tin - with a little salt, pepper and chilli powder till soft.
  • put it in a flan tin sprayed with frylight
  • spread some fat free cottage cheese over the top
  • beat 6 large eggs in a bowl with salt, pepper, basil, oregano and mint, and poured on top of the quiche
  • baked in a 180 degree oven for 40 mins till golden brown on top, then left to set for 15 mins out of the oven.

Made 4 portions - and it's so, so good!
