A brand new thread for 2016.....:)

For old and new members alike....please join in and post food plans, meal ideas, how you use syns, weight losses and gains, how you feel.

I started exactly a year ago on 4 January 2015.
I weighed 14st 3lbs and was a size 16. Bloated and uncomfortable, I was mortified when I saw the scales.
In week 1, I lost 9lbs which has motivated me ever since.
I currently weigh 11st 3.5lbs and just missed my 3 stone certificate at Xmas. Put on 2lbs last week and not really expecting a loss this week but I want to get to 11 stone and then re set my target to 10 stone 7lbs.

I have gone down to a comfortable size 12 and even wore a size 10 Fat Face dress yesterday.

So, let's do this.

I feel quite excited. SW has definitely changed my life......:)

tabulahrasa · 15/01/2016 11:57

"You can do baked oats without fruit, I always put it on raw after, am buggered if I am synning sodding fruit!"

I like raspberries in it though...so I decided pancakes as I'd not miss them then, lol.

Pisghetti · 15/01/2016 13:03

Well done losers! I maintained which is fine as I was expecting a gain and also means I get a free class as a club 10 thing.... Which also means I've been pissing about for the last ten weeks and I'm no further forward! It's my birthday today and I'm having the night off so I'm aiming for no worse than a maintain this week and then I'm on it. I'm only about half a stone from goal. This is the point where I often lose my way. Anyways....
B - egg muffins
S - arla protein pot (nice ! But need to check Syns) 2 x hifi bars HeB)
L - baked potato with lentil dahl
D - partaaaaay!

Hi all, congratulations to the losers :) There were a few comments a while ago on what to have for an Indian takeaway but I can't find them. I'm guessing a biryani might be a decent choice or tandoori chicken? Basically one of the drier dishes and no naan (Gutted about this as I love naans, but v they are massive in syns).

deli1976 · 15/01/2016 15:23

Sp day for me today.. anybody else doing this?

maygirl · 15/01/2016 16:41

Happy birthday pisghetti!
knowler I always choose king prawn or chicken shashlick as it comes with grilled veg and a salad or a steamed spicy fish dish .No naan but I do have a poppadom usually.

I was doing an SP day but just had grapes blueberries and a Muller so am not anymore. My meals have been SP though.
B beans on heB toast, tomatoes
Lunch on the run, hardboiled eggs, raw carrot, tomato, satsuma, 2 hi fi, was heB2 but now will count as 6 syns

HeA milk in coffees

deli1976 · 15/01/2016 16:45

KittyOShea · 15/01/2016 16:50

L- pea and ham soup, fruit, hi fi (3 syns)
Snack- ryvita (3 syns) and smoked salmon
D- mallons sausages (1 and a half syns) spuds, turnip and green beans.

blondiep14 · 15/01/2016 17:06

Just having the chicken/prawn noodle SW meal for dinner - it's really quite spicy! The box does indicate this but I didn't realise til I got it out for dinner!

emwithme · 15/01/2016 17:22

Congratulations to all the losers!

SP day today:

Brunch: Bacon, scrambled eggs, beans, mushrooms. Tassimo cappuccino (2.5 syns)
Coffee while doing shopping in Waitrose (HEA)
Snack: 3 satsumas, apple.
Dinner: Salmon, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots. 1/2 syn muller yoghurt, frozen.
Snack: Hifi bars (HEB)

tabulahrasa · 15/01/2016 17:34

I do the occasional SP day, but, I actually really struggle with them as I don't eat meat, rarely eat fish and I don't like things like cauliflower...so no cauliflower rice.

I tend to have soup and salad with eggs, it's ok once a week, but I couldn't do it for longer than a day at a time.

calzone · 15/01/2016 17:45

Arla protein pots are only 1 syn and blummin lovely.

Please excuse Oriana for a moment while we have words......

BasinHaircut · 15/01/2016 19:43

Ohh that pizza looks good emily.

Which wraps count as HEXB?

BasinHaircut · 15/01/2016 19:44

And calzone do you have a recipe for that chicken? Looks delicious.

Akire · 15/01/2016 19:46

Pizza looks fab, it makes cheese look good too. Who have thought 30g of cheese was so small! Hardly even worth dirting the grater for to make it look but more

BasinHaircut · 15/01/2016 19:49

Had a minor slip today in the form of a couple of bites of the pizza that I made with DS because it looked delicious and I've had no cheese for almost 2 weeks!!!! But I'm making that pastitso thingy tomorrow and I'm going to bloody enjoy it!

Need to work out some different breakfasts so I don't need milk every day. Do I need milk for overnight oats?

overitalready · 15/01/2016 19:53

B - Coffee

L - Repeat of yesterday

D - Bolognaise, pasta, cheese and salad

L - Mini twirl

EmilyK83 · 15/01/2016 19:54

Enjoy the pastitsio basin!!

I used the Weight Watchers wraps, I think the BFree ones count as HexB as well...

That was 40g of cheese, I buy the reduced fat stuff so I get more of it Grin

EmilyK83 · 15/01/2016 19:57

Also...re: breakfast ideas...what about scrambled eggs? I beat mine with a little bit of fat free natural yoghurt, means they still taste nice and creamy but without using any HexA allowance! Or omelettes...boiled eggs...beans on toast?

mutley1 · 15/01/2016 20:04

Which sausages do people recommend and can they be bought in the usual supermarkets?
