A brand new thread for 2016.....:)

For old and new members alike....please join in and post food plans, meal ideas, how you use syns, weight losses and gains, how you feel.

I started exactly a year ago on 4 January 2015.
I weighed 14st 3lbs and was a size 16. Bloated and uncomfortable, I was mortified when I saw the scales.
In week 1, I lost 9lbs which has motivated me ever since.
I currently weigh 11st 3.5lbs and just missed my 3 stone certificate at Xmas. Put on 2lbs last week and not really expecting a loss this week but I want to get to 11 stone and then re set my target to 10 stone 7lbs.

I have gone down to a comfortable size 12 and even wore a size 10 Fat Face dress yesterday.

So, let's do this.

I feel quite excited. SW has definitely changed my life......:)

yesterday

breakfast
2 slices toast, spinach, mushrooms

lunch-same+ 2 scrambled eggs

dinner=spinach with plain yoghurt+ 3 kiwi fruit

woke up with oral thrush and gut pain. i blame the yoghurt

What is everyone planning for lunch today? I'm trapped under a sleeping baby and thinking of my options!

Breakfast this morning was 2 slimming world syn free sausages and 2 egg scrambled egg. Getting wholemeal bread and mushrooms today so should make breakfast marginally more interesting!

Oh aye, yesterday...

4 hifi bars (b choice and 6 syns)
An apple
Mini meringue (1 syn)
Coffees with milk (a choice)

Chinese take away...veg in black bean sauce and boiled rice (7.5 syns)

😂 that's appalling written down, lol, in my defence I have 2 part time jobs and yesterday they overlapped and I literally had no time from 8.30am to 10pm.

I'm off today, so...

Cooked breakfast/lunch brunch time thing, quorn sausages, quorn bacon, beans, egg, tomatoes and mushrooms.

Coffee and milk (a choice) and I haven't decided what dinner is yet.

Plan for today:
B: bran flakes (He), milk (1/2 He), lemon squash
L: leftover spaghetti bolognese, babybel (1/2 He), cherry tomatoes, diet coke
D: mince, beans, potato wedges (1.5 syns)
Snacks: apple, clementine, yoghurt (1 syn)

I'm taking my Brownies to the panto tonight, so I'll probably have one of the little pots of ice cream. I think they are around 11 syns, but not sure.

Weigh in last night and I'm 1lb up since Christmas Eve. Really happy with that as I have not been anywhere near on plan up until Monday.

Today:
B - overnight oats HeB
S - yogurt, apple, banana (feeling hungry)
L - homemade tomato and lentil soup
D - we're eating out - probably mushroom risotto (made with cheese which I'm banking as HeA)

really annoyed to have gained this week, despite being 100% on plan. Angry

But I have had a lot of salty and processed foods this week, so maybe the excess salt has given me fluid retention (inserts hopeful emoji).

Commisurated with a bag of cheese and onion crisps before spanking myself - now eating tuna salad!

That's one thing I have learned so much being in the social team and weighing the group each week that you really can't tell anyone who much anyone weighs by looking at them!

I was a size 22 at 20st 3lb and 5'4" but at that weight I have heard of women from size 20 to 26.

I gained 1lb yesterday which I am not too disappointed with. A loss would have been nice but realistically I had what I earned including New Years out.

Done my food shopping today and eaten really well so feeling good and positive

Got DS2's 6th birthday this weekend which will throw up some bumps in the road. Aiming to eat on plan and hope that outweighs the wine!

Think I'm going to have another SP day today.

Brunch: Bacon, scrambled eggs, baked beans, mushrooms
Tea: Iceland meatballs. HEA cheese. Apple, orange, plums, hifi bars.
Dinner: Tuna steak, kale, cauliflower not fluffy , cabbage red not green, carrots.
Snack: Hifi bars.

My weigh in this morning (first one since Christmas Eve) was +2.5lb. Only one person in the whole group actually lost anything lol.

I've had a terrible day - lots of bad news from friends and family, I'm tired and stressed out. My eating has gone to pot as a result - oven chips for lunch plus lots of snacking but was within syns until I succumbed to a cookie while watching DD1s swimming lesson and then ordered a take out (chicken dhansak and plain rice so low syn but still using syns I don't have left). I'm not worrying about it but it occurred to me that before I joined SW I would have eaten all of that and more just on a usual Friday. Back on plan tomorrow after a long sleep.

Busy busy day but its weekend now and I find it alwayd easier to stay on plan during weekends.

Today:

B - Chicken salad sandwich with no mayo (hexb + 4 syns for bread and 3 syns for margarine) and a white americano (hexa)
L - golden veg rice pouch (2,5 syns) + 2 bananas
D - chicken, potatos and veg

Would not have had the sandwich normally but I was late and kitchen was mess so bought one from this little shop near work. I had my lunch around 3 as I had such a busy day! Normally have it at 12.

So my whole day then...

The breakfast and coffees.

Tassimo latte at a friends 4.5 syns

Dinner was chilli with added speed, rice, salad and quark with garlic.

I've also had grapes and an apple strudel muller light.

In a bit while watching TV I'm going to have

2 alpen lights (b choice)

Tomato snap crisp/corn snack things 3 syns

And 7.5 syns worth of mikados and jelly belly beans.

L - wrap hexb with babybel lights hexa and some ham. Cherry toms and celery. A cherry Muller with sliced banana and two mini meringues 2 syns
D - KFauxC with peas and sweet potato fries. 3 syns for ketchup. Grapes for pud.

I feel like food has totally taken over my day after doing the shopping and then cooking most of the evening but don't think I will have to do much for the next few days now.

B; Toast and coffee
L; Salmon steaks with salad leaves
Snacks; Loads of fruit
D; Pea and Ham soup (delicious!)
LD; Chilli beef and egg fried rice, SW style

I am such a good wife. I cooked DH pie and chunky chips for dinner (he doesn't eat fish, and it was no issue to stick it in the oven while I was cooking my food).

Obviously there was the usual 3 chip cooking tax. I was intrigued and wondered how many syns there were, so weighed the three chips and after I'd burnt my fucking palate on one of them looked it up. Bloody hell. 100g of these chips are 5 syns, and 3 chips weighed 35 grams. 1 1/2 syns for three bastard fucking delicious chips.

I've had another SP day today.

Breakfast: Eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and fat free cottage cheese all mixed together and baked in oven (I guess it was a SW quiche, really). Tea with dash of milk (1/2 syn)

Mid-morning: Apple; coffee with sweetener and dash of milk (1/2 syn)

Lunch: Cajun-spiced sprats with mixed leaf and beetroot salad

Mid-afternoon: Coffee with sweetener and milk (1/2 syn)

Dinner: SW burger made with extra-lean beef mince and topped with Cheddar (HEA) served with wholemeal roll (HEB), gherkins, SW coleslaw, and SW super sauce (from 'Fakeaways' book - 1 syn)

Just now I had Tesco hot chocolate (2 syns) and will probably have a Muller Light Chocolate Fix (5 syns) in a minute.

Crap food yesterday😐 Started well,
Breakfast: fruit and oats and soya milk
Lunch okay: yo sushi - fish, rice seaweed only
Even dinner fine: left over sticky chicken 3 syns and cauli cous cous from yesterday with sugar snaps
BUT then I ate my body weight in chocolate on a late shift at work. WHY!?!?
As it at least 10 quality street and mini curly wurly and a fudge🙁
Must do better today!

Yesterday I had bacon and eggs for breakfast, fruit for lunch and a beautiful lentil dhal with chicken breast for tea. Two breadsticks and apples and oranges as snacks.
