A brand new thread for 2016.....:)

For old and new members alike....please join in and post food plans, meal ideas, how you use syns, weight losses and gains, how you feel.

I started exactly a year ago on 4 January 2015.
I weighed 14st 3lbs and was a size 16. Bloated and uncomfortable, I was mortified when I saw the scales.
In week 1, I lost 9lbs which has motivated me ever since.
I currently weigh 11st 3.5lbs and just missed my 3 stone certificate at Xmas. Put on 2lbs last week and not really expecting a loss this week but I want to get to 11 stone and then re set my target to 10 stone 7lbs.

I have gone down to a comfortable size 12 and even wore a size 10 Fat Face dress yesterday.

So, let's do this.

I feel quite excited. SW has definitely changed my life......:)

I'm drowning in water! Trying to get in 2L of water today and I feel totally awash. I'm surprised there isn't a sloshing sound when I move.

Put dinner in the slow cooker. Braising beef with 5-spice and tossed in loads of speed veg. The fridge is still stuffed with Christmas stuff, but since DH is away perhaps I can subtly remove some things to the bin... I'm about to spend 9.5 syns on a beetroot and feta salad to go along with my quiche, hope it's worth it!!

emwithme · 06/01/2016 13:36

Yesterday was another on-plan day

Weigh in is tomorrow morning.

Today's food:

Brunch: Bacon, eggs, mushrooms, baked beans, tomatoes. Tassimo cappuccino (2.5 syns)
Mid-afternoon snack: Cheese (HEA), pickled onions, beetroot, cherry tomatoes. Yoghurt, apple, orange.
Dinner: Spaghetti bolognaise.
Late night snack: Hifi bars (HEB)

Buttwing · 06/01/2016 13:43

Hi all its good to see this thread nice and busy!!

B-banana

L-shepards pie and beans

D-sw beef and bean chilli and rice

I can really recommend the beef and bean chilli it's a firm favourite in the buttwing house, step kids request it when they are coming over for dinner!

I've just been and done a big aldi shop and I'm going to sit and meal plan tonight I find it so much easier if I've got meal ideas written down

WineAndIntrigue · 06/01/2016 14:28

Looks like another day on plan today!

B - forgot to bring any.
L - Jacket potato, beans, salad and HexA cheddar.
D - Cajun chicken breast, potato wedges, corn on the cob and green veggies.
Snacks - Fruit and a Muller Light.

My main problem at the moment is craving all the leftover Christmas chocolate after dinner, so have been buying the vanilla and chocolate Muller Lights. Not quite the same thing tho...

BasinHaircut · 06/01/2016 15:22

Ohh thanks back, that's useful. Appatently a chicken birouani is only 12.5 syns too. Does anyone know if that includes the curry or just the rice/meat?

calzone · 06/01/2016 17:41

On plan today.....

B....fruit and yoghurt
Pear
L.....parsnip soup
Ff yoghurt, 2 tangerines
D....SW burgers, sweet potato chips and coleslaw

Am about to get ready for the bonkers ness of first week back at SW.

Am expecting a gain but that's ok.

Hello all , I have got some left over beef roast to use up tonight and I am struggling to find a recipe that doesn't have load of wine added or butter in the mash .

I will have to go to the shop for veg anyway so all ideas very welcome .

Thank you

BendydickCuminsnatch · 06/01/2016 17:55

FannyFanakapan · 06/01/2016 18:45

howlong, how about stirfry beef and brocolli, with noodles or rice - all free!

Chop ginger, garlic, spring onion and brocolli and stor fry in fry light - add a good tbs of soy sauce and 1/4 tsp sweetner. Slice the beef thin and add. Put a little stock or water in as well, if you like plenty of sauce. Add cooked noodles and chilli if you like at the end. Yum.

FannyFanakapan · 06/01/2016 18:47

me today:

B: Eggs on toast. APple.
L: parsnip soup (1/2) babybel light cheese (2) and some tuna mayo (1). Muller light.
sn: Orange, persimmon
D: Stir fry with noodles, teriyake salmon. Muller with banana and grapes.

Howlongtillbedtime · 06/01/2016 18:51

Thanks for the idea Fanny , I have made a cottage pie type thing but I still have enough beef to do a stir fry tomorrow so will give it a go then .

overitalready · 06/01/2016 18:54

Today :

B - coffee and banana

L - scrambled eggs, beans and toast

D - Meatballs, pasta,mozzarella and salad

S - Apple, pear and Cadbury snack

Round 3 of the couch to 5k went ok this morning as well as any excercise can go at 04.15 I suspect Grin Hate it when I'm doing it, literally hissing at the stupid woman on the app to piss off then I get home and the feeling of achievement is massive..almost addictive even.

cowboylover · 06/01/2016 19:10

Oops I my delight at my 3 lb loss I just posted inAIBU on a random thread!

christyO2990 · 06/01/2016 20:26

Hi all

Just wanting some advice if that's ok, I'm thinking of joining SW this Monday and I was wondering how it is for vegetarians? I don't eat meat or fish, so any advice I would really appreciate.

Wibblewobble100 · 06/01/2016 20:54

I think there are a few vegetarians who'll share soon Christy! Its definitely doable - lots of eggs, beans, lentils chickpeas and quorn, but I'd imagine it could get repetitive quickly.

Buttwing · 06/01/2016 21:05

2 and a 1/2 off yay!! I'm really pleased only another 3 to go to get rid of Xmas damageConfused

christyO2990 · 06/01/2016 22:03
