The overnight oats .....

I used porridge oats with a Yeo Valley fat free Greek yoghurt - it's a little bit thicker than Muller Lights so I did add a couple of spoonfuls of water. It was perfect, not too wet. You could add cinnamon, honey, banana, grated apple ... Whatever you fancy really. I loved mine!

Hi all, I started SW online last week. Can anyone tell me if the Iceland Syn free sausages are worth buying?

FannyFanakapan · 02/07/2015 09:32

Mim, I can recommend the HECK chicken italia sausages at 1/2 syn each - Im not a big sossie fan, but these are really tasty. Chipolata size tho.

Can I just say Ive moved up to the third notch on my belt - couldn't actually get to the first notch when I started! Grin

GirlsonFilm · 02/07/2015 09:36

Hello

Can I join, I'm 44, 5'7" and starting weight 16st 9lb Shock, I joined last week and lost 3.5lbs, although I know I should have lost more as it all went a bit pear-shaped over the weekend.

So today's food:

B - Veg omelette - 2xeggs a, toms, spinach, peppers and spring onions. Raspberries
L - Chicken Salad - all free but the low fat coleslaw which is 3.0 syns, 2x peaches
D - Salad Nicose - Anchovies (1 syn), Eggs, Tuna, Salad veg, green beans. Olive Oil for dressing (3syns). Melon.
H Ex- S/Skim Milk for coffee.

I've realised I need to meal plan or I eat badly, so I 'm thinking about the rest of the week already.

Here's hoping for my first 1/2 stone sticker this week!

FannyFanakapan · 02/07/2015 09:45

hello Girlsonfilm, welcome! I started at a similar weight to you, and have lost 3 stone in 6 months, so its do-able! Meal planning is a good idea for the early days as you will fret less about food if you know what you will be eating later! Build in your treats and snacks too.

GirlsonFilm · 02/07/2015 09:49

emwith my mum's tried most the Iceland SW meals and had the same reaction as you

bimandbam · 02/07/2015 12:46

Hello everyone

Room for a little (big) one?

I joined online last week. I like group and went a lot last year. 18 month old toddler is a 1 man wrecking crew though so it was getting stressful sitting there. And we mived ans I can't find a group locally I like.

I weighed 14st last week. At 5ft 5in I am massively overweight. I have lost 4lb this week doing mostly sp meals. Just about finished bfing too so hoping that helps as well.

Does anyone else do sp regularly? I found ut easier than I thought but didn't have the B choices as I am really trying to low carb. Or avoid wheat anyway. I make much healthier choices if I don't have bread at all and pasta also makes me hungrier. Enjoyed most of my meals but we have been bbqing all week so was easy.

Going to reintroduce potatoes (new) and rice a bit this week but leave off bread and pasta.

Meals for today are

B. A banana (only f not s I know but couldn't face another apple)

L. Poached salmon, salad and some free dressing

D. Lamb chops, new potatoes and either salad or veg.

Syns will be saved for wine. Might have some strawbs and raspberries later in with a muller.

A choice for coffee.

dogood · 02/07/2015 13:09

Hi All, I'm on day two of my diet with a stone to lose. Just wanted to ask you good folk how many Muller light yoghurts can I have a day??? I have two at the moment but wondered could I up it just one more?????

emwithme · 02/07/2015 13:24

So...weigh in this morning...and I lost 3 1/2 LBS Grin Grin Grin

So VERY happy with that. I've come home and treated myself Hmm to some pineapple cottage cheese (3 syns for a potful!) with my lunch salad, rather than the plain stuff.

IseeSwansea · 02/07/2015 14:57

My third day and its obvious to me that prepping is key to my success! I'm not widely known for my organisational skills, but I am doing my level best to think about whats available to eat and making some sort of plan.

I went to Lidl yesterday and bought a hot smoked salmon fillet….oh just divine. I had it for lunch with left over quinoa salad from yesterday, extra beetroot and tomatoes with a dressing made from half tsp horseradish and a little ff greek yoghurt.

Breakfast was a simple porridge with almond milk and strawberries.

Dinner tonight is grilled salmon fillet (I love it) with pea puree and possibly home made fries.

Im saving some syns for now, I've got a party to go to Saturday night and its highly unlikely I'll avoid alcohol. We are out for lunch on Sunday….I'll do my best.

Weigh in is Tuesday and I want to see a good result!

LaurieFairyCake · 02/07/2015 16:28

LaurieFairyCake · 02/07/2015 18:25

dogood - eat more food Smile

The list of free food is loooong and tasty - you shouldnt be hungry

On a separate note some days ARE hungrier than others

I eat loads some days, days like yesterday with the heat - not so much

Added to which your appetite will adjust

I am eating less calories overall than I did 9 weeks ago because I am more satisfied

But the short answer is eat more food (salmon/eggs/beef - protein) Grin

dogood · 02/07/2015 18:53

Yes, you are right, not a lot of protein in todays food at all. Thanks :)

bimandbam · 02/07/2015 21:15

I did sw on and off.last year and found that if I had bread or cereals at all I was hungry. I am doing the sp plan (or did last week) and found loading up on protein really helped. Tuna salad for lunch kept me going until teatime.

I don't usually eat breakfast when I am not dieting but doing sw made me want it. Because I thought I should. And I always used my b choice. Which leaves less options for the rest of the day. Maybe try and have a yoghurt and some fruit tomorrow or even poached eggs or an omelette if you can face it. But definitely load up in protein at lunch.

GirlsonFilm · 03/07/2015 09:39

Morning all - the sun is shining and it feels like its going to be a good day:

B - 2x eggs scramble and tinned tomatoes
L (on the run) - M&S Chicken fillets and fruit (don't know yet see what looks nice)
D - Chicken Salad - chicken breast marinated in garlic and chilli with new potatoes from the garden, and salad.
All free.

HexA - Milk for coffee

Lets see how we go......

dogood · 03/07/2015 10:30

Bimandbam, thank you :) I will bulk up on protein, I know that it takes longer to digest. I am finding with breads and cereals they fill you up only for a short while. :)

FannyFanakapan · 03/07/2015 12:40

3lb off this week - hurrah - total now a very pleasing 45lb. I want 50lb by the end of July, if not a bit more.

AppleSnapple · 03/07/2015 14:33

Hello, can I join you? I started 2 weeks ago, online... So far have lost 4lb per week, so 8 in total, quite shocked but obviously delighted!

I just wanted to say, I think it was dogood up thread saying she felt hungry- I think starting a new diet just makes you think about food all the time, what you can and can't have. I definitely ate way more than usual for first couple of days, but just made sure it was free stuff. Seems to have worked out ok- it's a great time of year to start as so many things in season and delicious- raspberries, strawberries, baby new potatoes etc yum yum yum!

FannyFanakapan · 03/07/2015 19:34
