L....mushy pea curry on a jacket potato, sweet corn
Melon

D....5 Heck sausages (2.5s), sautéed potatoes, mushy peas

Have had a bath and come to bed.

Have dropped 2 dress sizes from 16-12 and love being slimmer.
Helping out at SW class is helping as I go every week.

Thanks for the congratulations as well. Smile

Am about 11lbs to target but that will take me to 11 stone and I might want to be 10.5 stone. Not sure.

FannyFanakapan · 10/07/2015 13:16

1.5 down, (happy dance)

Thats 46.5lbs.

Trouble is, when you start so large, its difficult to go down a dress size, even after all this loss I can only just squeeze into a size 18, and its not comfortable. I can see the difference tho in my legs especially. Im hoping I will now start to shrink to regualar sizes over the next 6 months. My aim is also to get to 10.5 stone, with an interim on 12 stone.

hstar1995 · 11/07/2015 10:15

1.5 off so got my 2 stone awardGrin so pleased, it's been slow coming off but I suppose slow and steady wins the race

Going over a friends tonight for a sleepover, a few drinks and dominoes so will have to work hard for the rest of the week to make up for it - exercise every day and v.little syns for the rest of the week. Smile

Hello, can I join you all please? I'm on week 4 and am just about settling into it. I still need to check all my HE's and syn values of familiar foods but I've got a few tried and tested dishes now to fall back on. I'm finding it hard to fit with the family though as no one likes the same foods as each other and cooking a different meal for me is an extra pain! I've learned that I need to prepare meals or at least snacks in advance so I'm not too tired to be bothered.

I lost 13 lb in the first 2 weeks, then I had my birthday and put a pound on that week. I only flexi synned one day but didn't push all the S foods that week either, so lesson learned. I'm hoping this week will be more like the first 2 and I'll get my stone ???? Got about another 3 after that - scary to say that though

calzone · 11/07/2015 20:52

Am I the only person who doesn't eat the "right" meal at the "right" time. I'm generally not up until 11 at the earliest (disability and delayed sleep phase issues) so the first meal I tend to eat is a brunchy-lunchy thing (eggs, mushrooms, beans etc). Then I'll have a substantial snack (cereal/toast and cheese/fruit and cheese/yoghurt and berries) mid afternoon, then dinner in the evening. If I haven't had my HEB by nearly-bedtime, I'll have some muesli and yoghurt for dinner.

Today I got up early (9am Grin ) to go and visit a friend half an hour away, who had a mutual friend visiting. Was v nice, sitting in her back garden chatting over coffee.

Today's food:

Brunch: Huevos rancheros (to best mate's recipe) - this served 4:

2 mini tortillas, sliced
Couple of big tomatoes, chopped
Bunch spring onions, chopped
Red pepper, chopped
Some chorizo (I picked mine out cos I don't like it), chopped
Chopped green chili
6 eggs.

Tortilla was fried in a little olive oil (am sure you could use frylight), then the veggies were added and fried off, then the eggs were added and cooked until it was done. Bloody gorgeous and only about 3 syns for 1/4 of it.

Dinner: 2 x slimming world burgers (much nicer than the meatballs), giant salad (leaves, tomato, mushroom), new pots.

Supper: HEB muesli and f/f greek yoghurt, with chopped up apple.

Snacks: 3 x mini babybel lights (HEA) and apple, melon/pineapple pot, nectarine

KittyOShea · 13/07/2015 13:47

Hi Annie

I had lost 10.5 lbs in 3 weeks before hols and am dreading to see what I've put on.

As for tips- make sure you're having loads of speed fruit and veg (don't think pineapple is speed but it is delicious!)

I usually make a speed pea and ham or veg soup for lunches- gets lots of speed in and filling too!

ohthegoats · 13/07/2015 19:46

First week loss 3 1/2 lbs, which doesn't seem much, but I've had butter, wine, chocolate, been out for dinner etc, so even if I ooee a lb a week it's at least sustainable as a life choice.

Maybe a dull question,
Do you eat because you can or because your hungry?
I had scrambled eggs tomato & beans at 9 but had half a bacon sandwich just now. What do you think/do?

hstar1995 · 14/07/2015 11:43

I try to stick to 3 meals a day and a snack in the evening if really hungry, I do sometimes have 2 breakfasts but thats when I go running in the morning - eg, fruit before I go and a slimming world fry up or similar when I get back.

At the beginning, I used to eat free food all the time, and if you're really hungry you're best to eat. with me though, snacking was a big problem and just boredom for me, so I tried having a glass of water and seeing if that helped. I know SW say to never be hungry but part of my weight gain was that I was almost 'scared' to be hungry so I've worked on teaching myself that hunger is actually a normal bodily reaction which doesn't need immediate sorting. Everyone's individual though
