There are lots of SW posts which I love reading but was finding it difficult to remember where to post my weigh in and menus for the day.

Hope no one minds me doing this......Smile

I am doing Dry January and think I have been pretty good this week with my food choices.....

L...2 bread, beans, 2 eggs
D....DH is doing Lebanese and promises it is SW friendly.Smile

So, if you want to do the same.....post and share, otherwise this will be my SW experience.SmileSmile

The LM rosemary and red onion sausages are my favourite, although the Tesco low fat Cumberland are also great at half a syn each.

I've been really good this week but am not feeling very positive about weigh in tomorrow. I've been stuck at half pound losses for a couple of weeks and I'm getting fed up! I've cut my syns down this week and have had no bread again, I've upped my water...we shall see!

Some of your meals sound lovely. I try and cook a SW recipe every night but these are also great inspiration!

calzone · 18/05/2015 21:56

Am getting a bit fed up of all the chopping! GrinGrin

I get in at 4pm and seem to chop fruit and veg and more veg for hours!
Am gonna buy pre chopped veg next week!

That's a great but simple idea calzone - cos I find the SW meals taking more of my time because of all the chopping.

B: Woken up late and had two hashbrowns (9 syns) and beans from work canteen and tea from Costa (HE A for milk)
L: Chickpea, tomato and green bean soup. Fruit salad.
D: Shepherd's pie from SW magazine
Snacks: BeLight crisps (4 syns)

SheHasAWildHeart · 19/05/2015 09:28

HE B! Knew I'd forgotten something - might have some almonds after dinner.

TheBooMonster · 19/05/2015 14:35

Calzone, I have a full size freezer my mum said I'd never need that much freezer space, she was wrong and it's half full of prepared veg, fruit and fresh herbs, I don't think I could cope with the amount of time I'd need for cutting veg if I bought it all fresh, not only that but the veg never goes to waste as you just use what you need and put the rest back in the freezer.

Had a truly demoralising 4lb gain last week, I'd had a couple of take aways but one I'd managed to keep within syns so I was absolutely gutted.

This week's weigh-in was much better, I got a 4.5 lb loss, bringing my total loss to 1lb (which is still pretty gutting after 4 weeks) but I forgot to eat much for the past 3 days, due to being ill with something flulike (thought it was mastitis but we seem to be ok other than a decidedly lumpy sore boob so long as I'm taking paracetamol) and I had a Chinese last night (or what I could eat of it, which wasn't much) which I plan on being my last take away until I get my 1/2 stone award.

I've got three days before I go away for the weekend so I need to be super good at sticking to plan until I go away as I have no idea what's happening about food, though on Saturday night we'll have a buffet so I can pile up crudite type stuff. Today marked my last food diary hand in at group, so I really need to be making a record of what I eat from now on to keep me in line.

Breakfast (though practically lunch by the time we got back) 1 mullerlight, 1 hifi rocky road, 1 hifi double chocolate. (hex b)

Lunch: Jacket potato with beans and 78g of skinny cheddar (2 hex a) and 1 tablespoon of butter (5.5 syns)

Dinner: Cottage pie from the members pack with mixed root veg mash (2 syns) instead of potato, and shoved full of extra speed veg.

In between: 4 satsumas, Quark & highlights (2 syns) chocolate brownie options (2.5 syns) cherry tomatoes & cucumber with tesco healthy living dressing (2 tbsp: 1 syn)

unused: 2 syns and 2 hex a. (breastfeeding)

annielostit · 19/05/2015 17:38

Im having a PMT week - which is not usual as Im going through the menopause.

But when I have PMT, I crave fish. No idea why. SOmeone once suggested iodine deficiency. But given my egg, fish, milk & yoghurt consumption, I doubt it.

SO today has been a fishy day....

L: 2 open face sandwiches (hexB) with tuna mayo (1 syn), baby cucumbers and tomato. Mullerlight.

BlueberryMuffins76 · 19/05/2015 20:22

1lb lost, but that did hit my 2 stone so I was pleased! Am going to cut out bananas and diet coke this week and see if that makes a difference to my slower losses. They don't call bananas natures Mars Bar for nothing!

LaurieFairyCake · 19/05/2015 21:22

Brilliant Blueberry - 2 stone is fab Smile

calzone · 19/05/2015 21:24

1.5 lbs ON after a v naughty week.
Back on track now. Gonna be v strict for a week and really kick (my own) butt into shape.

Wish I liked cooking. Would make this so much easier!

On plus side, people are noticing the loss, mainly around my face. I hadn't really noticed at all, I just see that it's too much fat.

Will catch up on thread tomorrow :)

annielostit · 20/05/2015 06:36

Slimmer, don't be so hard on yourself. It wasn't a naughty week it was a blil into old ways. And we all criticise our selves, we shouldn't.
What are your cooking skills like. Maybe a few quick & easy recipes will help. What things do you like to eat?

SheHasAWildHeart · 20/05/2015 09:32

Calzone - what aisle are the carrot & courgette spaghetti and cauliflower coucous? Thanks.

Today
B: Overnight oats with apple and mango (HE B)
L: Shepherd's pie with quorn and veg (SW recipe) with cheese (HE A) super speed salad of rocket, tomatoes and cucumber
D: Aubergine, spinach and chickpea curry (SW recipe)
Snacks: two boiled eggs, Muller Light and a Mini Delight choc (4 syns)
Hmm leaves me enough to be syn-ful later this evening :)

Slimmerforsummer · 20/05/2015 14:10

Thanks annie.
I suppose can cook I just don't enjoy it. Feels like a waste of time or something.
My meals are usually
Breakfast - porridge with chia (synned) with fruit, some sort of bacon/veg/Egg concoction, or if running late, weetabix with fruit.
Lunch
Baked potato with tuna & boiled egg, beans & cheese, or leftover bolognese & cheese. Sometimes a homemade soup.
Dinner
SW TIkka or sweet pot curry with microwave rice (synned)
Pasta and sauce ( jar - so synned)
Meatballs pasta and sauce
Pasta carbonara ( SW recipie) - that's prob my most elaborate meal ;) )
Steamed chicken, potatoes and veg.

I know I should bulk cook some pasta sauce as we eat it a lot but I really can't get motivated!

Also, on a v positive note, Thos morning the scales showed me a few lbs lighter than I was yesterday morning, so I guess it was water retention or something.

SheHasAWildHeart · 20/05/2015 14:46

By the micobag veg, take a few minutes in the microwave then throw in to the pasta

saradavies415 · 20/05/2015 16:01

Hi shehasawildheart with the carrot spaghetti what will you do with it would you make up your own pasta and mix it in with this and also the cauliflower cous cous what would you do with that would you have them for dinner or lunch and are there any syns as ive seen them and they look quite nice
Any advice would be really appreciated
Thanks

Slimmerforsummer · 20/05/2015 16:14

Love microwave veg! I use it in my omelettes, along with frozen diced onion ( and bacon) zero thought required. My favourite kind of meal ;)

Slimmerforsummer · 20/05/2015 16:15

Sarah I think you use them instead of couscous /noodles. ESP if on an SP day

FannyFanakapan · 20/05/2015 19:12
