There are lots of SW posts which I love reading but was finding it difficult to remember where to post my weigh in and menus for the day.

Hope no one minds me doing this......Smile

I am Calzone and I am 5ft 6'. I joined SW last week and weighed in at 14st 3lbs.
I am doing Dry January and think I have been pretty good this week with my food choices.....

Food today
B......fruit/tea with sk milk
L...2 bread, beans, 2 eggs
D....DH is doing Lebanese and promises it is SW friendly.Smile

So, if you want to do the same.....post and share, otherwise this will be my SW experience.SmileSmile

slimmerforsummer, do not despair! Count your syns as around 30, you get 105 a week, so as long as you dont overdo it the rest of the week and stay under 10 syns you will lose. And poor you with a little one and BF'ing too? Exhausting, so do whatever it takes to get through the day.

Welcome tipsyandTOm! good job on the weight loss. pop in any time.

TipsyandT0m · 14/05/2015 23:00

Thanks for the welcome Fanny!

FannyFanakapan · 15/05/2015 15:32

LaurieFairyCake · 15/05/2015 15:59

Yay! Well done Grin

TipsyandT0m · 15/05/2015 16:49

Well done Fanny

SheHasAWildHeart · 15/05/2015 17:50

Well done Fanny.

I feel slightly demotivated. Been so good with my eating and exercise and measuring everything, checking the SW books, only cooking SW recipes.
On May 2nd I weighed 9 stone 10lb. Today I weigh 9 stone 12lb.
I don't know where this extra 2lbs came from, especially when my waist feels smaller and I can now fit into trousers I couldn't before.

I've measured my waist and will keep an eye on that.
I'm 5 ft 4" so my current BMI is 23.6. If it goes to 25 I will be overweight. I really don't know what happened. I previously weighed myself on a friends scales and today I weighed myself at Boots. Can only hope that one of these scales wasn't working properly!!

FannyFanakapan · 15/05/2015 22:42

SheHasAWildHeart, it could be hormones, it could be the increased exercise (muscle heavier than fat) or fluid retention in joints due to exercise.

Give it another week, and see how you do. Two different scales can be wildly off - pick one and stick with it.

Its friday night and Im off plan Blush

B: 2 toast (heB) with Nutella (4 syns) and banana
Milk in tea - Hex A

L: moroccan beef (1 syn) with rice. Mullerlight. Toffee 2 finger kitkat (5.5 syns)

D: SW chips, peas, vegetarian bake (counting 4)

ANd then it went from bad to worse....

2 sticks of licorice (4 syns); 1 slice bread and butter (5 syns) a giant pancake (11 syns) a glass of wine (4.5 syns) and a packet of pufts (3.5 syns)

So about 42 syns for not much benefit.

SheHasAWildHeart · 16/05/2015 11:08

I am hoping it's a combination of my periods coming up that my weight hasn't gone down.
But Fanny I think I went OTT with syns too after that weigh in! Went to Nando's had half a chicken, peri peri chips, peas and two glasses after Fanta. Total syn city I know but I enjoyed every mouthful :)
Still did my workout when I got home though.

I was a bit off plan (for me) on Friday night with my bottle of wine and 2 packets of Aldi cheese curls (30 syns)

And had the monster hangover on Saturday morning - just the worst, I even feel
still crap this morning at 6am.

So I had to go to a tea party Saturday and I hoped it would be a buffet but alas it was a sit down afternoon tea with a lot of people I don't really know - so I didn't want to look conspicuous by eating nothin. So
I had 3 triangles of a sandwich (salmon and a smear of cream cheese), one mini scone with jam and cream, half a mini eclair, half a jam tart.

And then ate nothing else the rest of the day so was completely starving. A day of only Syns and no other food - 27 so not too awful. There was no way round eating though without looking like a right arse. I missed out on so much cake Sad but ive got 5 and a half stone to lose so right now only 3 weeks in Id rather do that than eat.

I'm going to have a day of eating plenty of free today - my only problem is we're having a birthday party so the only thing I can't avoid is the syns from the lovely burgers and sausages (barbecue) but cam easily avoid the coleslaw and potato salad and the cake ive now got to get up and make.

FannyFanakapan · 17/05/2015 07:43

Calzone, thanks for the smack.

Honestly, i had a stressful week and just went "oh fuck it" last night. I think the issue is that I had a busy busy day, got home after 6, no food in the house, everyone expecting me to rustle something up when actually what I wanted was to sit and be left alone. Of course him-indoors couldnt possibly make dinner (grr) or shop for any food. SO all down to me and I had nothing specific planned.

Ah well, today is a BRAND NEW DAY and I shall be shopping later and planning and looking at several no syn days. And forgiving myself.

What I have learned was that chocolate is not all that, cheese is OK but really didnt hit the spot, but the one thing that i'd say "I regret nothing!" over was good bread and vegetable antipasti with lots of olives. THAT hit the spot, oh yeah baby!

FannyFanakapan · 17/05/2015 19:28

B: 2 toast (HeB), beans and egg

A Brand.New.Day. Grin
