Hi, hoping I can join in?
I'm SFS ( a regular, on mn but diff name for SW threads!)
I started SW in January on my own and did really well but kinda fell off the wagon by March so I then joined my local group.

Starting weight 14st 11
Current weight 13st 2.5.
Overall goal: 11st 2
WI :Tuesday night
Weekly goal 2lbs and gold body magic
Ultimate goal : general better health, feel good about my body, prep body for ttc #3. Also looking forward to not having to buy clothes based on how they hide tummy /muffin top and feeling confident in wearing sleeveless tops.

This week I'm aiming for 2.5lbs off so I can reach my 13st mini target. Judging by my own scales I think I've done it ok with 2 more days to go.
Body magic is mostly c25k on treadmill, walking and swimming.

Food wise im really boring /easily pleased. Last few weeks have been
Breakfast : omelette or egg "pancake" with bacon and peppers Or quinoa porridge with chia
Lunch : baked potato with tuna or beans or bolognese/chilli and a side salad.
Dinner : SW ready made curry with microwave rice Or the beef ready meal Or pasta with bolognese.
Snacks : fruit or hifi or alpen.

If /when I get bored I'll change it but I don't enjoy cooking or planning meals ( unless fancy special occasion ones!) I know if I tried to be more adventurous I'd fall off wagon again because the effort to cook is just too much paired with other time consuming stuff that's happening in my life right now. Maybe when it's less hectic I'll get back to making everything from scratch, and enjoying it, like I used to!

Sorry for the essay!

dublingirl653 · 10/05/2015 17:29

You're all doing so well, I love this thread!

I started in Jan. I'm 6ft, SW was 15 stone 7 Confused CW is 13 stone 9, so I'm 1 stone 12.5 down in total. I'd like to lose about 4 in total.

I'm getting on alright, I'm cooking loads and getting quite a variety in there. I'm obsessed with SW blogs for inspiration!

Today I've had oat pancakes with muller light and strawberries, quite chilli packed with mixed veg and rice, and SW pizza topped chicken with wedges and broccoli. Snacks of hi fi rocky road, carrot sticks and fruit, and Alpen light. Ending today on 11 syns.

pheebs007 · 11/05/2015 10:01

Ugh had awful bingey weekend. Climbing wearily back on wagon this morning. Too scared to go to meeting tonight. Will post meals later. Bloody pmt Hmm

annielostit · 11/05/2015 11:58

Come on pheebs, don't be scared. New day new start. You might spiral if you don't face it. Be brave you can do it smile]

Well today?

B - Boiled egg & hex b toasted bread
sw quiche as need some picky bites in fridge
L- stir fry & chilli chicken
I want chips but that's not good!.
D- salmon vegetables & sw wedges.

S- yogurt pineapple & raspberries. Mallow biscuit 3 syns.

FannyFanakapan · 11/05/2015 13:25

pheebs, dont quit on us! Today is a brand new day, and the start of a brand new week. Draw a line under the weekend!

-----------------
Go to weigh in and face up to the binge weekend and by next monday, see the weight come off.

Ive actually found that on the weekends I do go a bit overboard, I am more strict with myself the rest of the week and found I lose more.

pheebs007 · 11/05/2015 14:53

Yes I'm ok I've had porridge and milk for breakfast
2 boiled eggs and salad for lunch

I am not going to the meeting though. It will make me feel much worse. Maybe I'll go another day this week when my period has come

SheHasAWildHeart · 11/05/2015 19:22

I feel like I've eaten too much! Can someone tell me if what I ate today was ok:

Breakfast - egg with FryLight, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans
Snack - Aldi Be Light crisps (6.5 syns)
Lunch - couscous with roasted veg (peppers, onions, courgettes) and pomegranate seeds
Snack - strawberries, raspberries and mango chunks in fat free yoghurt
Snack - two Aldi benefit bars (HEB)
Dinner - chicken in tomato sauce with peppers, courgettes and cannelloni beans
Before bed - glass of milk (HEA)

I've tried to include super free, free, healthy extras and some syns. I don't know whether the SW recipes are too generous. They usually say "serves 4" and I divide into 4 but thunk I could easily divide into 6 instead. Is there a reason why the portions are so generous and does it matter if I have less than recommended?

SheHasAWildHeart · 11/05/2015 19:25

Seeing it written down I'm shocked at how much I've eaten. I think I need to incorporate my HE with my main meals to stop having so many snacks!

FannyFanakapan · 11/05/2015 19:49

shehasawildheat, I think your appetite will adjust - for now, just follow the plan. I certainly found in the early days I was constantly snacking, but after a while off refined wheat and sugars, I found I wasnt really snacking at all, and also lost that near frantic need to graze.

Today, im looking at....

B: Toast (hexB) with marmite and tomato
L: leftover noodles, teriyake chicken and broccoli stir fry, with some samphire thrown in for good measure.
D: Risotto and salad, with a Mullerlight goodie after. Risotto had bacon lardons in plus a small glass of wine, but divided by 6 people, so Im counting 4 syns.

Snack: Strawberries.

HexA = milk in my tea all day!

SheHasAWildHeart · 11/05/2015 19:57

Thank you. Am just going to do Davina's 7 min workout to make me feel less guilty. The thing is I'm a 'grazer' and prefer to have little throughout the day rather than three big meals. I've tried to incorporate the Heslthy Extras tomorrow and this is what my meal plan looks like:

Breakfast: overnight oats (HEB)
Lunch: chicken, courgettes, tomatoes, peppers and cannelloni beans
Snack: fruit in fat free yoghurt
Dinner: gnocchi (2.5 syns) with melted mozzarella (HEA)
Snack: Aldi Mini Delight chocolate (5 syns)

calzone · 11/05/2015 20:56

B.....2 Alpen Light bars, banana, Apple, tangerine

L.....leftover chicken dinner
Melon

Diet coke

D.....veggie stirfry
Ff yoghurt, fruit

Velvet crisps (4)
Goodies yoghurt (2.5)

OP posts:
LaurieFairyCake · 11/05/2015 22:26

Last 3 days ive eaten pretty much the same.

B - beans, toast, marmite, satsumas, bananas, yoghurt
L - salad, fruit, Aldi quavers (3 syns)
D - salmon, potato, a fuck ton of veg and salad

Not been hungry at all. Even had to go to McDonald's for 40 minutes today (car getting done next door) and just had a cup of tea.

I am, however only on week two Grin and I'm not going out anywhere or doing anything.

FannyFanakapan · 12/05/2015 06:44

Laurie, you need to plan in some variety. Your body will get bored with same old same old and you will be removed to snack. If you plan something exciting or different in the week, it will keep you on track. Interesting article in the daily fail today about gut bacteria and how our diets are killing off the bacteria that keep us slim. Need to increase the variety of foods we eat...it stated that old diets used to contain up to 150 different things but we tend to stick to around 20.

Slimmerforsummer · 12/05/2015 08:06

Your lunch sounds like my kinda thing WildHeart. V colourful!

I think if you feel full then it's ok. I haven't made many SW recipies but I split the ready meals in half and share with my dd. With an extra portion of rice it actually split 3 ways and we were all full.

Was doing really well yesterday til I had a rustler burger then 2 chocolate bars Shock I just cracked. I've never even eaten a rustler before. They usually turn me but yesterday I craved one so badly despite never eating one before. Wish I'd checked syn count first instead of after!

Omlette
Pasta and fruit salad with yogurt
Alpen bar
SW tikka and rice
Burger
2 x dairy milk bars

Must be 3 days syns just in that "supper".

Weigh in today tonight. Not sure if I'll have got my 2lbs, but def 1 anyway.

SheHasAWildHeart · 12/05/2015 08:46

How often does everyone weigh themselves? I know everyone who goes to the classes weights themselves every week. I am doing this myself with books and websites - I weighed myself on 2nd May and don't intend to again until end of the month, otherwise I know I'd become demotivated. I've been doing the Davina DVD on and off for the past couple of months and I can already see a difference with my abs, so hopefully that she keep me more motivated than what the scales say!

Slimmerforsummer · 12/05/2015 08:50

I weigh most days and find it motivational.
If I haven't hit my target I try harder, if I'm on track for target I'm so happy and dont want to mess it up!

FannyFanakapan · 12/05/2015 09:04

I only get weighed at the end of the week. I dont have any scales at home.

My DFIL weighs himself constantly - before he has a poo, and afterwards (and he shares this information....Hmm Shock) whenever he showers (which could be 3x a day, as he goes to the gym and he plays tennis and golf). As a couple, they diet if they are going on holiday so they can pig out, they diet before all big occasions (like xmas and easter)

Once a week will give you a good view on how its going, more than that can be for any spurious reason like water retention or obviously having a big poo... Hmm Grin

SheHasAWildHeart · 12/05/2015 09:06

Hahaha FIL sounds slightly obsessed.

The only scales I have at home is the Wifi Fit but it's a bit temperamental. So gonna spend 50p and see if the Boots machine is more accurate.
