There are lots of SW posts which I love reading but was finding it difficult to remember where to post my weigh in and menus for the day.

Hope no one minds me doing this......Smile

I am Calzone and I am 5ft 6'. I joined SW last week and weighed in at 14st 3lbs.
I am doing Dry January and think I have been pretty good this week with my food choices.....

Food today
B......fruit/tea with sk milk
L...2 bread, beans, 2 eggs
D....DH is doing Lebanese and promises it is SW friendly.Smile

So, if you want to do the same.....post and share, otherwise this will be my SW experience.SmileSmile

B: bacon, mushrooms, tomato, egg
L: Tuna and cucumber sandwich ( hex B, plus 1 syn salad cream), grapes, satsuma
Sn: Milk chocolate digestive - a whopping 4.5 syns
D: chicken curry, rice, 1 tbs mango chutney (2 syns)

HexA milk in tea

Might have a glass of wine later, if I can persuade DH to do the kids taxi...

LaurieFairyCake · 01/05/2015 19:45

B - 2 nimble wholemeal, salsa, 3 slices Turkey bacon, 5 tomatoes. Muller lite yoghurt, banana. SW half a muffin.

Lunch - half a baked potato, SW chilli, muller coconut, satsuma, tomatoes

Dinner - salmon, salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, SW sweet potato wedges

Syns - muller chocolate fix, SW muffin, muller coconut, salsa - 7 syns

Hexb - 2 nimble wholemeal
HexA - 2 Babybel lite, splash milk

Why the fuck are Muller chocolate Fix 5 Syns? They're the same calories Angry
It's because they're really nice.

fannyfanakapan · 01/05/2015 20:53

for the same reason that a chopped banana is free but a mashed banana is syned... Hmm Grin

LaurieFairyCake · 01/05/2015 20:56

What?!? How weird is that

j200 · 02/05/2015 07:44

Hey ladies can I join you? Got a stone of baby weight to shift and joined Thursday. I eat healthily but snacking is my downfall ie prob have been eating about 25-30 syns a day! Anyway new start, onwards and downwards! X

TheBooMonster · 02/05/2015 08:28

Yup, by mushing the banana you destroy the fibrous content and with most fruit mushing it means you're able to eat more than you would whole, and I thought I was doing so well having smoothies for breakfast before I started sw!

I made fig ice cream yesterday by adapting the forest fruits recipe on the website, turns out I don't like figs and now I have a huge tub of it in the freezer, and I clearly fail at beating because it's full of ice Sad I wonder if I can use the slimming world ice cream recipes in an ice cream maker...

Yesterday:
B: mullerlight
L: slimming world caeser salad (hex a: cheese)
D: homemade lamb burgers with slimming world sweet potato wedges and a free tzatziki. (Ciabatta 10.5 syns)
Snacks: highlights (2 syns) 2 hifi bars (hex b) fig ice cream

A much better day, but I'm struggling to maintain the extra healthy extra's I'm meant to be having because of the breastfeeding...

TheBooMonster · 02/05/2015 08:29

Welcome j200!

LaurieFairyCake · 02/05/2015 09:58

The good news is that after I posted last night I decided to treat myself to a decent glass of red (6 syns).

After 3 days of SW healthy eating it affected me lovely and I slept very soundly.

Tonight I have a party to go to so I will be enjoying more than one glass. And avoiding the nibbles.

calzone · 02/05/2015 10:21

Am eating loads this week!

Lots of free food but need more water.

Ooh, the hazelnut Douwe Egb coffee is awesome!

B.....2 hash browns (3s), 3 quorn sausages, 2 eggs, baked beans, 2 bacon, pickled cabbage

OP posts:
Midori1999 · 02/05/2015 10:55

I feel a bit like a stalker asking another question, but are most hash browns 1.5 syns each calzone, or a particular brand? (Annoyingly, since rejoining in Jan I haven't been able to get on the app or website and bed to ring SW about it really. I do have the syns book, but it takes forever to find things!)

Laurie, enjoy your party tonight!

I am going to make moules mariniere tonight and have it with chips. I can't wait!

Yesterday was:

B: onion omelette

L: sushi and fresh fruit salad.

D: chicken jalfrezi and rice

fannyfanakapan · 02/05/2015 12:01

SOmeone recommended Sweet Freedom Choc Shot Liquid Chocolate at our group - 1 tsp = 1/2 syn. I had it in my coffee for a nice mocha.... you can find it with the hot chocolate, its in a small squeezy bottle - like a little ketchup or mayo plastic bottle.

calzone · 02/05/2015 13:03

Midori......go to SYNS ALLOWED on FB.....Tis awesome!!

MC Cains hash browns are 100g for 3 syns, I think. Smile

OP posts:
BlueberryMuffins76 · 02/05/2015 13:30

The Choc Shot is awesome - they also do orange and coconut flavoured ones which are also lovely.

I'm 1 stone 12 down, although this week has been a bit off plan so
I'm annoyed with myself but back on track for the weekend.

fannyfanakapan · 02/05/2015 20:20

Oh dear. See this?

-----

Thats my line for today. I was on plan all day!

late B: Potatoes, heck chicken skinny sausages (4 = 2 syns) with tomato, corn, onion, peppers
D: Duck pancakes (2 syns), salmon teriyake and noodles.

And then it all went wrong with wine and toffee popcorn.....(hic)

calzone · 02/05/2015 21:49

B.....cooked breakfast (3s)

L....quorn stirfry with Tilda whole grain rice (3s)

D....ham salad (dressing 1s)

French fries (4s)

OP posts:
j200 · 03/05/2015 06:45

Well day 3 yesterday and think I'm on track and been a lot more mindful of everything which is good! Can't believe how many syns I was having in dressings etc (well ontop of the chocolate lol!)

B poached eggs 1xtoast (1/2HEB)
L Tuna salad 2x ryvita (1/2HEB)
D Chicken bacon stir fry

Snacks Apple Melon 0% yog

Syns alpen light, options hot choc, extra light mayo, miso soup, mini milk - 10

Today will be a challenge as people round for BBQ, got some carte for to go with the fruit salad for dessert but it's 18 syns per 100g!!! I might have to have a teaspoon!!

j200 · 03/05/2015 06:46

Carte D'or Wink

holdingontight · 03/05/2015 07:13

Hello everyone. RL has been a bit nonsense and I've not been here for ages - can I pop back?

It's taken me 8 weeks but I have just got my half stone award. It's been a slow start but really into it now. Better losses on the weeks I stuff myself with veg. And the biscuit bitches at work have been conquered. I've written all the syns on the tin and it is just so not worth it. It's been very empowering to just say noSmile

J200--step away from the carte dor GrinGrin not worth it for 18 syns and 100g is such a tiny amount in the bowl! I've been freezing muller coconut or cappuccino they don't freeze completely but it is nice for a change with fruit.

Is anyone doing SP? I'd really like to give this a go but need serious organisation and inspiration!

StuffedCrustPizza · 03/05/2015 08:18

Hi! I joined SW for the first time January 2014, lost just over 2 stone extremely slowly (on and off plan for a long time) but since Christmas I've just been really off plan. I've stopped going to group (found it less motivating tbh) and want to go it alone now!
Today lovely DH cooked breakfast for me but forgot to do my small wholemeal bread... so had two boiled eggs, one slice white toast from 800g loaf and an apple for breakfast.
2.5 stone to lose (want most gone by September ideally!)

LaurieFairyCake · 03/05/2015 08:28

Good party. Piles of cheese/crackers /nuts/pate

I was almost ok. I ate 20 peanuts, took my 3 Babybel lites with me, and drank my syns as red wine.(16)

I then accidentally ate a tiny piece of birthday cake Angry Basically two bites but one was icing. So ive called it 7 syns - I reckon it was a third/or a quarter the size of Starbucks lemon drizzle cake. I was feeding my niece and she gave me her icing to eat and it was so damn cute I ate it Grin

So not too bad - 2bites cake, 20 peanuts, 3 glasses wine.

It could have been much worse. But no synning for me next 3 days.

fannyfanakapan · 03/05/2015 13:05

you and me both Laurie. (clutches head) I dont normally drink more than a glass or maybe 2, and last night I drank a whole bottle - 24 syns Shock but once I was off the leash, I ate a bag of walkers crisps (7 syns) a bag of toffee popcorn (7syns), a muller chocolate fix (5 syns) and a couple of other things besides. SO I think Im looking at c. 60 syns yesterday. Im syn free for most of the week I think!

BigSister1989 · 03/05/2015 18:17

Please can I come and play? Not joined SW properly because there isn't a group near me and too poor to join online (student!), but have started today. My meal plan for tomorrow is :

Breakfast : Overnight oats with strawberries and raspberries
Snack : Cucumber and carrot sticks (will be on the move)
Lunch : Pickled herring and potato salad with 0% fromage frais and chive dressing, lettuce, cucumber
Snack : Apple
Evening : Ham, jacket potato (with more fromage frais!) and broad beans.

HExA: Milk for my tea!
HExB: Oats in porridge
Syns: There must be some in there?! Otherwise will have to find some...!

BigSister1989 · 03/05/2015 18:23

Oh and stupid question... how many syns in dark chocolate? I'm thinking really dark stuff?

fannyfanakapan · 03/05/2015 19:10

welcome big sister! dark chocolate is 6.5 syns per 25g.

fannyfanakapan · 03/05/2015 19:14

Ive been virtuous today -

B: boiled eggs, toast (hexB), lightest philly (1.5 syns)
L: leftover Salmon & noodles. Mulllerlight.
