Okay, so I'm going to start Slimming World again. I lost about three stone last year on it after having my DD but I've put it all back on and more :/ and I feel stuck in a massive rut.

This time however, I'm back at work so can't make it to group, so will be doing it from home. If anyone else is thinking about starting SW, or already has, I'd love to have someone to chat to and check in with! Anybody? Smile

That's brilliant, well done Cannotbelieveit :)

My books have arrived and I've got the latest edition of the magazine too, so I'm going to have a read and get my head around it.

beckslovestimmy · 28/07/2014 19:47

The thread had gone a bit quiet.

I weighed today 1lb on in 2 weeks of not really following it (couldn't weigh last week due to work). Was expecting worse.

I'm moving house this week so will try my best to stick to the plan. Trying to empty the freezer.

Well done cannot that's an amazing loss for 4 weeks. I've lost 5.5lb in 4 weeks.

I got the summer book tonight so going to try a few of the recipes once we've moved.

Katiekins90 · 28/07/2014 20:22

Evening everyone,

So after saying I couldn't see where I lost any weight from, we all went fishing today and I've just been looking at some photos on OHs phone and I'm actually so happy! I can really notice a difference in the photos. (Hope that doesn't sound a bit snobby!)

I've been off plan for four days but will try and stick to it this week, our kitchen work should be completed this week so is no excuses not to be cooking. I'm quite looking forward to cooking again actually.

Well done on all the losses 11lbs in 4 weeks is amazing.

I've one and a half pounds for my club 10 but aiming for 1lb (had doughnuts at the boot sale oops)

MalletsMallet · 29/07/2014 08:12

Hello everyone. I have not posted in a while but am most definitely sticking to the diet!
I've now lost 1st 6.5lbs and won slimmer of the week 2 weeks in a row!
I usually weigh in on a wednesday but as I'm working tomorrow I'm going to another group my consultant does tonight. I'm feeling a bit nervous at being the new girl.
I've mostly been eating jacket potatoes for lunch and either pasta or meat and veg for tea. Fruit and yogurt to snack on. Thankfully my body is adjusting to this diet and I no longer feel starving all the time!!

WhereBeThatBlackbirdTo · 30/07/2014 21:48

I lost this thread for a while - it refuses to be 'watched' and 'on' at the same time!

Well done everyone on all the losses.

My weigh-in day is tomorrow.

I was away last week so didn't go to the group. We ate out a lot and I kept hearing my consultant's voice saying 'make wise choices'. I even left my half a lager after I found out it was 6 syns!

MalletsMallet · 30/07/2014 22:21

FFS...I stayed the same.
I really don't understand it but there you go!
To cheer me up my consultant text today to say I am slimmer of the month and that definitely spurred me on Smile

WhereBeThatBlackbirdTo · 31/07/2014 11:37

I've lost another 2lbs, so 6.5lbs altogether.

I'm quite chuffed with that!

And Mallets a STS is much better than a gain! Well done

Katiekins90 · 01/08/2014 11:07

Lost another 1lb last night

1 stone 1.5lbs in 9 weeks

5lbs to target which I will then lower as I thought a stone would make a huge difference when in all honestly it hasn't!

Well done to all the other losses and STS

IdahoHasMyHeart · 01/08/2014 11:33

Well done on all the losses and STS :)

I've weighed in after 6 days (always weigh in on Fridays so I wanted to keep it like that) and I've lost 1.4lbs which I'm pleased with especially as I haven't been 100% because I wasn't sure if I was doing it right. I've now read the books and have next week all planned out.

Have a great week all.

Cannotbelieveit · 01/08/2014 12:10

Lost 3lb this week and 1st so far now!! Only 3.5 stone to go! Wink

Katiekins90 · 01/08/2014 12:57

Wow cannot any hints with what you're doing that's a really good loss!

Cannotbelieveit · 01/08/2014 13:19

Limited my carbs this week so I only had pasta once/rice once etc

otherwise didn't do anything differently than the other weeks! I've still drank lots of water/cordial and ate lots of fruit and salad

Katiekins90 · 01/08/2014 14:06

Ah ok I can't limit my carbs or I'm hungry a lot.

I'm aiming to loose a pound a week so I get to target the week my son goes back to school

TheWildOnes · 01/08/2014 14:10

Id love to join you all, started originally in January and lost 2 stone then went off plan but managed not to gain. Wanted to start again a couple of weeks ago but wasnt in the right frame of mind but finally feel like I can, fingers crossed!

Cannotbelieveit · 01/08/2014 15:50

I'm a carb fiend but have been filling myself with fruit and veg and the drinking water when I think I'm hungry. Think I was hugely dehydrated before

OneSkinnyChip · 02/08/2014 20:10

Hi Smile Joining you all if you don't mind, I just started a couple of weeks ago and 6lb down. Need to lose at least 1.5 stone. I am enjoying the programme so far now that I am used to all the cooking and avoiding bread. This board is very quiet but I guess come January it will be hopping Grin

WhereBeThatBlackbirdTo · 02/08/2014 21:03

Welcome to all our newcomers

Here we all are, quietly using the SW plan, quietly losing weight 1 lb at a time!

beckslovestimmy · 04/08/2014 14:39

Hi guys, been very busy moving house so haven't posted. Not been sticking to things 100% so put on 1lb last week and lost it again this week. Not too bad considering. Will be getting back in it now.

I'm having Gammon with SW roasties, peas, runner beans and gravy for tea. Looking forward to it.

Has any body tried done good recipes recently?

OneSkinnyChip · 04/08/2014 18:27

Hi all :) Blackbird that weight loss sounds good to me! I really hate the whole thing of losing weight at speed. I didn't put it on at speed - I've been lugging it round for years - so not expecting it to fall off overnight.

Becks a 1lb gain and then loss is really impressive after moving house! We are having one of those months where we seem to be away and back and away again. I do find it hard when I'm out of my own kitchen. I've just been trying to eat sensibly at breakfast and lunch and then having what I want within reason at dinner. I will have a gain this week but a lower one than I would have had if I hadn't been SW conscious.

Cooking a joint in the oven here which will make a roast dinner, pasta sauce and be mixed in with couscous and savoury rice. Also planning to make a huge vat of SW Thai Green Curry tomorrow so I can freeze some.

Eddas · 04/08/2014 23:34

Hi can I join you? I really need somewhere to chat about the plan!

I've been on the plan nearly 5 weeks. I've lost 2.5lb,1lb,2lb and maintained last week. Think last week was period related! Weigh in on wed and hoping to lose this week ideally 1.5lb to get myself a sticker Grin

WhereBeThatBlackbirdTo · 05/08/2014 08:12

OneSkinnyChip it's funny you should say that - it was only a few days ago that it dawned on me that it took a while for the weight to go on, so it makes sense to come off slowly.

And welcome Eddas - this isn't the fastest moving thread but we're all here!

OneSkinnyChip · 05/08/2014 16:55

Hi Eddas :)

What's everyone having for tea tonight? Min jacket spuds and reduced fat sausages here, maybe with a bit of broccoli and cabbage.

WhereBeThatBlackbirdTo · 05/08/2014 17:55

Hah! We're having jacket potatoes here too! With baked beans and probably salad for me, meat of some description for the carnivores in the family

Katiekins90 · 05/08/2014 19:51

Evening,

We are having slimming world chicken tikka with boiled rice.
No syns yet today so going to syn a mini curly Wurly later (3,5)

WhereBeThatBlackbirdTo · 05/08/2014 19:52

Noooo!

Just back from a visit to PIL for FIL's birthday. I was presented with a large slice of home-made victoria sponge with jam and a double layer of butter icing (which I don't even like) and I had to eat it so I didn't offend!

Must have been three days worth of syns!
