A burglar woke me up, well my cat was trying to hide under the duvet and I heard them creeping around downstairs.

I turned all the lights on upstairs and made lots of noise. The burglar left closing the door on the way 🤨

A screaming frog on the carpet next to the bed.

My Mum screaming out from cancer pain.

I was watering the plants in my dream, but actually just dumped a full pint of water in the bed in the middle of the night.

A huge spider running up my leg

A massive pain in my head. A few weeks ago I woke up to a flash of light and tremendous pain going through my brain out of nowhere. It was followed by a 15 hour migraine, which is unusual for me - my migraines usually last around 4 hours 🫤.

Also, a couple of weeks after I got my kids high sleepers there was a loud crash in the middle of the night, followed by my six year old crying. It turns out she had tried to disembark from the bed by swinging from the light shade. Bringing the ceiling electrics with her.

I also woke once to find my eldest skits stood by the bed staring at me. That was creepy.

House down the street on fire.

Mild earthquake in UK. I thought a ghost was shaking the bed at first.

Heartburn.

The ring alarm going off at 3am.
It was a false alarm (faulty sensor on the back door) but for 15 seconds, my heart was pounding thinking an intruder was in our house (our dd was a baby at the time)

A man banging on my door around 4.30am when I was heavily pregnant, living alone and with my 2 young kids in bed. He was banging on the door and trying to kick it whilst shouting for someone who didn't live there. It turned out he wanted someone 3 doors down and had the wrong house. He was drunk and apologetic when he realised but I was shaken up.

Child vomiting on me. Earthquake (actually that was quite fun as it was UK so very minor earthquake.) Massive spider right next to my head (had it crawled over my face??)

A moth fluttering in my ear! Wild life seems to be featuring a lot on this thread!

A massive crashing noise that I thought was a window breaking. Ran downstairs thinking someone was in the house (no idea what I was planning to do about it). A painting that had been in same place for 5 years had fell off the wall out of nowhere and the glass had cracked.

The fire would be terrifying :(

A phone call to tell me my dm was dying and the ambulance was on it's way, I was 200 miles away 😢

A burglar . Many years ago when I shared a flat with 3 others . Someone had left a ground floor window open and the guy was creeping around but bumped into something and woke a couple of us up . Scary .

Smoke in the room. Drunk housemate put stuff in the oven & fell asleep on the kitchen table and oven stuff went on fire in the end. We were lucky the house wasn't burnt down. Ironically the food was mine that he had taken.

Also I woke up once choking and coughing and eventually spat out an earwig!!!

Burglar alarm going off at 3am. I was on my own. I had to investigate which was really scary. It was a malfunction and I then spent 20 minutes trying to disable it which was also really panic-inducing. I didn't sleep much that night.
